JDT and GB was very clearly they wouldn't be signing anyone until after Portugal training camp when they come assess the playing squad and the good young players at the club so see if they should be part of the first team squad this season. So I don't know why anyone expect signings before this week

I work with people who supports different teams apart from my own including Manchester United, Aston Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, PNE, Burnley, Leeds, Liverpool, Blackpool. So you get some very good conversations and discussions about football. Well it's their club they supports and if they feel Ten Hag is the right appointment then so be it cos I can't get an opinion on him as I follow or watch European football or UEFA competitions like yourself as I have zero interest in it.

Cameron Brannagan, Jason Knight, Max Bird, Louis Sibley, Callum Brittain and Callum Styles all still in league and are quality players who would add to quality to most Championship teams

Rovers recruitment team will have presented Gregg Broughton and Jon Dahl Tomasson with list of different options and JDT mention in an interview when he was unveiled that they had already meetings about recruitments.

I'm saddened by this news as I was only talking to him on LinkedIn about his new role at Rovers and what the role was about, etc. My thoughts and feelings are with his partner, family and friends.

Its long season and you need squad in depth. Its not just about the first 11 but having a squad. I don't know how Ten Hag plays or formation(as I have said I don't follow or watch any European leagues football or UEFA competitions football) but my 2 United fans work friends were very happy with his appointment.

I agree with that and playing under Jesse Marsch would suit his game. Sheffield United can offer better wages and have bigger turnover than us. We don't need some grafters from the lower leagues. What we need is quality players that fit JDT style and formation. We will make some good signings I am sure we will make them. There is some quality players in the leagues but we should be looking into the overseas players market whilst looking for the odd free transfer/ player from a PL club

Bamford be get injured this season. who knows well Forest could have a sell on clause so that could half of what we get for Ben Brereton. It would be sensible investment in the squad and the other half goes against the losses for the season.

I don't think anyone has said the wage bill has been reduced in the past 12 months but we got rid of a number of high wage earner who deserved to go and we went with younger squad which would natural be on lower wages. I said we need 6 signings which I would be looking on making 4 permanent signings and made 2 loan signings this summer. Sensible and logic approach whilst given James Brown, Ash Phillips, Jake Garrett and Jack Vale the opportunity to be in the first team squad this season

No cos they sold Aaron Ramsdale to Arsenal for around 25 millions plus only sign players on loan or free. Plus the PL parachute payments help aswell The wage bill has decrease over the 12 months cos we move on a number of high earners and seen them replacing young players on lower wages. I think we will spend around 5 to 6 million but sell Ben Brereton for around 15 million plus adds on. I think Leeds will come in for Ben Brereton shortly. Given they need a striker/forward or 2. They have plenty of money to spend now

So far, I am happy with JDT's appointment and what he has done so far. His comments have been positive and breath of fresh air about Mowbray tenure here.
