Waggott on Rovers https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/may/steve-waggott-qa-part-two/

But someone like Conway on the wing would be good away from home where he will be solid, defensively good and stay in his position. Experience in defence? We got Mulgrew and Williams are very experience. Lenihan is 24 years old and played in more than 100 games now. Players like Huth are far too old and too injury prone for me. Dont forget he hasnt played a league game all season or barely been on the bench either.
-
I fear for test and 4 day cricket future. I dont understand why Buttler can be picked for test cricket when he hasnt played 4 day cricket all season. When players like Joe Clarke, Liam Livingstone and Nick Gubbins have perform this county season and hasnt been picked.
-
I wouldnt miss t20 cricket at all. Like watching it but much prefer watching 5 days of cricket. Dont see t20 going anywhere tho. I think England problems are down to more than t20 but its a factor..another factor is the quality of county cricket and players

Waggott on Rovers budget http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16251610.Rovers_budget_will_allow_for__quality_and_depth__to_be_added/ Quote from the article above "We’ll have a competitive player budget and have a transfer pot of money as well,” said Waggott. “You never disclose what you’ve got because agents pick up on it. “We have to be smart with what we’ve got but we should be able to add depth and quality to the squad.”

Do we prefer test cricket or one day cricket or twenty20 cricket? Myself I prefer Test Cricket. always have.

I trust Mowbray to make the good signings and give us a team to be proud of. Agreed 1000%

Different situation and position. Antonsson started well but done nothing in the last few months since he injured.. Southend at home, Bradford away and Peterborough away.
-
Peterbrough away, Southend at home, Charlton at home, Bradford away He scored 2 goals and 3 assists last season. what I find crazy is you dismissing a player who has loads of experiences and knowledge of the championship. his positional play is good, good defensively and can be used of the bench for the last 20 mins to help us keep the lead. I don't know why you are concern about his wage when you don't know how much the contract offer is. surely you got to trust Mowbray and Waggott to do the right thing by the club. agree 100% Biz.

I agree with your posts. I think some coaches are far too old fashioned and haven't developing the coaching ability I agree with that. I think Mahoney and Wright made the wrong decisions in leaving here. not one has made a first team appearance in the league for the club that bought them Of Course I watched Conway played. he struggled in some games but played well in some. I think you will find that I was posting a couple of weeks before Mowbray even said owt on the subject that I would offer him a new 12 months contract and I outlined my reasons why. We don't know the finances are and after Mowbray and Waggott comments I wouldn't say Finances are tight at all. But we are looking to be sensible and not over paying for players The finances isn't our problem. that's Mowbray, Waggott and Cheston job. Thanks for info on our football career. I don't agree that Fitness can be taught cos players need to have natural fit in modern football. cant imagine many children these days playing on the streets like they did about 20 years when I was young enough to play football. its all been banned streets due to busy roads and councils stopping kids playing. I agree after reading Mowbray comments on Rovers and LT sites and listening to Radio Lancs he seems to want young and athleticism players who will development here, not be on crazy money, fit into the squad dynamics and attitudes. I would imagine Conway would be a basic contract with adds on based performances any more news on this whether its a loan or permanent move? very true but coming off the bench to use experience and knowledge of this league exactly what I been saying. He can use his experience and knowledge in the championship my stance has been clear even before Mowbray even commented on Conway and his future so why do you keep lying in your post. I outlined my reasons why I would give him a new 12 months deal.

More on Venky's meetings from Steve Waggott: "We’re going to continue to grow, not a boom or boost model, but sensible growth." https://t.co/7TdtcHf3b0

We dont know how much hes on or what type of contract it is? What sentimental? Conway has loads of championship experience and knowledge. Why would you let go? Very true there. Cant disagree there. The game hasnt change much? Really. It change from tactics, formation, fitness, tackling, defending,

Mowbray during his Radio Lancs interview he mentions that he wants 4 or 5 signings this summer. Whether that permanent signings with loans players on top I dont know. Going to listening to the interview again He also mention about giving the current squad a chance this season.

Nottingham Forest, Hull City and Sunderland are among a number of clubs lining up a move for Scunthorpe United's highly-rated winger Hakeeb Adelakun. #NFFC #hcafc #safc #scunthorpeunitedfc https://t.co/1M0TcB279c

Bowled out for 184. Pathetic performance
-
Sacko and Adeulken would be good signings. Both got pace which we lack. Armstrong is deffo. Grabban and McNair wages might be too expensive for us. Unsure on Garner.
-
agreed
-
Bess made his debut. Wood starts instead of Woakes. England made a poor start and 3 wickets down at lunch. Tho the Pakistan bowlers have bowled well. Stoneman looks out of form. I wouldn't have pick him but either Gubbins or Jennings for him.
-
said cheap buy didn't he?
-
From Nicko Blackburn. Want a young Prem midfielder. Loan or even buy. Hopefully name and details at weekend.

Didnt Mowbray reject an Ipswich approach?
