  1. Of course it would work Mercer cos you are playing Bellingham as 8 next to Rice who would be sitting in front of the back 4 with Foden as the 10. Foden, Rice and Bellingham are best centre midfielders/Forward thinking midfielders we got. Pickford TAA Stones Guehi Davis Rice Bellingham Foden Palmer Kane Gordon
  2. Thomas came to us cos the Huddersfield head coach at the time wanted him out. Last season, he had a different head coach at the start of the season in Warnock who picked him regularly then the next 2 head coaches after Warnock
  3. If you watched the Ireland game, you would have seen Rice was more box to box with Mainoo sitting in front of back 4. No I don't cos my midfield 3 would be Bellingham, Rice and Foden. With a front 3 of Palmer, Kane and Gordon with back 4 of TAA, Stones, Guehi and Davis.
  4. Gomes is a defensive midfielder, Wharton is midfield playmaker and Mainoo is box to box midfielder/sitting midfielder
  5. all 3 are very different midfielders and shouldn't be compare. if he wants to play in France than fair enough plus he left United a few years ago and I think that looks a good decision.
  6. His time at Rovers should have zero baring on whether he should get appoint or not as England first team manager. On Gomes, he has been playing Ligue 1 football plus European football for the last 3 season, so your comments he has come from nowhere is wrong given he was part of England under 21 squad and was part of the successful team. Is Mainoo overrated really? Its a great point but I was surprised by their choice of head coach and it wouldn't be my choice either.
  7. But if you don't register Exaucé Mafoumbi then would he even be able to play in the under 21's?
  8. Exaucé Mafoumbi who we signed from Nantes. For total clarification, maybe the Fans Forum who meet the club on the 16th September could ask the question on which players are in the ESC slots and how many we got? @K-Hod @only2garners
  9. cos this player would require one of those 4 ESC slots which I believe are full now. If we hadn't sigh Toth then maybe we would have gone for this winger instead, But we signed Toth now
  10. That is a fair point. Test Cricket is my favourite form of cricket
  11. Nicko's article Blackburn Rovers are chasing speedy Sierra Leone winger Augustus Kargbo for the next window. Kargbo plays for Cessna in Italy’s Serie B but is rated one of the best players at the level and expected to be sold in January. Rovers may have to find over £1 million for the player who was on their list in the summer. Blackburn are also hoping to be first in the queue for Fulham flier Martial Godo in the New Year. Rovers were desperately close to landing Godo on loan in the last window and he even had a medical with them. But the deal could not be revived while Fulham landed Reiss Nelson at the death and held on to Godo in the late drama. Blackburn still fancy Godo to bring some pace and width to their squad.
  12. Firstly thanks for the reply Longsiders1882. Fair play and thanks for being honest with your opinion. Yes you do look short up front. Surely its top 2 automatic promotion with your team you got? Yes I have read that story about you academy director comments on their players there. I found quite an insight and how he viewed the squad. ok
  13. First half in spells we were good and played quicker tempo but second half it was awful. We have to get better No I hate these international breaks at all. In all honest these international football breaks need to be just 3 breaks not 5
  14. He does work at Barrow still
  15. Good to see Rice getting forward so much
  16. Yes when he had a shot at goal which Pickford saves.
  17. Gordon makes the difference here. Great strike by Rice.
  18. delighted for Freddie. Watched his TV series and it was great what he did for those people taking them to India and get them playing cricket
  19. No their backing is based on knowing him from being part of the under 21's team under him that won a tournament. Let's see how we play and where everyone plays firstly Agreed The same route as Southgate did
  20. I guess their backing come from actually working with Carsley and both part of the under 21's successful team. Southgate had no senior international football experience before being appointed. Grealish is starting probably down to Palmer and Foden not being part of the squad
  21. from media reports today its like Gordon, Grealish and Colwill will start today. Colwill at left back
  22. what signs are they that Carsley wouldn't be popular choice? Gordon and Gibbs-White have backed Carsley for the job. I would appoint Carsley if he does well in the games he is charge of. Just like we did with Southgate.
