Mowbrays Successor
chaddyrovers replied to Darwen Rover 007's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Here a better question is Carrick with HSH Sports agency? But the question does Carrick want to be manager? Lack of ambition? 😂 Danny Cowley would be one of first choice..he is young manager but has been successful in career at Lincoln and kept Huddersfield up in the championship with a poor squad there. He would a very good choice for our club I have great pride in my club and always have even through the Kean days I never let him take away my pride or belief in my club. -

Has Henry gone to Bournemouth yet? Gerrard wasn't on the 1st team staff at Liverpool when he moved to Rangers. Lampard was recommend to Derby by Harry Redknapp and he accepted the job after talks there. Redknapp also recommend Lampard to Ipswich before Hurst was appointed there but he rejected it due to funding. In my opinion, Michael Carrick is a very unrealistic suggestion. We can't match his wages he is on there and why leave Man Utd 1st team coaching staff to come here. I came up with 5 realistic suggestions for the manager job when Mowbray leaves. But the all likebood is we will chosen someone from HSH Sports agency. anyone from that list take your choice? -

Harwood-Bellis played the right centre back role in back 3 for much of the game with Lenihan and Branthwaite with Bennett as right wing back and Douglas as left wing back. Harwood-Bellis move to right back when Dolan came on Bennett and we went 4-4-2 I don't see the problem in changing formation last formation in a bid to change our bad run around. Plus getting Gallagher up front in a front 2 was good to see and him playing with Armstrong something I would keep against Forest. And how do you know we did it to suit Pep and Ancelotti? Inside info? For me, Bennett did ok in that role so say it was his first start since his injury in which games has he played wing back role and what was the results in those games? well we did change shape when Dolan can on for Bennett we went flat back 4 and Dolan and Rothwell wide. With Evans and Elliott in the middle with 2 up front still -

Nyambe has got 3 assists this season from 24 games. thats it. Hardly a massive improve to be honest. I'm not going into this Nyambe debate again -

Wasn't Pulis linked to the Rovers job before Bowyer was appointed permanent in that summer? After reading the Sheffield Wednesday chairman's comments about Pulis plus the way he managing his teams I wouldn't be in favour of him myself. Agree on Cooper. Maybe Robins could be viable option on replacing Mowbray. `I wouldn't be surprise if Bellamy was a viable option to come here. Are they any managers that are on HSH books we don't know about? -

Firstly, Thanks for the first comment. I guess I just not comfortable with people posting football's girlfriends comments on here. But we have to agree to disagree on this if we could please We have to disagree on Gallagher. Nyambe isn't a wing back so cant play that role. Maybe could be on the bench I guess -

Well you have answered your own question with your last comment. I have no idea on who would be available or interested from the overseas manager market but alot of them are head coaches and work in a director of football/sporting director with head coach structure I have pick 5 managers who I think would be interested in the role here and we could realistic get if we arent just picking from HSH list who knows? Do you know he wouldn't be interest in role? do you or some one you know knows Rowett? Hughes stock has drop alot from his 1st time here but if he is up for the challenge and getting us back to PL days. Plus if he is going to bring Bowen in as number 2 then I think it could work out positive for us -

why would Carrick leave Man Utd to come here? plus his wages at Utd would be way above what we pay our managers in my opinion -
My point was if the owners are happy with mid table championship team and willing to keep backing Rovers financially each year then thats they own choice.

I will always want Mowbray as long as he is manager here and Rovers to win games. I could never post that I hope my team losing to get rid of Mowbray. Thats arent in my mindset or beliefs. Is Mowbray the right man to get us promote and Premier League? No he isn't sadly and that is posted with a very heavy heart. is Mowbray the right man to keep us up and in mid table? Yes he is. I wish he come take us to the Premier League but I just think he can't despite his best efforts.

Thankyou for the reply. Why won't they listen to Waggott or Slivester who employed by the club? -

How do Venkys decide when to change manager and who will be advising them on this? I have always said that Waggott had no power in sacking Mowbray or any other manager. -

I take no pleasure or happiness from writing this us forward but we need a change of manager with fresh ideas to take over if we are going to get promotion from this league. Mowbray is honest, trustworthy and very decent person who has tried his best for this great club of ours. I am grateful and thankful of the job Mowbray has done since taking over as manager and for the last 4 years at the club. He has rebuilt a club and fanbase that was broken into pieces when he joined. He got us promotion from league 1 at the 1st attempt when other clubs like Leeds and Sheffield United struggle to get out at the 1st attempt. But after 2 years of building a squad that this year would challenge and get top 6 we have fallen short. He has bought us some good memories and those I won't forget. I feel any comparison to Kean and Coyle from any poster are embarrassing and quite frankly laughable when you think what they did. I wont keep bashing him every day or every opportunity as I think it is inappropriate to do so after the job Mowbray has done the club, fans and people of of the club. He deserved more respect from all of us in my opinion. The owners and CEO have a decision to make and if the owners and CEO are happy with being mid table then fine but I want to get back to Premier League as soon as possible. I will discuss my thoughts on who I think should replace Mowbray as manager/head coach in the Mowbray's successor thread

I watched the game on the Sky red button last night You really prefer Kean after everything he did at the club? really? He is Rovers legend and I agree with his comments about Mowbray. I will post my views on Mowbray in the proper appropriate thread in a minute. do you think it is really appropriate to post on here what Armstrong's girlfriend/missus has said after the recent problems with footballers being abuse online? You are correct Bbrovers2288 Do you really think that sort of comment is right and correct after what Dack has done for Rovers and the fans? -

I feel so flat and annoyed that this season will not end in top 2 finish or playoff place. Yesterday performance wasn't good enough. But watching the game was dull and boring from start to finish. We didn't deserve anything from last night game. I like us playing 2 up front with Gallagher and Armstrong. Gallagher and Douglas was our best players. I did think the back 3 worked 1st half to a degree and I would like to maybe carry on playing it a couple of players changes. Armstrong took his goal well and Elliott's through ball was good. But the 2 goals were poor defending from not closing down or put a tackling in. -

Gallagher and Douglas played well.. I think 3-5-2 looks decent and 2 up front is a threat. No point through midfield when the pitch is awful and weather awful -
