  1. I think he meant in terms of huge wages they are all on. Some I think are on 25 to 40k a week. Higher than us.
  2. I can see Bruce going after the weekend. Villa target was playoffs at least this season surely. Someone threw a cabbage at Bruce. Villa fans have turned on him. Boro deserved to win at Ipswich today. Jackson and Nolan look poor tonight. Surprise to see Edwards on bench after what I seen of him. Some poor defending tonight them. Boro should have been 5 or 6 tonight. Good win for Rowett and Stoke. Nothing to fear from Bolton. On what Ive seen all season no reason why we cant make top 6 this season
  3. I thought you had some figures to back up your point you were? Maybe from the Fans Forum if you are part of that group or from a friend in the ticket office. Maybe we could get the fans forum to ask the question next time.
  4. Or Mowbray is just being honest as he has been in every interview and comment since coming to the club. I would say that our squad this season is one of the fitness ive seen in my time as a Rovers fan
  5. Brentford sell one or 2 of their best players every season. Egan was sold to Sheffield United. How can Smith manage a bigish club if he isn't given the chance to do so. Brentford are a club I expect to be top 6 this season. They have a director of football/head coach strutuce there and Smith does very well in that role of head coach. Villa are looking to go down that structure from what I have read recently.
  6. From Rich Sharpe Ryan Nyambe’s hamstring injury set to rule him out for up to four weeks. Charlie Mulgrew trained today. No other issues for #Rovers ahead of tomorrow’s game.
  7. Its look like Bruce has lost the fans and I think is very likely. Smith would be very good option I could see a change at Stoke but I think they stick by him. Can they attract a better manager? Is their problem more mental and having to change it around. Unsure on Neil at Preston. Maybe Appleton or Ainsworth could be options. But are they are any better? Who knows on Hull. Its a crazy club.
  8. Newspapers are reporting Bruce has two games to save his job https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/10/01/steve-bruce-facing-two-games-save-aston-villa-job/ Also close to appoint Techincal director aswell. Dean Smith has been linked with Bruce's job.
  9. Do you have any figures to prove this case? Sales before 12pm and after 12pm figures Good point. Its very rare I buy drink or food in the ground. Tend to call in at Bakery at Brownhill for Sandwich/pie.
  10. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16953459.rovers-will-summon-the-spirit-for-next-challenge-mowbray/
  11. So the 3 pounds extra change doesnt affect them then?
  12. Nope. Most walk ons order tickets days in advance and it would be nice to see some figures. Maybe the fans forum could get the figures
  13. Double type it. Palmer on bench cos he cover 3 positions as Rothwell is starting the game for me. Every position is cover by the bench.
  14. Raya Bennett Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Smallwood Reed Armstrong Dack Rothwell Graham Subs:- Luetwiler Williams Rodwell Brereton Travis Palmer Conway Not risky Evans with his Hip injury. Key player
  15. Its due to lack of trains. We would have prefer to stop off in Chorley and Blackburn for pub crawl before game then back to Preston for the night out. The price isnt a proper factor.
  16. Does 3 pounds really make much difference tho?
  17. Far too early to judge. His appearance at Bristol City was non exist as most players went missing second half. No service to him. Villa appearence was asked to play wide and did it ok but not his position. Stoke Appearance was a cameo at best. Asked to close down and chase. Had a chance of 1 on 1 with keeper if Rothwell's through ball had been better and reach him.. A player lacking match fitness, sharpness and confident. But under Mowbray im sure he will come good and develop into a very good player for us.
  18. You.can discuss wingers until the death but it aint going to do.any good. I would call most of your list that are wide man not wingers. Chapman will sign for us in January. Same as Bauer. How can you fix what isnt broken. Yestetday the Ref cost us. Evans has a Hip problem. Wouldnt risk it
  19. Yesterday game prove that Rovers are attracting walk on's fans but people are choosing their games due to family and work circumstances plus other factors like being paid that week or so before the game does help.
  20. Mowbray wanted Chapman but Pulis was Pulis and kept him. in centre midfield we are now strong with Evans, Smallwood, Reed, Davenport(who I looking forward to seeing), Rodwell and also Bennett and Travis. We are very well stock there and its been a weakest for a well. In January I would be looking for 3 signings, A back up keeper, centre back and winger
  21. Yes Refs are poor but lets ignore that fact and lets not try to improve them. They have been poor for a number of years and nobody has done a damn thing about it. No wonder FIFA didn't want our refs are they are poor. On Wingers debate, another one we have all discuss to death, we know Mowbray views on it. When I was growing up players like Wilcox, Ripley, Gillespie, Giggs were wingers who stretch the pitch and kept wide. Modern days its very rare to see this. I have to say Players like Wilson aren't wingers In my opinion. A winger is someone who stay wide and put cross after cross in. Bennett was a winger in young days but has develop into a wide midfielders who does a good job in terms of attacking and defensive. Rothwell is a wide midfielder but not a winger. Mowbray wanted Chapman didn't he but Pulis kept him waiting all summer for him. my team for Sheffield United game is Raya; Bennett, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell; Armstrong, Reed, Smallwood, Rothwell; Dack; Graham Haven't we all discuss this all before. Mowbray has explained how he played 4-2-3-1 formation a number of times in detail whether its a Rovers fans forum or BBC Lancashire. why keep going over it. He prefer a Bennett on one wing and Armstrong/Palmer/ Rothwell on the other with Dack and Graham in their roles. At Stoke he went abit more solid with Reed and Bennett wide cos of the 1st half at Derby when we where wide open.
  22. I would target Nicholls from New Zealand. Bat 5 fir us. Then it be Jennings Hameed Davies Livingstone Nicholls. Good batting line up
  23. Blimey if thats was a defensive side 1st half with all them chances we created compare to nothing from Forest 1st half. Did Raya even made a save 1st half? Both teams 17 shots at goal. Rovers had 9 on target aswell.
