I posted what I thought Jon Dahl Tomasson got wrong including the formation selected. Players are on the field should make decisions in those situations and take some responsibly for themselves. They aren't babies. Yes, JDT sorted out this Win and loss streak didn't he? Yes we are 3rd in league and well above where I thought we would be at this stage. This next 4 weeks of getting them on the training pitch will be crucial and for him and the staff to coach them more than he has done in recent weeks. No surprised by your comment on Garrett. My view is very different on Garrett than yours. I'm nothing to add to my original point on this Footballers are just normal people at the end of the day so why shouldn't they use social media just like we do? They got time off so some players will go on holiday like Hyam, Morton and Szmodics plus I'm sure plenty more have. Its just like us going on holiday when we book time off work. -
One question for Tomasson

You seem to struggle that my opinion is very different to yours on Jack Vale who I have rate and think he is will be good player for Rovers. I would say JDT knows alot of players and whether they are quality or not given his playing career where he played for some great clubs and with some great players. My view on Vale is very well documented on here. -
World Cup 2022
chaddyrovers replied to Nuttall is lost's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yes the opening ceremony is on at 3pm. No I wasn't surprised we made the finals of the Euro. Cos, we believed in our country, players and Southgate to bring the world cup home. I think we are one of 6 teams who I think can win it yet none of them have our quality players like Kane, Foden, Sterling, Bellingham, Tripper I agreed that USA have some very good players like Aaronsson, Adams, McKennie, Pulisic and Robinson Yet Conte has seen Dier as key player in their defence and played in most games. I would still start with Ben White and John Stones but Dier would come into the team if we play back 3. -

The players have to take some responsibly for the decisions to play out from the back cos sometimes yesterday Kaminski didn't, so maybe the questions that need to be asked to the players is why the players decided to play out when they did. That will be done today by JDT and the players in a team meeting over the game. It's still a foul for me whether the ball is in the net or not. It was clearly push that didn't need to happen. What did Buckley actually do yesterday? I'm a big fan of his but he hasn't been good enough this season. I made a number of points yesterday as to where I said I thought JDT went wrong whether it formation selected or team selection. I have replied to your points in JDT, and I even agree with you on some points. I think your attitude towards young players in general the same apart from Adam Wharton. Adam Wharton has been decent/good in some games but also poor in some like Stoke. Garrett was very good against Sunderland for example which you didn't agree with. -

wasn't Adam Wharton injured? Dack can't play in centre midfield. Who else would you have brought on in place of Gallagher then? I agreed on the Brittain, Hedges, Scott Wharton points. -

well, if JDT and Rovers didn't rate him then they would haven't given him a new contract, would they? -

Yes I thought they would be chance of relegation given a number of problems there in terms of ownership, financial problems and massive change over in staff and players. Similar to Sunderland 5 years ago. Miller, I not a big record fan of these sort of things to be honest. I did outlined yesterday where I felt that JDT did go wrong yesterday in terms of team selection and formation wise I do remember Aaron Mokenna and he was decent enough defensive midfielder. -

Cos, I look the entire situation and not to just isolated to one specific game and the entire 21 games block which has us 3rd in the league, and great position to kick on to get promotion. JDT will get the players on the training field and working on them, improving the players understand what he wants and how he wants to play even more. The ref was weak for a ref of PL standards and what a big job Howard Webb has got to improve the standards and quality of them. I have said it is disappointed to see that performance, but it is one game and shouldn't overruled what has been a very good season so far in terms of performance. Garrett is up to it and was our best midfielder out of the 4 that played yesterday. I will say I am not surprised by your comment on him or any young player we play cos it always the same story will you. -

One question for Tomasson
chaddyrovers replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
JDT has to authorise every transfer, him and GB works on who they want to bring in as a partnership. JDT rates Vale and that why we see a new contract for him On Hirst, yes, he has started slowly but hopefully after 5 weeks break, we can see him at his best and scoring goals here. I still think they is a player there in him good enough for this level -

My question would be, what have you learnt about the championship in your 21 games you have managed at this level? -

chaddyrovers replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Probably cos alot of Spanish teams like him as player and I guess the South America connection is always there. I said since the summer that he would move to Spain next summer unless we got promote which I think if we did he would sign a new contract here -

