  1. Championship playoff final tomorrow between Huddersfield and Forest. I think Huddersfield might just surprise a few tomorrow and win.
  2. It shouldn't matter if the new head coach want to bring his own couple of staff with him like number 2 or goalkeeper coach. Most candidates will want this and should be allow this. Carlos Carvalhal, Daniel Farke and possible Nuno Espirto Santo should be the favourites for the head coach job if you want a head coach with championship experience. If you want an up and coming British head coach who has background in youth development then Liam Manning and Neil Critchley would be the obvious 2 to look at. Carvalhal is the one I think we should target over Farke and Nuno. I think he would be the perfect fit for our club cos if his knowledge of championship, bringing through youth at Braga and plays a style and formation that would suit our squad overall. I think we will make the head coach appointment in the next week and I hopefully by Wednesday. I would suggested it because their owner Paul Hornby want to move to Sporting Director and head coach structure. They appointed Peter Wild as head coach and Sporting Director Iain Wood
  3. Looking very forward to the Monaco Grand Prix. Qualifying and the race should be a great watch. Monaco is my favourite circuit on the GP calender
  4. It was a very good game. The fans were the winners tonight. Show there is some good cricketers in the county championship
  5. Blackburn Rovers latest on Carlos Carvalhal and coaching staff talks https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/20172601.blackburn-rovers-latest-carlos-carvalhal-coaching-staff-talks/
  6. We have to see at the start of the season and now is not the time to judge. Norwich squad is more than decent for championship and its will be interesting to see what changes Dean Smith makes there. On Burnley, Alot will depends on what their next manager will do, budget there, how many players renew their contracts and what signings they make, etc
  7. That was last season but who knows what this season will be quality wise. Some clubs will have bigger budgets if key player are sold, 4 or 5 new managers at this levels, etc. On Bruce, I meant will he go 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 next season and will he have sell certain players to balance the books
  8. Here are 9 videos from coaches voice with Carlos Carvahal talking football, tactics, coaches, etc carlos carvalhal coaches voice - YouTube
  9. Good signing by them overall but they will need a few good signings to make them good enough to promotion challenges. It will interesting to see how Bruce sets them up formation and tactically.
  10. I don't feel he will ever be top manager like Klopp or Pep but will be good PL manager. Villa have been quick in the transfer market and got 3 signings in already. If Spurs make the right signings this summer and back Conte then I feel they will be genuine title contender. Think Chelsea will need to make certain signings but don't know what they will spend or if they will big enough to be title challenge.
  11. Lancashire have struggled after the first 6 overs. Thought we might be on for 180 plus after the powerplay overs. Now I would be happy with 160.
  12. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/more-sports/cricket-former-coach-langer-slams-cricket-australia-politics/ar-AAXLAXZ?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=574868faa5084901a048289f92f9f6a4 very interesting comments about Cricket Australia
  13. Injuries happened and that's why we have a squad of players. For me, Mowbray cost us our chance of promotion and was rightly let go without a contract offer to him
  14. Carvalhal did achieve two top 6 finish and playoff place in his first 2 season there as head coach. Whilst Mowbray had 4 years to get that and couldn't. He couldn't even achieved a top 6 finish even when we were 2nd on the 8th February. His stubborn and unwillingness to adapt and change his tactical approach cost us the last 3 months of the season and ultimately cost us our playoff place and promotion
  15. Looking forward to The Roses 20twenty game tonight. Here is England test head coach first interview. Speaks sense and is very calm https://youtu.be/GZJ6y60NZqU
  16. Thanks for the update. How many staff does Carlos Carvalhal want to bring with him? I wonder if this other coach is Former Wolves and Spurs head coach Nuno Espirito Santo. Has Championship experience and promotion from this league I think they should extend the deadline until end of June I agree that any new manager should be allow to bring in his own number 2, goalkeeper coach and fitness coach. Then Johnson remains in his current role as first team coach.
  17. Well they should know that type of post would have been in proper thread or a new thread not in the academy/under 23 thread, Not really cos it's not in the right thread for next head coach appointment is it?
  18. I will always keep believing and keep positive about Rovers. For example, Just like I was confident we would bounce back form league 1 at the first attempt even if a slightly poor start. I was confident we would finish top 6 after January but we didn't. For me, Mowbray was mainly to blame for that. That doesn't dealt my confidence one bit cos the next head coach appointment should be aiming to get us promote within 2 seasons.
  19. If we want promotion then you need to appoint Carlos Carvalhal or Daniel Farke I am positive person by nature and I always look at things with the glass being half full not half empty. I would say that attitude over the past 20 years have served me very well. I noticed that this morning.
  20. You seem posts on here from certain posters plus Nixon has said he has been interviewed? reports from who? Negative thinking
  21. Blimey, of those years we had the same manager for five and half years. I'm just positive of the possible appointment of Carvalhal. Its would be sign of intent if we got him in
