  1. I know what we received Rev. The transfer budget was £5m as said during the Fans Forum minutes yet we spent more and another £5m so did reinvest some money from sales. I have already discussed the Hyam situation and the lack of replacement. did you my posts?
  2. I'm not twisting anything, I used what we know and we know the transfer budget was £5m and we spend near double that around £10m
  3. We couldn't agree new contracts with certain players but if we can't match their demands then we have to sell them. So we should break our wage budget to keep them then? So we should pay 30k a week if that is what they demand? yet you have no patience to wait and see what the actual situation is, cos you are already judging the player. We want a more box to box midfielder next to Tronstad now which is very different to the way we were playing last season. Yes we will miss All 6 in some ways, others more than others but Rovers must carry on.
  4. The original transfer budget was £5m as per the Rovers fans forum minutes. Yet we reinvested around 4-5m on top of them from players sales. I said last week Rev this very point.
  5. But he also said later in the summer that they had overhaul the squad more than he wanted but the contract situation meant we sold certain players and bought in signings. Yes none stayed but Travis, Brittain and Hyam we received around £8m for them which some of that money was reinvested in the squad from the original £5m budget. if we couldn't agree new contracts then do we let them leave for free which I thought you were against that. Their demands are much higher than we can afford Wrexham were targeted a another centre back and looking to pay £2.5m for that player. Rovers decided to take that money which I wouldn't unless you had a proper centre back replacement lined up to come in 2 loans to buy. Baradji loan to buy is a smart move by Rovers, if he plays and perform well enough we sign him.
  6. no point being over judgemental until we know what the specialist has said, exactly why Rovers did the loan to buy agreement? I take you aren't in favour of us doing this.
  7. my opinion He said other comments about the Rovers were making more of overhaul then we were expecting. Hyam shouldn't have been sold so late in the window and even more so without a proper replacement in. Shrouded in mystery? how? over his injury? Hasn't he gone to see a specialist over the international break? sure I read that somewhere Ismael and Gestede were big fan of him and wanted him all summer. Their top midfield target
  8. eh? what are you going on about now? I've never said he was the best in the league but one of the best which my comments says. The best one is Coventry's right back but Brittain is one of the best in the championship
  9. I think Van Ewijk and Pereira are the best 2 in the league. then about 5 or 6 players similar quality of player and Brittain is one of that 5/6 in
  10. we have good defenders and alot of them are playing champions league or previously have plenty of PL experiences. Hall is being slowly brough back into the first team. White is quality player for me. him, Guehi, Konsa, Burn and Colwill would be good 5 centre back to take the world cup
  11. @KentExile has posted his CV so matched most of it what we wanted. lets judge Rhodes on the job he does here.
  12. on Gueye, he hasn't progress under Ismael cos he doesn't suit our style anymore. on Gestede, he has been full control along with Owen and Ismael with signings this summer without in fighting we witness the summer previously exactly my point
  13. Which some loan managers don't but they have player experience of loans.
  14. Well clearly not otherwise he would have had a club in the last 12. Injuries stopped Wickham being a quality striker.
  15. I would be getting Lewis Hall in this squad for the next matches. Quality How is Tomori playing for AC Milan? I would play Ben White next to Guehi at centre back
  16. One of yes but we seen good signs from Alebiosu so far. His best game was Hull away Disagree there. One of Ismael's main priorities signings type and player wise. If we sign a free agent centre back we have enough to January but signing a new centre back is number 1 priority come January window
  17. We are discussing Rovers and football issues/subjects. I dont see the problem
  18. Alebiosu looked good so far, don't think we will miss Brittain too much but still miss him. McLoughlin has been solid signings. Looking forward to seeing Baradji play and we need an update were we are at injury wise. Tho he is someone Ismael wanted all summer. Same with Morishita.. Gudjohnsen is another one, I know not much about. Tavares looked good in a couple of games and poor last week. But it's a huge leap of gamble by Rovers but we still have plenty of championship experience around plus coaching staff who know this league very well. They will be plenty of ups and downs this season.
  19. he hasn't had a club for over 12 months
  20. well you asked the question and I gave you my answer. 2 or 3 is joke from you given you don't know how many of the new signings will be hit or miss all depend how quickly the new players settle in and perform and understanding the league. I would take mid table finish now and that what I expected after so many new signings and losing some key players
  21. any more news on Waggott's replacement and how close are we to appointment?
  22. We can't sell or Loan Gueye out when we can't sign a replacement I can understand that he isn't happy not playing but until the January he has to stay here. I thought Ismael would suit Gueye but I was 100% wrong,
  23. around 5 I would say given we didn't proper replacement for Hyam, had we sign an experience championship centre back then it would have been 7 out of 10. I would just say I think we got to properly judge these signings we don't know enough or seen play enough to see whether they will be hit or miss. Gutted to be honest, very good championship centre back but not to replace him properly is a very bad move. We will miss him Peterborough have a summer of rebuilding their squad but they have backed Ferguson with signings. It will take time to adjust but they will be mid table this season
  24. Didn't we offer David Lowe this role but wasn't he interested in that role? I actually thought it was ideal role for him given his background in youth development and experience Mike, we have been looking for a loan manager for around 12 months.
