  1. Most of the TV games picked by BBC and ITV have been boring and pointless. Palace vs Everton was boring, Spurs vs Burnley same, Boro vs Villa same. Didn't see alot of Sunderland vs Newcastle game. Arsenal vs Liverpool has been a god watch for a neutral
  2. how and why? care to explained please? You have said he only has a background in youth football but has I have shown that many Director of football do like the 3 examples I have given you. His transfer record has had hits and misses as any others does. Do you think you could do a better job?
  3. why would any club sign a player they couldn't play for 6 months? 🤔
  4. I gave a rime example of a footballer who was late at develop and moving up the footballing ladder. exactly Gav. Hyam is an excellent buy for us and he was rightly named player of the year by the fans and players.
  5. I can spot players thanks Bruce, I just don't agree with your opinion. I see Wahlstedt has someone who need developing and understand the game over here where he will need to better at claiming crosses and command of his box but he is still young in terms of peak years as a keeper IF you look at the Watford game we should have been out of sight before we they scored. If we had been 2 or 3 nil then we don't lose that game. I also want 2 more defenders in. A centre back who is commanding in the air would help our defence and the keeper. Looks like O'Riordan is the other one we want. I want a centre midfield in who can back up Tronstad. We have conceded more cos our players have made mistakes or lack of form or not defending properly. Wahlstedt can't sign for another club as he would have already played for 2 clubs this season.
  6. No I wouldn't be signing a keeper in this window. When Pears is fit I would put back into the team and I'm fine with that for rest of the season and next. I would be focusing on signing players we need. For example a striker who can finish the chances we created.
  7. True cos they make the career choices and move to big clubs far too early. He would far better staying here and develop here long term
  8. Adam Wharton is expectational talent and so is Rory Finneran
  9. oh right but you could suggest different potential signings/players you would like to see? I never said Telalovic was like Vardy but given a prime example of Vardy playing Non league till 25/26 before moving to Championship and then scoring goals at Premier League, Championship and international level. Telalovic is work in progress signing and he is improving alot You don't reply cos we will never agree on anything.
  10. Firstly, I am against Garrett or Leonard being loaned out for the rest of the season as for me both had a big part to play here. I would choose to loan out Ennis over Leonard or Telalovic. I still think we need 4 more signings including 2 defenders, 1 midfielder and 1 forward before this window ends. I would be amazed if we did as I think we need to move Gallagher off the books(had the same opinion in the summer just for the record). We need to move on from Gallagher and I would just offer around for free if it meant we can bring in a striker for a small fee or loan to buy agreement.
  11. who are these more experience DoF? also alot of Director of football have a background at youth level. I will give you a few example Manchester United director of Football John Murtough, Newcastle United Director of football Dan Ashworth, former Norwich Director of football Stuart Webber. Both low cost signings and it would be very interesting who you would have sign on the budget we had? If he is that Shit then why is part of Rovers first team training on most days under JDT this season? JDT and the Rovers coaching staff clearly have identified we have a top talent here similar to Adam Wharton We had scouted Brittain, Szmodics and Hyam the previous season which to be honest I would expect the recruitment department to have done that given their performances that season, That's their job. Would Rovers had sign them if Mowbray had stay here? We don't know. The fact remained GB and JDT decided to sign them and that's all that matters tbh
  12. I totally agree there. Telalovic played well and if he had played the second half I think he would have scored Normally footballers prime years are between 27 to 31. Jamie Vardy of Leicester City were playing for Halifax town when he was 24 years old then helped Fleetwood to promotion to the football league before Leicester sign him and he went to score goals in the premier league and international football. in this window? any names?
  13. If you read @arbitropost it appears it wasn't a Hamstring injury or anything
  14. Thanks for clearing that up. I just saw Szmodics rub his side of right hamstring
  15. Still people think Mowbray is better manager than JDT. Its totally baffling to me
  16. the players and the fans is the club. Yet again more unnecessary and unwarranted criticism of GB and our signings. I gave my opinion on them this morning and I ain't changing my opinion.
  17. Sorry, I thought you meant the We are the Rovers/Rovers trust
  18. Some of us believe in this squad and JDT. If you don't but no need to keep telling us all the time deffo. He is getting back game by game He went down in the first minute of the game holding his hamstring but carried on then went on to scored a hat trick and no offence but he was full of running even at 5-2. So no it wasn't poor game management by JDT.
  19. Benson before the game was working with him on crosses in the warm ups. He is work in progress Deffo plus the signings we made in this window
  20. Before the game today, I was talking to someone who were telling that they were told Travis was moving on and that was at the start of the week.
  21. I just don't get the negatively here, we have players coming back towards end of January/start of February plus any new signings we will make. Still a chance of top 6 finish Maybe he is very wary of the problem and playing with some cautious. Wouldn't you after such an injury. I broke my bone in my foot and since 4 years on I still get abit of pain with it It has healed but it will never been the same as per injury
  22. Very entertaining game and Cambridge played their part in a good overall game. Pleased with JDT picking a strong team and wanting to win the game and play respect to Cambridge. Rovers started the game slowly and then Cambridge took a shock lead with a good shot Lankester. It took us about 15 minutes to wake up and start to up the tempo. Szmodics scored a good first time finish from the cross. Cambridge came back and scored again. Poor defending by Pickering but I do think Wahlstedt should have come and claim the cross. Rovers came back through Szmodics again. Then just before Half time Szmodics scored his third and his hat trick goal. His performance today was outstanding. Second half, we upped the tempo and we imposed ourselves on them more. The link up play between Szmodics, Sigurdsson and Pickering was very good today. Sigurdsson finally scored after a couple of good chances previously. Leonard's header was very good and did what a good striker should always do and head the ball back from where it came from. He did miss a open net earlier. good overall performance. Pleased to be through to the next round. Disappointed JDT took Telalovic off at half time cos he had 2 decent opportunities to score today. Felt he would score inn the second half.
