  1. Didn't Rovers start the work on the pitch after this event and want the pitch to be good condition for the 1st home game. I know Rovers are having open training day on it Monday 25th July I would never suggest that
  2. Yes I remember that interview and its was basically calling out people. and the transfer window isn't close yet. We need 5 or 6 signings but we need to make sure these are the right signings and we get the players we want no surprised he going there now.
  3. that was 2 months ago wasn't it? the recent event which the pitch was going for was moved at the last minute
  4. I don't know what JDT would have wanted myself. We see next summer having mats and prams on the pitch?
  5. I think Its was about 16 months ago when Mowbray press conference post Reading game was very strange and hinting that he was going to be replace by a change of manager with a different style. Then several different posters on here were hearing reports/rumours that Mowbray would be replace
  6. when did Waggott backstabbed Mowbray? Didn't the Armstrong money go to meet last season debt? Not sure if he messed up the recruitment of our head coach? Rothwell was always leaving IMO. Not a fan of Nyambe and given he hasn't got a club yet would suggest maybe he not has good as you think he is. Lenihan, disappointed he didn't sign again but good luck to him there
  7. Its does work well at number of clubs whether its Liverpool, Huddersfield or Norwich of 3 examples of this structure working. Well if that's your worry fine but I don't have that worry.
  8. I think the 2 training camps away have been good for JDT and he has got to know the squad very quickly and what under 21's options there is at the club. Yes he a couple of home games might have been good. But When the world cup meaning a shorter summer break and winter break means less pre season time. Plus the pitch needing work doing it.
  9. Gregg Broughton shouldn't need to give an update or interview at this stage of the transfer window/stage of the window. His focus should be signings players, appointing staff to the recruitment and medical teams at the club. No my comments was right and not patronising in any way, but people need to understand how the Director of football/head coach structure and actually give it time to work and develop here. People shouldn't be looking for weekly transfer update from Gregg Broughton. Just let them get on with the job and judge after the transfer window ends. Exactly. Gregg Broughton appointed Jon Dahl Tomasson. So far I think its been a good appointment. Just need some quality signings now. Well didn't Waggott update us on Nyambe?
  10. blimey I tweet Sharpe once about Gus Williams coming in and Nicko once asking if Rovers might be interest in Rhys Williams on loan. That it for over a week. What I want is to make the right signings when we make them I don't understand how things then why do you explain it all then? You clearly don't understand how the Director of Football/head coach structure works. Its works in English football.
  11. Can I ask why you think this please?
  12. Fans shouldn't be asking to hear from DoF Gregg Broughton. Lets him get on with the job he has to do. Interviews should happen after the transfer window ends same here as I worked for a very good worldwide company and I am in position where I don't need to work overtime. Family, etc comes first
  13. You are busy man you Mercer. I won't do over 40 hours a week. My boss doesn't even asked me about overtime anymore.
  14. Gregg Broughton shouldn't be doing media interviews at all. He has a job to do so lets him get on with it and judge and do interviews after the window closes. Fans shouldn't need a weekly or daily updates from Gregg Broughton. Maybe look at JDT's comments at his first press conference with the media. He was quite clear with that he has the final say. You clearly don't understand how a Director of football/head coach works. JDT job is to coach the players whilst leaving GB and the recruitment to bring in players and scout them. Maybe do some research into how this structure works which is new to Rovers fans
  15. Well I think we can get a deal for Cantwell on a loan agreement towards the end of the transfer window.
  16. I asked Rich Sharpe about the Gus Williams coming in as head of recruitment. He reply saying he spotted someone who look like him at the Dundee game. So maybe he has join already but we haven't announce it yet. Rovers need to bring 5 or 6 quality signings. This is who I would be looking at right back - Nathan Byrne from Derby on a free transfer or Callum Brittain from Barnsley 1.5 million pounds centre back - Tom Lockyer from Luton. 2.5 million centre midfielder - Cameron Brannagan from Oxford. 1 million or Cullum Styles from Barnsley. 2 million left winger - Todd Cantwell on season long loan Striker - Ryan Hardie from Playmouth. 400k
  17. JDT is the head coach not the manager. He has the final say on whether a player comes in or not. Its Gregg Broughton and recruitment team to scout, negotiation and sign the players Gregg Broughton shouldn't be doing interviews with the media right now. His focus should be bringing new players and new staff. far too many people want communicate from him right now.
  18. been linked with 2 French clubs Good. Its means nothing is leaking and I prefer that leaks weren't happening far too many injuries No we don't need to hear from Gregg Broughton at this stage. After the transfer window is the right time for that, he needs to carry on doing the job he is doing like bringing in a new head of recruitment which looks Gus Williams plus bringing 5 or 6 quality signings. bit creepy? what are you going on about?
  19. Highlights of the game for people who didn't see the game like myself. 2 good goals scored. Seems like a good performance overall. Vale and Buckley best players according to the ratings in the Lancs Live article. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=Tt96HvGu5Og&feature=emb_logo https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=95&v=OZ-99JaRBrg&feature=emb_logo
  20. I thought Matt Parkinson both very well in both games. He is class bowler. Very disappointed by losing the final but lets true be know we should have walk that total after being 1 down after 7 overs. Tim David was disappointment batting wise. I just think we miss having a quality batsman at 5 or 6. Maybe Something we look at.
  21. I have said he is a squad player for the coming season with an experience right back like Callum Brittain or Nathan Byrne being first choice. Cost has nothing to do with my opinion but wanting to keep bringing through our good young quality players into the first team. So what have you done about it apart from ranting on here or on other social media platform but what have you done to tell the club you support? have you email the clubs with your concerns or feelings? True support of the club? How do I sit in silence or blind support when I have a problem, concern or want an answer to question I actually contact the club about it and receive a response?
  22. I've been saying that Jack Vale and James Brown should be part of the first team squad since the start of May, Garrett within the month of May and Ash Phillips in Early June if I can remember correctly. If I didn't want to it happen and really believe in it then I wouldn't have posted it on here would I! Rovers don't need 10 signings. We need around 5 or 6 signings IMO. I cannot be any more clear than that Of course I will always my club. If I think Rovers have done something well I will praise them and if I think they have something wrong, etc then I will criticise the club. I will email the club and voice my opinions. You criticised the club alot over different issues
  23. Yes I do and I think that should be aim but he has 3 years contract so lets give him that opportunity. Yes you are talking down based on nothing since you don't go and watch any games like others do. Travis got his chances down to injuries if I remember correctly in the championship tho he broke through in the second half of the league 1 season but after his sent off against Portsmouth away on the 13th February, Mowbray didn't pick him again that season You just don't get tbh and you are just over complicating it to be honest. Anyway, I am given up trying to explained it to you and others with similar opinion. I stand by my opinion that all 4 are ready to be part of the Rovers squad for the coming season.
  24. Steven Croft and Matty Parkinson will be the heroes tomorrow
