  1. Cook jump ship a lot. Never been a fan. wasn't when he was at Stanley. The Championship is crazy results wise league in the world. some surprise results, Hull beating WBA, Rotterham beating Swansea and Norwich beating Sheff Wed 4 nil. Lambert got a point at Ipswich. He left out Jon Nolan, Nsiala, Ward and Graham out of his squad and played youngster Jordan Roberts up front in 4-3-3 formation.
  2. Have I said I want to play wide all the time or ever some of the time. I can understand him playing wide if we chasing a game and we play Armstrong, Graham, Dack and Brereton in the attack. But I want to see him up front on the first part, someone has posted the reason. please look at those comment. the last 3 lines are embarrassing to see you post. Feel so sorry for you. You don't have a clue mate and very judgement when you don't know the facts. Mowbray should be sack? ? do your research as I and others have posted before. I aint doing again for you as I really cant be bothered with you or your posts He did very well. we played into space or his feet not long balls. not his game. Very pleased he did well today. There is loads to come from him
  3. it was a boring game and both teams off the pace. McClaren came for a point and didn't get one. they missed Hemed clearly. Rovers were slow and no movement attacking wise. Armstrong was awful and made the wrong runs a lot of the time. Graham, Dack and Evans were awful. Lenihan and Williams were excellent and gave Wells and Smith nothing all game. Leutwiler did the basics right and had a easy game. no saves to make. Brereton finally got on and make some good runs and won us the penalty. Dack slotted home. Good win when we wasn't playing well.
  4. Reaction from TM on an 'ugly, horrible game' and a #Rovers performance that won't live long in the memory https://t.co/c6zoJwNVdu "It was a pretty poor horrible football match." #Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray battles the fireworks after his team's hard-fought 1-0 win over QPR. #Rovers #BBCFootball #BBCLancsSport https://t.co/R8hLLaAqWn
  5. Very odd deal? Why keep comparing to other teams? Brereton is great talent and he will become a good player here if manage right which I believe Mowbray is. I hope Brereton is starting today aswell
  6. I disagree with your point on 7m should be the finished article. Every signing is a risk and even if we sign like say Waghorn what happen if he didn't settle in the area and wanting to move in 6 months time. I agree with Mowbray who wants to younger players and developing them. I think it is the right way for us to go as a club
  7. Prices are once again fantastic value with adult prices starting from £179, a saving of up to £85 vs matchday pricing. Senior tickets are available from only £105; whilst supporters aged 18-21 can watch all the action from just £95. from this link https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/november/half-season-tickets-on-sale-now/
  8. Travis, Downing, Nuttall and Tomlinson all involved in the under 23 game
  9. I talking about Garry Cook who was on the board and had the experience of running clubs. on Paul Cook, I don't him being there by the end of the season. He is very clever man in jumping ship quickly. But I guess it all depends how the club is run and by who
  10. Yes Brereton can still learn from Graham even if he is playing as wide forward. Have I said that Ive changed my opinion where he should play? no I haven't but we have heard where Brereton see him playing at the minute under Mowbray I think it was Mowbray choice to go for Brereton when Brereton came available just before the deadline
  11. Cook is leaving I read somewhere next week. so Joe Royle will be running the club? will they not be appoint a CEO to run the club?
  12. I agree with your 1st point. Marriott's wages were a problem. McGoldrick could have been a decent signing but he is in his 30's, Bamford isn't a number 9 striker Brereton isn't the same type of player as Graham so we are going to have change our style. Said this when we signed him he wasn't a like for like replacement for Graham. Mowbray had spoken of changing our style to more of passing style. He is 19 years and need time to develop and understand the ways our team plays under Mowbray. This take times. The club debt shouldn't be any kind of factor in judging Brereton at all. firstly, thankyou for sharing this info. I mostly agree with this remit and building a young and exciting who will improving and increase in value. Plus I think it suits Mowbray's coaching staff. on Brereton's scouting report wouldn't someone like our Chief scout Stuart Harvey and Mowbray's number 2 Mark Venus not done the scouting on Brereton?
  13. Well then fans should take a step back and actually realised what Brereton needs. And stop looking for instant results. You are talking alor of rubbish about Brereton's confidence being affected by where he plays.
