Good win today. Pleased Armstrong back to scoring. Took it well. Dack's goal well taken. Travis is back and how we do need him to be. Delighted he is back Delighted that We kept a clean with Douglas and Johnson playing out of position. Davenport was good on his debut. Good start 2021. Let keep it going. -

The agency thing has happen with the last 4 managers so why would Venkys not used them again?. Well after Kean and Coyle fiascos I rather stick with Mowbray who I trust and has done a good job so far. I like him and he should given the season. If top 6 isnt achieve then we do a review and see where we go there. If you give me a guarantee that Rovers(venkys) would go through a proper recruitment process to recruit our new manager then fair enough. But has we have seen with past recruitment process of Kean, Berg, Appleton, Lambert and Coyle anything is possible with our owners. It's a massive issue and one that's cannot be ignored. Berg was appointed cos it's the only names the 3(Shebby, Shaw and Agnew) of them could agree on. Appleton's appointment came left field. Lambert and Coyle appointments came through our agency friends Mowbray was appointed. Paul Senior told me via Email he pick him to become manager here. But he is another client of the agency. -

The last 4 managers have all come from the same agency and no reason to think they would not used the same agency again. -

1. Yes. 2. No. Cos looking at the list of potential managers from that agency only 2 I would take from it. We could end up with another Coyle situation and I wouldnt want that 2 questions for yourself 1. What your opinion on that agency list of managers where our last 4 managers have come from? Any you would have here 2. What did your think of my opinions on those managers mentioned and the people I would potentially interview? Same reasons I posted last week. Happy New Year -

I would drop Elliott and play Dolan on the right side. Armstrong up front and Brereton left side in front 3 Downing in midfield with Rothwell and Davenport for me in midfield. Defence depends on who is fit. Kaminski in goal -

Thanks for the question. Pulis would be deffo no for me. His style of play and after I read what the Sheffield Wednesday Owner has even put more off him. Deffo avoid. Hughes, Does he wants to get back in management and does he have the passion for the game again. His failures since leaving here also makes me question whether he would be the right man. Cook would be massive no for me. Not the right fit for Rovers and ex dingle. Calvalhal impressed me at Sheffield Wednesday there. But Swansea spell didn't go well. Plus managing Braga now. So unlikely to leave there now. Could be on my shortlist. Wagner did well at Huddersfield and got them promoted. Lost his way during his second season in PL there. Things didn't go well for him during his spell in Germany. Unsure on Poyet, Sousa, Petrescu, Oscar Garcia recent careers and haven't look into them at all. Alex Neil. Not sure he would be right option for me for us and our squad. Rowett. Very impressed with the job at Birmingham and done very decent at Millwall. Concerned by his spells at Stoke and Derby. Could be option and someone I would want to interview Cowley, I would be interesting in. Did very well at Lincoln and I think he did well keeping Huddersfield up last season. He would be on my shortlist to interview. Ainsworth would be on my shortlist. Done an excellent job at Wycombe there. Given that our last 4 managers have come from the same agency then Mark Robins would be option and on my shortlist to interview. Steve Cooper is from the same agency but unlikely to come here given Swansea being second in the league. Yes I am -

@Miller11did a post a few weeks/months of potential shortlist of the agency we have used for the 4 managers appointments. These are managers currently with HSH... Steve Cooper Mark Robins Craig Bellamy Gary Holt Tony Pulis Graham Wesley Micky Mellon Dave Challinor Dean Keats Tony Philliskirk People mention Jokanovic but he is managing in middle East on big wages. Leaving that job for here? Bilic isn't coming here unless we are pay him big money and his staff. Ain't happening. Pearson could have come after Bowyer but wasn't interested then. Is Carvalhl managing Braga in the Portuguese top league and currently 4th in league. -