Garrett was better than Travis and Morton yesterday, Buckley did nothing, Dack similar. Garrett made a couple of tackles and did play a good ball to BBD in the second half. what did the rest do? nothing at all Was Adam Wharton injury? -

I agree with @rog of the rovers that we need to keep some perspective and we need to look at the season so far in a 21 games block. I think we have overachieved this season and no way did I think we would be 3rd in the league after 21 games and going into the world cup break. I think Jon Dahl Tomasson has been a breath of fresh air since his appointment, He understand the club and wants to take this club back to the PL and keep us there and not be yo-yo club like some other clubs have been. He has been very good with bringing young players through. He is clearly happy with the coaching staff he has here despite what people think on here. His and Gregg Broughton appointments is a new era for the club, and they have explained what the plan is and how they will implement the plan. I think people having a go for JDT for not understanding the importance of the game or he needs to be sack or replace is unwarranted and unnecessary in my opinion. I am not angry or mad about yesterday performance (I am disappointed but that's it). I am proud and passionate Rovers fan and I have some great memories from supporting this great club over the last 32 years and those memories will always been there and they will always outweigh days like yesterday. I would say that defensive wise in the first half we were good and limited them to 2 chances all first half. In the attacking sense we were poor apart from one moment that Brittain were he had simple ball through to Gallagher who would have been one on one with keeper, and I think he would score. Well, some people like myself haven't taken this one game in isolation but have taken the spell of 21 games together as I think we should do. Yes I know and fully aware of how important this rivalry before someone says I don't understand it. Those days have gone, and football has moved on now from these types of players. It was foul anywhere on the pitch sadly the ref bottled like a number of other decisions yesterday. -

How can anyone predict the team when we don't know the full story on injuries, players fitness and etc. JDT will watch the game again and see where he went wrong but the players also need to watch it back and work out when we need to play out from the back and not. That's player's decision. Wrong, Rovers should be praising JDT for having us 3rd in the league and ahead of where we all thought we would be. It's one game of football (yes massive game cos of the local rivalry but it's one game) and I would take promotion back to PL and losing twice to them then beating them and not promote. JDT will watch the game and see where he and the players went wrong but that's it. JDT and his staff need to get the players on the coaching field and coaching/improving their understanding or what JDT wants from the players and tactical set up. -
Maybe look at how badly they are doing under the current coach. I think you need to calm down and take a step back. JDT is winner whether its playing career or managing career.

Very disappointing to lose today but we just didn't well enough on the pitch. I don't think JDT picked the right formation today. We didn't get in Burnley players. Playing out from the back today cost is massively, and it was suicidal at times. Mola was awful second half. First half we sat deep and kept the shape well and limited them to 2 chances late in the half. We didn't created anything and if Brittian had played a better ball to Gallagher and I think we would have took the lead. Second half we had a 5 minutes spell at the start of the second half were we look threaten but after Gallagher went off we didn't off note. I felt that the Barnes first goal should have ruled a foul after he pushed Kaminski into the net. Second half we weren't good enough to get anything from that goal. I also felt that the ref was weak and didn't stamp his authority on the game were players got away with fouls that should have been yellow cards. We need to look at the overall season and we are 3rd after 21 league games which is above most people expectations for the season and deffo above my expectations. Hopefully in the 5 weeks break we can get some good training in and JDT can work with these players and improve them and they can get to understand him more what he wants from them tactical and performance wise, then we can get a playoff place at least from this season. I think the 5 at the back stop us being any sort of attacking force and I think we should have lined 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation as this would have given us a better platform to have an impact on the game I don't think its need to be factor at all, if you are good enough then you are old enough. Garrett was decent enough along with any other players who got 5's but no-one should out today for us. Lots of 3's, 4's and 5's for BRFCS ratings. -

We have matched up with their midfield 3 and allow Hedges, Gallagher and BBD to play in their positions -

Maybe it's his tackling why he been picked today Obviously more goes into it but age shouldn't be factor when picking a team but it's what you bring to the team and how we want to play -

I think its will be 4-3-3 formation with Mola at left back with Hedges on the right side attacking side, Gallagher as number 9 and BBD on the left side -
