  1. Yes Matty, you are correct on this point. I mistype the word I meant. Rovers aren't demanding promotion this season from JDT which is right given the amount of changes going on at the club. Its a project and we are only 4 months into this but we are within the top 6 now and I think we have a good chance of top 6 this season. Keeping BBD for the rest of the season, keeping key players fit and improve our consist will decide whether we get top 6 this season
  2. Rovers have said he us under pressure to delivered promotion this season. Reported by Sky Sports several times during games
  3. Like I posted to you on the 20th June when we were talking about Vale. I said this. Not writing him off at all. " His movement, ability to finish, running in behind defence are the things I think are his strengths. " its another question that has been asked before and reply. JDT and GB pick him has his first choice striker. JDT knows about strikers. cos I don't worry like you do. Its will take time but I'm sure we will get there. No didn't concern at all cos JDT explained the situation around Hirst not playing in those games.
  4. LT reported the story in May. Hardly gossip was it. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20173107.blackburn-rovers-must-avoid-adam-armstrong-repeat/ He could have signed Liam Delap on loan but didn't.
  5. Kaminski Brittain Hyam(C) Wharton Pickering Morton Wharton Hedges Szmodics Brereton Diaz Gallagher
  6. Mowbray had more money to spend what he did in the end so maybe it's time you blame Mowbray not the owners. Mowbray was very good at spinning it last January that we had no money. You see a number of posters who have posted that we had a bigger January budget that Mowbray was saying like our bid for Ryan Longman that was around 700k That would be from next season wouldn't it not this one? On signings, I would just add one or 2 players. a backup right back unless we bring back James Brown in January and cancel his loan spell at Stockport. Then a left side attacker player who can back up BBD for rest of the season and then replace him in the summer.
  7. Cardiff to Blackburn is about 3 and half to 4 hours drive so they wouldn't really need to set off till 7am. The roads would be quiet. On Public transport, it isn't reliable one bit and it's getting worse with train strikes, likely bad weather in the coming. Clubs should be making club transport cheaper, so fans use that form of transport instead of relying on public transport in my opinion. On the beer point, That down to personal choice.
  8. No there isn't. No I would keep here within the first team squad and learning under JDT stewardship No, I would keep him here for the season. I still think there is a player there and he had a similar spell at Portsmouth at the start then in November he scored his first goal for them, and he improved more after Christmas time and ended with 13 goals. So maybe he needs to be fully match fit first. I mentioned this last night at work that we struggled away from home midweek and as @goozburgerpost in the Jon Dahl Tomasson highlights this. It is somewhat a concern but another post from @MarkBRFCseems like we struggled midweek for long period time away from home. The Sky Commentator mentioned that they were a couple of other teams who are similar to us. Highlights how important the first goal is at this level especially away from home. JDT does has questions about how last he left it last night. I did comment on Travis playing wing back last night saying he didn't get forward and it didn't work playing him there. Also said he left his subs far too late last night. Would have like to see Pickering and Dolan on much sooner and us switch to playing 4-2-3-1 formation much sooner. So yes, some concerns but I would say that overall, it's been very good start to the season, and we are much higher in the league then I thought we would be given the number of things I have mentioned in previous posts to you on similar subject
  9. I don't do wind ups Dreams as you should really know given my long-term posting history on here Firstly, Dack and Markanday aren't strikers. Leonard isn't ready yet. I think Vale is better coming off the bench. So Yes, I would start Hirst if Gallagher were not fit enough to start. I won't write him off like many others have, and I will back the Rovers recruitment department, Gregg Broughton and Jon Dahl Tomasson.
  10. At the minute I can't do many away games for personal circumstances Matty. After next season I will be doing a lot more. I was going Wigan away but it was cancelled for obvious reasons. I will be looking to go PNE away and another away game if possible
  11. Rovers have been poor today and deserved nothing for the game. Created very little, Passing poor as I have seen first half. Not really created a clear-cut chance all night. No standout performance from any player. Subs too late for, should have been on early. Travis at right wing back didn't get forward at all. Hopefully Hedges and Gallagher is back for Huddersfield game. I would go back to playing 4-2-3-1 formation and Bring Pickering back in for Ayala, Travis for Hedges, Vale for Gallagher. So, my team would be Kaminski; Brittain, Hyam, Wharton, Pickering; Morton, Wharton; Hedges, Szmodics, BBD; Gallagher
  12. never a red card. The ref reaction cos of the Coventry players reaction.
  13. Been like this for years after years. When we played in Europe we had games at 6pm didn't we or played Sunday after Thursday night game. Or moved for TV coverage like when we played Arsenal at home or United at home. Did we complain then? no we didn't. We are doing well and, in the promotion hunt, so always likely to see kick offs changes
  14. You know that given we are hunt for promotion, so Sky was always going to want to show us at least a couple of times over the Festive period. Just like other clubs in the hunt for promotion like dingles, QPR, Sheffield United, etc. That is how Football is nowadays and with kick off times in the future are only going to worse especially if we get promotion to PL this season or next. Football being moved for TV reasons or for European games has been part of Football for years now. The PNE kick off time isn't ideal for me, but it is what it is.
  15. Not good performance so far from us. Poor in possession and Poor defending for the first goal. I would be making at least 1 sub at Half time with Pickering coming on. Move Brittain to right back. I would be tempted Even bring Dolan on aswell and going 4-2-3-1 in the second half. Time, we came back from this and get at least a point there.
  16. Firstly, don't use public transport. It's about 2 and half drive to Sunderland if my memory serves me and its one, I would be doing if personal circumstances allow that day. Instead, I will be watching on TV. I'm sure Cardiff City will be putting their own coaches on and Yes It an early kick off but all part of football these days and you know over Christmas that Sky will be showing plenty of EFL football. Plus since we are challenging for Promotion, Sky will want to put us on TV. QPR, Sheffield United, Norwich, Burnley have had they gone moved over Christmas. EFL Official Website - Domestic
  17. Hyam would a great challenge there otherwise O'Hara would probably score
  18. Our passing is very sloppy, and we can't keep the ball. We can't control the centre midfield area. The Pitch is awful btw.
