  1. You do make an excellent point there. other players do have to step up there the game. I thought both Palmer and Armstrong had good games yesterday. I don't see my team I picked as having 7 or 8 defensively players. Nyambe proved how much he has improve his attacking play. Reed is a box to box midfielder. Ive played Bennett wide to help Nyambe against in my opinion Preston best player in Callum Robinson.
  2. Smallwood was good for me yesterday and I would like to see Smallwood and Reed do the same job they did at West Brom away Brereton isn't a target man like Graham is. He like to run with the ball, movement is a big part of his game and the ball into feet. Mowbray has talk about change our style of play and become move of passing attacking style.
  3. How can you come up with an answer when Teams are man mark him like Norwood did for Sheff Utd. Putting him wide for 5 or 10 mins would give the opposite a different problem, something to think again. Not saying for all game but 10 mins spell. I think the centre midfield battle is very tough at the minute with 5/6 good players who can all play there. Bennett, Evans, Smallwood, Reed, Rodwell and Rothwell Plus Davenport. I did like Smallwood and Bennett second half yesterday but I did enjoy seeing Rothwell there and his dive and ability is a joy to watch. I would play Bennett wide right with Dack centre and Armstrong wide left. My team would be Raya; Nyambe Lenihan, Mulgrew, Williams; Smallwood, Reed; Bennett, Dack, Armstrong; Brereton
  4. Yes it did take a long time to get rid of Coyle but I think Senior wanted rid of him from day 1. Also it was Senior who went and got Mowbray. or so he says from the emails I have from him. I have asked Rich Sharpe to see whether Mowbray and Waggott are going to India this week. Awaiting a response Lambert wanted that get out clause cos he didn't trust Venkys would follow through with their promises of money in the summer and back his plans. Also I think Venkys didn't trust him either from this point onwards and was happy to see him activate that get out clause. didn't Hanley and Duffy want out cos Lambert left? Didn't Coyle under cut Warnock who was set for job and the paperwork was on Cheston desk when he went of on holiday then suddenly we appointed Coyle
  5. I am fully aware of Graham age thanks pal. Mowbray has talk about change our style of play and I expect to see this over the next 18 months. A much more of passing attacking style I know Graham was.
  6. You mention Dack form has dipped. That's down to more teams marking him tightly and allowing him no space. Teams at this level will do this. Sheffield Wednesday, QPR, Rotherham 1st half did it. I mention this again yesterday to the people I go with about playing Dack wide right for a spell and move Palmer inside for 5 or 10 mins. to give the opposite team a different problem. I did like the selection of Palmer and Armstrong wide. I wouldn't play Palmer at Preston but his last 2 performances have been improvement. Nyambe must start at Preston away and we need Mulgrew and Williams back for that game. Maybe not in your team would be in my team now. We need to play the ball better and into the box better. Brereton isn't going to hold the ball but He will make little runs in behind defences and if we play the right through balls to him, Dack and Armstrong we will score goals. Its the long high balls I don't like us playing. Its a waste tbh
  7. He isnt a target man. His game is based on movement, running in behind defences and with the ball. Graham is target man who hold the ball up, wins headers.
  8. I agree. He wasnt a focus point at all yesterday. Have to strongly disagree there. We need his passing, running with ball and drive yesterday. No thanks.
  9. I will be at Preston, Wigan, Boro and Leeds away games. So they you are Mercer.
  10. He didnt hold the ball up, win headers, chasing down defenders which is rare. Is he carrying a knock? We have to start playing Brereton and adapt our style
  11. Very true. I think he needs to adapt and come up with a plan B. But @CP Company Lad how much are you missing Ayling and Bamford?
  12. But hes not always on the touchline. He didnt stand still but always on the move. I agree with your last point mostly.
  13. Brereton game is based on movement and making runs. He aint a Graham or Crouch type player. I knew this when we signed him. We have to adapt and learn to play different. Yes I would agree our crossing wasn't the best today we created a number of good opportunities today and should have won. Graham chance, Armstrong last minute left foot shot, Dack chances, Bennett and Palmer shots. we had enough. Armstrong was good wide but a couple of times he need to gamble on the ball reaching the back post and he would have bag a brace. The second half performance was pleasing and good to watch. Shame we didn't start the game last this.
