  1. Still no answers to very simple questions. I wonder why you cant answer them. Double standards.
  2. Kids could lose interested if they dont see games after games.. I want to see midweek away games as I cant get to them atm. I love watching live Rovers games in the ground but not everyone is like me tho. So the red button for midweek games does help alot..
  3. I worked with a few Liverpool, Everton, Man Utd fans and some attend games regularly and should dont and much rather watch it at home on a dodgy box or Channel. Isnt it a UK or UEFA rule that 3pm kick offs cant be show live. Where does it stop? It wont. I wouldnt be surprise In 10 or 15 years time that most PL and Championship clubs will have their own tv channel showing every game live for 20 to 30 pounds per month. Same price as a ST ticket. Thats the way its going. But surely you want to keep fans and under 16's fans interest in the club who cant attend for various reasons.
  4. I want to see as many Rovers games as I can. Plus like Ive just said it gives fans who cant attend to not locally or due to family/work commitments chances to see midweek games But surely the tv deal need to go up tho to cover lost revenue by clubs tho?
  5. Sky give millions of people the chances to watch loads of sport and tv series/boxsets they wouldn't be able to watchotherwise. I take it you don't have Sky then? So I do you watch games that you don't attend then? Do you not a season ticket then? What about fans who dont live locally or miss games due to work and family commitments surely this give the chance to see their club live at least on Sky by having the red button option?
  6. No answers to my questions poses
  7. Thats their choice but dont starting accusing people of being to blame for people not attending game. Cos I am season ticket holder and attend every league. I also notice you didnt answer any of my questions. Wonder why? Cos you have sky and watch Rovers on it? Why? What about fans who dont live locally or miss games due to work and family commitments surely this give the chance to see their club live at least
  8. what a load of rubbish MCMC1875. Sky give millions of people the chances to watch loads of sport and tv series/boxsets they wouldn't be able to watch otherwise. I take it you don't have Sky then? So I do you watch games that you don't attend then? Do you not a season ticket then?
  9. Steve Waggott on #Rovers' ambitions (https://t.co/10GF4U0G5V), a passionate TM on the emotions of management (https://t.co/NvCCeFFlqi), and the boss on why there's reasons to be positive https://t.co/wcxdvrMzbV https://t.co/8abLSkXQ56
  10. I could listen to Mowbray all day long.
  11. Rovers have a core fan base of around 10k to 11,500 fans. We will attract fans to the odds games but I don't see these people turning up to every game like the core fan base will. The damage was done much early in Venkys reign. The average attendance in our last season in premier league was 22,551. That figure will include away fans aswell. where are these all these 15k fans who turned up for the Oxford game, how many of them have been back this season? I really wonder, maybe 2 or 3 k. Waggott has already said why there is a surcharge for ticket sales after 12pm.
  12. Matty, I think we could reduce prices to 15 pounds per game but I dont see loads of fans buying tickets for each game. Fans will pick and choose their games to attend. And with Christmas coming up fans will be even more selective. Maybe do a special deal for the games over Christmas. 2 game for 25 pounds for adults and kids for 1 per game Alot of fans who dont attend regular(2 or 3 games per season or less or not attend for years) are very unlikely to buy more tickets or season tickets. These people have found other ways to watch Rovers or other things to do now. The damage was done in previous years before Mowbray and Waggott joined Rovers.
  13. No not a serious amount of income at all. But I'm very sensible with money. It is reasonable compare to other events like a music Concert. I had look into buying some tickets for Rod Stewart music concert at Bolton ground recently and they were over 60 pounds each for seats that were basic and far away from the stage. U2 tickets for their concert at Manchester next Saturday would cost me over 400 pounds for seats which would allow me to see most things. Would you say they are reasonable prices?
  14. That's your opinion. But the prices are reasonable and standard for the region we all live in I agree on your 1st point. The surcharges have little affect on anybody IMO but we need know the figures for tickets after 12pm on match days. They were plenty of people queue for the Forest game. Its the way it is. I'm very happy with what I paid for Sky, Amazon and Netflix considering how much I watched them and the family does. I want to watch as much football as I can. same with Cricket. Plus lots of films and TV series.
  15. I think the ticket prices are reasonable and standard for the area in terms of championship clubs in our local area. Teams are Bolton, Wigan and Preston. I think a surcharge doesn't affect much tbh. but we need figures to sort this out. 2 kick off times have been change and that's it. hardly a big thing. I would say your biggest gripe is you being moved from the Darwen end for away fans. I will email over my suggestions to him tonight.
  16. Thanks @Red for the Brereton info. But I did say he is better with the ball into feet and runs the channels. I think 7 million pounds is a bargain as long as Mowbray can get the best out of him. For me, he is lacking match fitness and confidence.
  17. Sky wont be going anywhere for many years. I'm watching England right now on Sky. Without Sky I wouldn't get to watch all the football I can watch plus my cricket which I will be up at 4.30am to watch it.
  18. I have read the Waggott's article a couple of times now plus today articles about fans opinions who go and don't go. Price is a problem but so is that fact that people who haven't been for a few years and now have other interest, the dates and times of games plus Sky having games that are non 3 pm kick-offs and quite detail highlights. It was mention by one fan who mention having a season ticket for weekend games cos he couldn't get to midweek games due to work commitments. Some fans will be working shift work so unable to get to get midweek games. I can understand Waggott's point about the price. I think its a combination of number of factors and I feel now we need to start targeting families with Kids under 11 and Primary schools. Get Children involved and at games regular. I remember back when I was in Primary School that we went the Blackburn Rovers indoor football school before the game for a few games and then go game. We did this a couple of times and I really enjoyed it. Maybe its time we did cheap Kids tickets with an adult price. Waggott missed a big chance when season ticket should have been on sale before the Oxford game. But they weren't. I would love to see the figures for ticket sales after the 12pm deadline where there is a surchange in place. It was dead busy before the Forest game when I walk past at 2pm. I feel we shouldn't be comparing to the 2000/01 season as it 17 years ago. I would look at the figures when Bowyer was here and his second season. And compare those figures instead
  19. Brentford sell at least 2 key player every season. Egan left for Sheffield United. Woods for Stoke. Was target the last 2 season top 6? I dont know. I think I change was likely after a takeover. Bruce and fans relationship had hit rock bottom. Maybe Bruce should have walk away last summer. He recently looked very tired and like he had loads on his mind. He need a break from football till next summer. Smith plays good football and Villa are capable of playing good football. Will be interest to see how it done. His number 2 at Brentford is joining him at Villa.. Looks like Brentford 1st team coach Franks will get the head coach job. I wonder if he will promote a young defender from under 23's.
  20. Good appointment by Villa. Smith is a good coach and will play the way some Villa want. Surprise by his number 2 choice but I would suspect that his Brentford number 2 O'Kelly will join him there. I said Villa would go down this director of football/head coach structure but I thought they would have for someone like Steve Walsh. Who next for Brentford? Wouldnt surprise if they appoint first team coach Franks as head coach for the season. Or appoint someone like Heckingbottom who would fit this head coach role. Wouldnt be surprise if Smith go back for Maupay from Brentford. Will Brentford make top 2/6? All down to next appointment. Will Villa make top 6? Good chance.
  21. Really poor deal.. The Walker family didnt need to sell but they didnt listen to the right people. I dont understand why Battersby and Currie didnt buy the club then.
  22. Didnt the Walker family want rid asap that why so cheap.price?
  23. I still reckon Brentford's Dean Smith will get the Villa job
