do you not think Rotherham, Ipswich, Birmingham, QPR, Hull City, plus a couple more have worst squad than our and quality?
-
Firstly, I don't think Millwall are one of the weaker teams in the league. I expect them to be mid table. big strong physical team with plan A and they know how to play down to a tee. And All credit to Harris and his players. Its a very simple Plan A away from home and after 65 mins they shut up shop and took the point. We struggled to break them down after this. Now Ipswich on the otherhand I think are one of the weaker team in this league and it took a freak/lucky goal for them to get a point. agree on Palmer and Bennett playing more inside second half and gave us 25 mins of pressure. On Rothwell looks good. tricky and pace. Did faded but I put that down to Millwall tactics They had 2 shots that hit the post but that's it. Raya had a quiet afternoon really otherwise. Battered us abit OTT Comment I agree with Rich Sharpe that Bennett was man of the match. I said he was my man of the match yesterday night. For all the things Bennett does in games and was everywhere yesterday and didn't even want to come off Would it surprise you if I told you he was joint 3rd in assist last season. The same as Mulgrew and Williams. Dack had 9 last season https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/blackburn-rovers/leistungsdaten/verein/164/plus/1?reldata=GB3%262017 Bennett knows his role when he played wide whether he need to cover the full back or come inside cos we being over run in there whilst Palmer or Armstrong wouldn't. Neither did Chapman.

I agree we need to be looking for Graham long term replacement. Brereton or Gallagher would fit the bill. A year here under Graham learning the role and how to play it would be ideal. Yes he was a big signing for Palace at the time. I suspect his agent and Palace are trying to get him a loan deal so he can play. I don't see Mowbray moving for Joao at all. Not sure he would fit into the squad in terms of attitude and work rate. Plus didn't Mowbray and Joao have a falling out in Mowbray 1st season?
-
Graham isnt over weight at all. I think he was coming off yesterday until Bennett got injured. Nuttall was warming up for a long time yesterday Gestede has done nothing since leaving here and our current team and style isnt set up for Gestede. Plus isnt he injury or even had pre season? And why would Pulis let him out when their squad isnt that big. Plus Gestede's wages are liking to be beyond our reach
-
Nixon linking us with Wickham from Palace. Stoke also interest Big NO from me. Shocking poor injury record and for me far too much of a gamble
-
Karl Robinson was manager there and we had Bowyer/Lambert has manager here. Do you have any stats on the Graham and Gallagher partnership in the 2016/17 season? Maybe signing Gallagher or Brereton whilst Graham is here will give them time to learn from Graham. We can play a different way with different strikers. Nowhere did I say Graham and Gallagher were the same type of striker did I?

Well firstly I have answered your Bennett point already last season. My answer is still the Yes. Ali isn't a natural wide player but still give Newcastle right back Yedlin a trouble time. Palmer will learn otherwise he wont be playing. I disagree. WE offered some attacking threat without a killer pass. We just have to agree to disagree. Not thought on the Hull game yet
-
I didn't write it properly. my point being was we wont be involved in a relegation battle. I expect a mid table finish at worst. would be happy with a 14th place finish
-
I felt Bennett did well in forward position and I felt the crossing from all players needed to be better. I felt Palmer at times did well with staying wide and move inside at the right times 1st half. Second half he roam far too much for me. But I felt after 65/70 mins Millwall shut up shop and took the point with no attacking threat. Always felt this was a tough game due to their style, tactics and size of their side No I felt the 10 mins we were poor but after that I felt it was more of even game 1st half. We played well during that period but The defending for Morrison shot was appalling. Nope Rothwell look quick, tricky and offer a deffo threat from the left. Has your opinion on him change?
-
Coyle being at Rovers was joke in terms of everything. MK Dons was the wrong club and manager at that job who didn't use him right and in terms of role or tactics. I don't know how Cotterill used him last season either but his tactics are generally long ball in 4-5-1 formation which isn't his game. We don't play in that formation or long ball game. How many times did Graham and Gallagher played together and how many goals did it produce? I feel with the 3 behind Gallagher in Dack and others they would play to strengths like run in behind defence and play to feet. I am quite happy to used Nixon on Brereton being available. and I wouldn't be surprise if Karanka decide he didn't want Brereton Thanks for sharing

I feel 5 out of the bottom 6 will still be there come end of the season -
disappointed to not win today. Felt we played well and excellent in parts. Millwall had 2 chances and hit the post with both. But after that I felt they didn't threaten much. very strong physical side I felt it took us time to settle into the game. Our first 10 mins we weren't at the races. Graham had 2 great chances and he should have scored 1 out of 2 chances. Palmer was very decent. Talent is there but match fitness is. Some good touches and movement. Rothwell was good. good touch, movement, tricky and He had a great sun, tricky and shot. I thought it was in. Bennett was my man of the match. His work rate, closing down, tackling and energy. Plenty of positives today. Deffo don't feel we will be involved fighting relegation at all, I don't understand why anyone think that either
-
Lazy suggestion? Iook elsewhere at who? I felt his goal record here was good. Got to remember we had Coyle for 7 months of the season. I don't think you can count the MK Dons spell at all. I would be happy with either tbh. but slightly preferred Brereton tbh. I can't see Brereton being happy at not playing and trying to be sold behind his back by his own club interesting Brereton only came available in the last 2 days of window

Supposedly not fit is Davenport

Mowbray will talk about everything I would imagine after the game. I much rather he focus on the Millwall game and making sure we are tactically spot on, set pieces work done and everything else. Why tell the player unless you have a buyer? Probably why the Player is now unhappy possibly with his own club going behind his back. I have no time for Karanka. Massively attitude problem. Almost like a mini Mourinho. -
I would be happy with either as long as the deal is a loan to buy permanent in January at a fee already agreed now. We dont want teams messing us around changing the fee or terms of the fee It would be great wouldnt it. Cant see it. Brereton is 183cm and Graham us 185cm. So not a massive difference.

Do you know how much Southampton want?
-
So who would we prefer Brereton or Gallagher? Tough choice that.

Alan Nixon said that Money came available after about 2/3 weeks ago. He was surprise and abit sceptical. Now whether Mowbray and Waggott had talks with Venkys and they agree to increase the budget I don't know but I feel its a good possibility due to the cost of players market and crazy fees. (my view is in the Blue) He said we got Armstrong for a good price and good deal for us. On Brereton bid, He said Forest bought in an agent to sell him on Wednesday the day before deadline day. He was offer to Rovers and on deadline day we bid for him but when Brereton found out he was being sold he said no he wanted to stay. But he wouldn't be shocked if we went back in for him on loan to permanent deal before the deadline On Freeman bid, Rovers bid for him and as did Forest did. But the reason the deal didn't happen was because McClaren threated to walk out if he was sold as he is their best player. On Gallagher, Rovers did hold talks with Southampton about buying him but the fee they wanted was too high plus wages could be problem as he's on 24/25k a week. could be loan target. He said Gallagher should be asking for a loan move as he wont be playing but if he quite happy to stay there for the wages then its not a player you want to sign. I did miss about 1 minute of the comment about Rovers. I will upload a link later -

Did you listen to Alan Nixon on Radio Lancs tonight who explained why we had money towards the end of window to spend and why Brereton was available and Why it didn't happen and why Freeman didn't happen? -
The Clough info was posted before deadline day and I didn't post anything from him on deadline. Maybe look back before asking questions that wasn't needed anything else Ricky?