  14. I really hope Brereton scores tomorrow and we win. some of the crictism on here is well over the top and you can't blame him for the fee we are paying for him. I am very confident he will be good signing for us as long as people support him in the ground and we don't hear some of the negative shouts I heard at Stoke. Patience and time is need. Trust Mowbray to get the best out of him
  15. To your question no but neither did I say this either so its a pointless and needless question. I said who my 5 main stay of my team is.
  16. Mulgrew is 1st every time then Dack/Bennett are 2nd and 3rd. Mulgrew is our leader and very important to this team. Bennett is fit he starts every game for me. Then Graham and Raya. Lenihan isn't my list.
  17. He was attacking threat against Leeds. I disagree we are light in the centre back and right back positions. Mowbray has said he sees at the minute as wide forward as Graham will be 1st choice and we cant argue against this. We all know he likes a wide forward in his 4-2-3-1 formation. How do you know it will affect his confidence? He wanted Rothwell last January but he didn't get it done but still went back for him in the summer. I expect we do the same with Bauer. You can keep going on the money and other posters can aswell but we have done the deals we did. Cant change the past. Bamford was mention but he isn't a number 9 striker. How is it irrelevant? Manager has told you why he do it. How many other managers would do this? not many. Dack played there 3 times week? we haven't play this week When did Mowbray say he wont be considered in his natural position. I read his comment that at the minute he will play wide if Graham is in the team unless we play 4-4-2 which we could tomorrow if Dack isn't fit.
  18. The Armstrong wide role at Bolton is interested and right. They said he was useless there for them I understand this point and I think a game for the under 23's might have been good for him. to get him scoring and his confidence 4 players for 1 role? Mowbray doesn't play with natural wingers or expect them to stay wide, but he gives them freedom to move inside and allow the full backs to provide the width
  19. nobody sign Maddison tho from a championship club. why not if he is that good? player attitude, wages? cos he is similar type of player to Freeman from QPR who we tried to sign. I think we know who Mowbray 1st choice is for the centre back role but his club wouldn't play ball and instead will lose him on a free or cheap fee. should we be interest in the fee paid as expectation should be the same from every player/signing. I can understand your comments about Mowbray but I think Mowbray wants to ease him in and not put pressure on him and suffer a lack of confident. We have money to spend and I would expect some spent in January if the right players are available. I agree with your comments above and I think we change our style soon and adopt a more passing style Bamford isn't a number 9 type of striker either tho. He either wide forward or a number 10 striker. I think we are short of a target man type of striker looking at it. A like for like replacement for Graham isn't there. Brereton and Armstrong aren't target man strikers and I did say we would have adapt our style if either play the 10 role. I think Brereton will be the striker we used when Mowbray finally move us to a passing style of play as he has discuss in the past. have you actually read why Dack played up front on his own against Leeds with Brereton and Armstrong wide?
  20. He didn't looked hopeless wide against Leeds at all. He was good and played well. Mowbray sees him as a wide striker at the minute with Graham being the main man in the 9 role. Then moving into that role when Graham moves on. easing into the 9 role bit by bit. That's the way I read it. agree on the 1st point. he did play wide in some games under Warburton at Forest. I agree he was good against Leeds. don't understand anyone saying otherwise cos he wasn't poor. I agree on your real downer comment 100%. I always view Brereton has a long term project and he should be given time and patience. don't understand the rush and panic that set in when he doesn't play
  21. I would be playing him wide left/right and stop their best player Luke Freeman from having an Impact. For me, he is the 2nd or 3rd name on the teamsheet every week
  22. Bennett starts. Whether its right back, centre midfielder or on the wing. He is one of our best player and plays with his heart on the sleeve. Must start
  23. I dont think he is on thin ice at all. Dowling knows Moore so maybe he was involved in the decision to appoint him. I dont know. Its took a long time to get this deal over the line. I dont think Cook will be there by end of the season..suspect they appoint their manager and who will run the club for them
  24. WBA have appointed Luke Dowling as Sporting director and Ian Pearce as head of recruitment https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2018/september/albion-appoint-sporting-and-technical-director/ Dowling worked at Rovers under Appleton. Pearce is a former Rovers player