  14. these friends don't have season ticket because of this reason. so they pick and choose their games instead. I think if we have good month we might sell double that figure.
  15. I think it was about 3 or 4 minutes before the goal and I'm sure I saw Brereton getting ready. maybe I'm wrong. Brereton doesn't stay in the middle of the pitch but will look to move around, use the channels and make runs agree he should start
  16. Firstly, MY idea wasn't to suit me at all, cos I wouldn't be working that day if Rovers are playing at all in the league. I will be off simple as, so please stop lying roversfan99. But I do know 2 friends who cannot attend midweek games simply down to working shifts look at this link mention about half season ticket sales being part of the target https://www.rovers.co.uk/contentassets/72f15c4f64fc46be88e3fa7646577133/ff-minutes-17.9.18.pdf 'SW stated that season tickets had been taken off sale after the Aston Villa game and that sales stood at 9,641. This was below the club’s stretch target of 10,500, although that target included half season ticket sales (typically around 300-400).'
  17. I thought you didn't attend. I was there so I trust my judgement thanks. Brereton was coming on before Rotherham scored actually. Maybe look at the stats before commenting we were negative when you weren't there
  18. His targets can still be met if half season ticket sell well I have suggest some potential deals which if I remember correct you disagree with one or 2. is the cost the main problem or it is the quality of football at this level, the past 8 years under the owners, lack of PL football, People lack of time, work commitments, family commitments and with people who haven't been for a while have found other things to do. I know a few people who fall into these categories above. which is a shame but I respect their decisions just like any Blackburn Rovers.
  19. I like the line up today but I would have prefer Brereton to Graham. Palmer did well today. was impressed
  20. Those Targets did include half season.ticket sales. Special deal/promotion? Why when you are ST holder?
  21. too negative? what planet are you on? 26 shots at goal and 66% possession. hardly negative. So being on Brereton in the two games didn't have positive impact in both games and got us 4 points. You attend today? I thought Graham was poor today. didn't hold the ball 1st half and sometimes dropping far too deep Brereton might score goals if he started games and was given more chance of scoring. His movement today was good. Did well to set up the goal
  22. I would have prefer Brereton to start today in place of Graham who I thought was poor today. did he hold
  23. surely you should be asking people who didn't buy season tickets not a person who been a season ticket holder for over 20 years? 349 pounds for 23 games which works out roughly 15 pounds per games which I think is cracking value and cheap IMO. you may disagree and that's fine by me. On Sheffield Wednesday prices are little high but I do feel that's 20 pounds per ticket is about right
  24. I wish you would return JB I feel the prices are right at the minite, we had around 1500-2000 walk ons fans and at times this we had up to near 3k. But with Christmas coming up I accept we will struggle to more fans at this stage
  25. it was a very frustrating today by the players who never stop trying and showing desire and passion. 1st half, we couldn't going till towards Armstrong effort towards the end of the 1st half. Rotherham did have 2 very good chances but neither went on target. 2nd half we up our tempo and our passing, movement and creative were much better and improvement greatly. People will complain about us struggling to break them down but second half we ripped them apart but failed to score and that's cost us. even at 1-1 I felt we deffo score the second Armstrong was very good today. Palmer, Smallwood and Bennett all good today. Lenihan and Rodwell had decent and steady game. going forward Mowbray is going to have a problem which players play centre midfielder as we have 5 good players in there plus Davenport We deserve to win after all those chances and opportunities we created. Dack took his chance well but should have score at least 1 more. Graham finishing was poor and I felt his all round game was today was poor. I was pleased with Brereton today. Never stop and I thinking he is trying too hard at times. Rotherham never changed from their 4-1-4-1 formation and I will credit Warne with having his team set up well and playing as a team and buying to Warne tactics. They have took points off Boro and Preston(I think) away from home, so I wasn't surprise their tactics or the time wasting. Frustrate result but its another point for us. I would have deffo taking this position at the start of the season at this stage. onwards and upwards
