  1. exactly Rovers were right to pull the plug on the contract offer. Nyambe and his agent played us like fools. If we want a permanent centre back signing I would go for Luton centre defender Tom Lockyer. He 27 years old, championship experience(91 games at this level), 14 caps for Wales, play in back 4 or back 3 and was in good form last season during rise to the Playoffs last season
  2. wrong again Matty, but as you do you don't follow what I have said for nearly 12 months about the situation. Before last season they finished 2nd and were on the up somewhat but then last season they exploded badly and gone back massively. I will say again Signing Ronaldo was the last thing they needed. OLS didn't want him IMO and that upset the entire squad and everything. Yes they were massive problems over the years since Sir Alex Ferguson in terms of proper recruitment and transfer strategy, signing the wrong players, youth development, etc. The lack of proper transfer plan is more evidence to see this summer despite a new manager being appointed and Director of Football John Murtough who has been in place for nearly 18 months. Now questions are starting to happen about how he is performing in that role.
  3. 2 parts of the pitch have stitched up and the entire pitch was dug in and re-laid.
  4. I understand your point but the owners do appoint the CEO and they appointed Woodward as David Gill successor and he overseen this pathetic spell since Ferguson and Gill left. When they were replacement Woodward why didn't they look out side the club and appoint someone like Ajax CEO Van Der Sar. But they are massive problems within the transfer and recruitment department, the youth set up there, etc. Its a totally mess there. No easy or quick fix there
  5. Liverpool hopeful Sepp van den Berg set for Blackburn loan transfer but Rovers face hefty fines if he doesn’t play Liverpool hopeful Sepp van den Berg set for Blackburn loan transfer but Rovers face hefty fines if he doesn't play | The Sun if JDT thinks he will be key player for his team and wants him then lets back his judgement
  6. still stuck in this old age mentality about these clubs. Both of these clubs deserved to be in PL and whether you like it or not.
  7. Ok thanks for updates guys. how close do you live to Ewood Park guys Winning games, playing good football and new head coach who speaks positive and upbeat about Rovers
  8. and that his fault and his agent! no one else Nyambe is decent player but we need much better if he want Promotion. Plus factoring the contract situation I am pleased he has gone. Well Paul, I have been suggesting Callum Brittain coming here as right back for a number of months and in number of posts on here cos it was clearly we didn't have a good enough Right back in attacking areas and defensively. I was very happy we signed him. very good player Rankin Costello shown it a couple of games 2 years ago like Wycombe at home and Derby away in 2020/21 season but he is too injury prone and why I would loan him out whilst keeping James Brown around the team. He was man of the match yesterday for Stockport Spot on Summary on him
  9. I have read that we sold closed to 11.5k tickets for this game so expecting around 12.5 k Rovers fans on today. Just been on United Utilities website and there is 2 problems in the area. One problem has been sorted and the other one reported last night is being investigated right now United Utilities - Up my street
  10. That why you get to look outside 5 miles of your home for work. I have done it several times including travelling to Haydock cos the money was very good.
  11. What a mess United are in. I bet Ten Hag wish he had never took that job on. You can blame him for small part of the mess but the people who fault it is at the club is owners, boardroom and the people responsible for the signings, scouting and recruitment cos over the last 10 years its been pathetic overall apart from a couple of season under OLS there. So this April they appoint Ten Hag on the back on several interviews and recommends from Rangrick, Murtough(director of football there and Arnold (CEO there), but they appears to have no proper overall footballing recruitment in place. Ten Hag seems not to trust them and wants to sign players he knows from either working with them or playing against them in Holland. Its a right mess. They should have target Tielemans from Leicester, Rice at West Ham or Philips from Leeds before he went to Man City, Tomori from AC Milan, Frimpong from Leverkusen, Werner at Chelsea before he moved to Leipzig, David at Lille. 6 signings who would have improved that squad massively and instead its still the totally and utter shambles still. A couple of United supporting work colleagues are fuming after that game and I imagine they still be come Monday night at Work.
  12. I know its your opinion. Yes the Championship can be like that granted but given that WBA will play Robinson up front and Grant is injured and Davis decided to join Watford not them. Also don't rate Bruce either as manager
  13. I would say BBD vs Furlong is a crucial area but we got to play on the front foot and play our game with the ball I don't get or understand this sort of mentality tbh. Haven't won their first 2 league games and lack of strikers they have. We have won our 2 league games and played well in both.
  14. I meant their left to Right
  15. Front Row left to Right Peter Beardsley Everton, Gordon Strachan Leeds, don't know, Andy Sinton QPR, John Salako Palace, Andy Ritcher Oldham, don't know. Middle Only Hans Sagers Top row left to Right Tim sherwood Rovers, Tim Flowers Saints, John Wark Ipswich, Mark Wright Liverpool, Vinnie Jones Chelsea, don't know, Lee Sharpe Man Utd, David Hirst Sheffield Wednesday
  16. They lack a quality striker/forward who will score goals for them. Barnes and Rodriguez won't score 10 between them
  17. I agree and the way he speaks about football, Rovers and the players. I wonder if that was after Gregg Broughton approach him or was it Suhail who approach him?
  18. Muric was the keeper he wanted all season so he can't complain about it
  19. thanks for the links guys. Another great interview from JDT and very impressive comments from him
  20. Still a good team at this level and I know Dennis is going Forest but still have 2 quality forwards in Sarr and Pedro. Plus Watford bought a striker Bayo from Belgium for 5 million pounds so they were planning for Dennis to leave surely Poor game so far.
  21. we need another 2 signings after hopefully Van Der Berg loan deal is done. Only way that players like Carter, Morton and Markanday will get proven is by playing and developing here. I also think Pears is fine as number 2 keeper and he had some good games last season then one shocking game against Wigan. I still get why you saying that Brereton departure is likely either
  22. I would start 4-2-3-1 formation cos that the formation that suits the squad and the players we have at the club. Van Der Berg can play centre back in back 4, right centre back in back 3 and right back so we will have a very versatile defender signing You keep assuming he will leave and you ignore the possible that he might actually to stay here long term and sign a new contract here. No club has put a bid in that we is acceptable and I don't see any PL club at the minute likely to with a number of teams looking overseas for strikers. That was nearly 3 years ago. Kaminski, Travis, Buckley, BBD based on the performances over the last 12 months.
  23. I don't see how he fits into how JDT wants the front 4 to play Nixon saying it should be done early next week now The contract offer is still on the table and down to the player and reps to sign the deal from what we read
  24. Will be tough game but it is one that we can win and I'm sure JDT will have the players ready for the with a clear game plan and tactical approach that has been work on all week, Interesting that WBA have missed out on signing Villa Striker Davis on loan so that is a massive bonus for us. I would start the same team that played at Swansea and I see no reason to change that team after such a good away win. Mike, It takes about a minute to 2 minutes to understand what he has change and what he wants. More important the players clearly understand it and its like its been discuss and work on by JDT on the training pitch and in Video analysis room