Johnson and Gallagher marking for both goals is appalling..basics of football. I'm pleased the players are angry cos they should be as we should be beating teams like Huddersfield if we want top 6 -
Creating more chances by attacking teams increase your chances of winning games instead of being defensive and only created a couple of chances.
-
Sadly not Sparks. Remember it like it was yesterday

Depends on terms of contract. Who knows. -
Football in the 90's was very different time and era to now. I remember winning the league like it was yesterday and have great memories from King Kenny's reign. Plus Hughes days here as manager and our league form and our European days. Yet great memories I will never forget. Spend alot more than 199 pounds at Rovers.each and every season apart from this Coronavirus hit season

Surprise he took the job in the 1st place. Strange decision -
We won the PL 25 years ago when we were different club and very different era. Created more chances, scoring goals, we have change style that will help move forward. Plus will Dack, Brereton and Travis back into our starting 11. I was to keep this style and formation develop further going forward and next season. Defensively, Douglas has been poor and that's cost us. But last 3 games we allow 1 shot on target which the opposition scored. Kidd was poor appointment. Ince was shocking gamble and he should never been appointed in the 1st place.

Very true. Can't wait to get back and watch Rovers live inside a stadium again. Expecting next season before we are allow to return -
Sparks, what a absurd comment to make. We all want the best for our Football club but we disagree how that should be done. It's shame that you can't respect different opinions like we can with yours. Also a point which alot of Mowbray out people forget is thats its appears we only employ managers from certain agency according to @Miller11 's post a few weeks back. I think we have progressed this year and we are better team than past 2 seasons as other Rovers fans have pointed on different sites and social media which I am sure you have seen, On Cook, I dont want him anywhere near my club. If you would be happy with him replacing Mowbray then fair enough. I wont. Howe has said he will only return to management for a job that motivates him . Howe replacing Lennon at Celtic would be good route for him to return and then PL club afterwards similar to Rodgers. Howe reputation despite relegation is still high imo. says who? Very true on other social media sites having very opinion to this site. I did a poll and on a Rovers fan site on facebook where only 2 people wanted him sack and 121 people are backing Mowbray to remain as manager. and How many of us wanted Hodgson, Kidd, Souness or Ince at those times? I wanted Bowyer to be appointed after his good job in very difficult circumstances that season. He went to do a good job and rebuild the club and its repution so what. Lambert was a good appointment but IMO neither party trusted each other from the start and that why Lambert wanted a release clause in his contract.
-
Howe wont be dropping down to the Championship yet. Will get a PL or Celtic job before coming to the championship. He did an excellent job there at Bournemouth. I gave a few sensible and realistic suggestions the other week as possible replacement for Mowbray.
-
Not really bothered what you think Sparks as other people on here who I speak on different social Media know that I am backing Mowbray to continue as manager and we should review the situation in the summer. End off
-
But we aren't bottom of the league or in the bottom half the league so your point is irrelevant
-
And I've said when I think its time for Mowbray to go I will post but we arent near that time at all yet. ridiculous, Absurd and stupid comment I wouldn't want Cook anywhere near Blackburn Rovers football club and the Manager seat. Good for your Burnley supporters friends Mercer. Let him replace Dyche when he walks out on them soon. I gave a few names before as possible replacement and Cook deffo wouldn't be on that list a couple of weeks ago when people was on about sensible replacement. Dack, Armstrong, Kaminski, Smallwood, plus bring through Travis, Rankin-Costello, Buckley and then good loan signings like Reed, Antonsson. why would Howe drop to the championship level when he has been suggested for Newcastle job by their fans and Celtic? Didn't he leave Burnley who were in the championship at the time for League 1 Bournemouth for personal reasons? No Just happy with Mowbray as manager
-
No manager would have a job for life. I dont have to stipulate anything Mercer. When I think it's time for Mowbray to go I will post that. Until then he remains in charge for me and many other Rovers fans of similar opinion. Back to the pointless insults again Mercer with that sort of senseless and absurd comment. Abit like appointing a dingle like Paul Cook as Rovers manager.
