  1. Its very good that you got Suhail to commit to attending your meetings with Rovers and I think you have got a coup there to be honest. on the Communication with the fan base, its been a problem for years now, the lack of communication from the club whether its ownership problem in India, or CEO Waggott communication to the fan base over this issue or the backroom changes this summer. I did say that Waggott should have done end of season interview like Blackpool CEO and PNE CEO did with Radio Lancs. Nothing from Rovers. As you said in other post, Waggott will do an interview with Andy Bayes, Rovers TV and Elliott Jackson before the window closes. Totally agree. Its been done to death and we have get rid of the DoF, Club Secretary and the recruitment staff, then appoint a new Head of Football operations, new head of recruitment, Head of Football administration and new Technical Director. Lastly, Please can carry the good work yourself and Mike Graham are doing. Its a moving in positive direction at the minute
  2. very surprised he has agreed to it. Good luck in the interview
  3. I love watching football and especially EFL and PL football, what's wrong with that Abbey?
  4. I totally understand what you are saying but we aren't in the chair doing the negotiations, Then on the other side we are playing hardball with Ipswich over the fee and terms of the fee for Szmodics. Why don't Ipswich just agree to the 500k just like you want to commit to the extra 450k for De Lange. The Szmodics money would allow us to bring in De Lange and Dembele(Who Nicko is saying Eustace wants him at Rovers). Then the rest will be loans for me. Ok thanks. Its Monday night now so any fee agreement will be tomorrow, then booked a flight and medical so its Thursday at the earliest before this deal get done. Eustace ain't picking him for Derby game
  5. I mentioned it to Roversfan99 just now. Ipswich are paying hard ball over not much. Lets hope it get done shortly
  6. of course it relevant how transfer fees are paid to us. The Wharton and Raya money is spent for me to cover the season debt of £20m. So that gone In my opinion. Where is this info from we only spent £1m for Gueye and nominal fee for Yuki Ohashi? even if De Lange signs this week, Eustace ain't going to start him against Derby. Its 3 days of training until Game day. Of Course we want to get it done and get him in as soon as possible.
  7. The Raya money is being paid in instalments when Brentford receive the money from Arsenal in instalments we get our money. Haven't we spend what we receive for Gallagher and Wahlstedt on Yuki and Gueye signings? Szmodics deal is close to agreement and it appears there is disagreement over 500k according to Nicko comments
  8. Fully understand that point and my mate who is die hard Blackpool Fan said he won't be going to Crawley on Saturday cos of kick off time and travel there and back. He will be watching at home. He is already annoyed by the Blackpool season ticket price and lack of signings this summer
  9. very true. The WATR is there to represent its membership.
  10. Thanks for update @Mike Grahamand @Miller11
  11. Who says it not likely we sign De Lange? who says we will sign a veteran keeper? De Lange deal will get done hopefully by weekend. It's a negotiation. Unlikely to be in for the Derby game.
  12. I think Dolan suited that pressing 10 role tbh and we need to secure his future here long term. I would be offering him 15k a week on 4 year contract. I agree. Szmodics must be close to be being done. He wasn't at training given comments on here. De Lange will get done this week. then just need us needing another 3/4 signings to get done. Mercer has said its not him.
  13. I will be there supporting Rovers on Friday evening where the only thing that matters is winning and getting off to a good start. I believe the trust have done the right thing by meeting with Suhail on Friday and asking him questions. I understand that the meeting was very last minute and that they have to tell their board first and then publish the minutes to members when time allows. I fully understand that board members have other things to do over a weekend given that people have commitments outside of being a board member. I look forward to seeing the minutes and what was said and what I want to asked the We Are The Rovers board members. Look at the We Are The Rovers website. We Are THE Rovers (roverstrust.com)
  14. Every EFL game is available to watch on Sky this weekend. It will be very interesting weekend to see what teams starts well.
  15. England batsman Graham Thorpe has passed away today aged 55. Thanks for all the great memories you gave us like your inning in Pakistan in 2000 to win the series in the dark or your top score in New Zealand which was great inning. RIP Graham Thorpe 🏏
  16. Nicko hasn't said we are back in for him in his post. Just said Charlton are struggling to meet his demands.
  17. thanks for that. I was totally unaware of that.
  18. The side of football fans don't see. Brilliant from Sam Gallagher
  19. Thanks for your comments Miller and I look forward to hearing about the Suhail Meeting more in the future
  20. Looking forward to the start of the season in 5 days time. I see Luton, Leeds United and Sheffield United as the 3 teams to beat. I don't know how Parker is getting at Burnley in pre season or what changes he has done so far. maybe @longsiders1882could tell what changes Parker has done to the tactics or what staff he has brought in? Think Boro and Sheffield Wednesday have made some smart signings. WBA might struggle this season with this EFL restrictions in place. Think Portsmouth will be the best of the promoted teams and with Bishop up front, they will score goals. Surprised that Hull haven't spend some of that money they have brought in. I suspect it will be wide open this season. I was talking to few PNE fans at work and they aren't happy that Lowe is still in charge. They wanted a change of management there. They have renewed their ST for this season but that's down to price.
  21. Its clearly, Eustace is pushing for this Baker deal, just like he pushed for experience signings and got them. Eustace highlighted four areas he wanted to strengthen and what type of players we wanted. Plus some experience signings. I agreed I'm not over keen on swapping Travis for Baker tbh. I can see the merit of Baker coming here but I'm not sure about swapping him for Baker
  22. ok, keep your pants on Eustace must want Baker but if Stoke let Baker then they want Travis hence we there is talk of swap deal. Yes it would leave us needed a centre midfielder player signing probably a loan from PL club.
  23. I hope we get the De Lange deal done early this week. Feels like another step in the right direction
