  1. no surprise with that one. Some good players out there and I would be targeting Thomas Henry to replace Armstrong. I suggested Thomas Henry months ago as a replacement for Armstrong why wouldn't you if Nyambe isn't going to signing a new long term contract then you have sell him this summer and signing someone like O'Donnell with a decent enough signing with Pike as a back up to him?
  2. Going to renew my season ticket for the 21-22 season after not renewing for the 20-21 season this evening when a couple of people I attend with are available to purchase them, Another thing I am not happy is not being to take different people to games if the person can't attend due to work or family commitments who is the main season ticket holder. But we will just have to live with it. Has anyone renew yet? is it? the current NHS app provided you with the info that you had both jabs so no need for any new app
  3. Rovers would look at Healey from Toulouse as possible replacement for Armstrong shoud he go https://twitter.com/richsharpe89/status/1406492010119372803?s=19
  4. If you want to disbelieve them that's fine but not all of us have that opinion. Depends what they are looking for in the head of recruitment position. I've been over the Ayala and Pears signings and the fact I don't believe our recruitment department recommend them a number of times now and posted it. Let's see who we sign in this transfer window.
  5. Rovers linked with Motherwell and Scotland right back Stephen O'Donnell. Championship clubs keen on Scotland full-back Stephen O'Donnell after fine display against England | Daily Mail Online Blackburn Rovers have been linked with a move for Wigan Athletic's Viv Solomon-Otabor Blackburn Rovers linked with Wigan Athletic forward as transfer search deepens - LancsLive
  6. Cos you have been told this by the manager and the club. Targets have been decided already. All because the head of recruitment leaves doesn't stop the rest of the recruitment team doing they job. Yes a head of recruitment is important when in the process of scouting, watching games, selected targets to present to the manager for decide who to go for. The manager decide who we target from the players he is present with.
  7. Not sure Jerome is thats good of a signing really. We will have our targets already sorted so the fact of no head of recruitment is less of an impact. This head of recruitment doesn't negotiate the transfer deals or deal with the contracts. But this is where a Director of Football or Sporting Director would be useful in my opinion
  8. So why mention then then in the Rovers aansfer thread?
  9. I agree. He was a good servant to the club who was great with the fanbase. But not a legend. Players like Shearer or Friedel were legends in my opinion during my lifetime of supporting Rovers
  10. I have to say that I think Rovers have made a massive mistake in not making season tickets cheaper for Adults plus for under 16's. Rovers should be trying to entice fans back now after 16 months of lockdowns and not being able to their team live inside a stadium for that period of time. Adult ST prices for the Blackburn end and the Riverside stands should have been between £230-280 per ticket holder with the Jack Walker price around £350 to 399 for example. Kids under 16 years make it pound a game. You would make that back with supporters using their spare money in the concourse food stalls or in the club shop.
  11. If you look at his Rovers team mates comments on Instagram they used the word 'Legend' in most of their posts. I think they used that cos he was great team mates, someone who wants great in the dressing room and helps his team mates to settled into the club or coming up from the academy. Think thats why they used that word.
  12. You prefer to always look for conspiracy theories all the times these days sadly instead of looking at the facts and the player situation Bennett has a wife and young children who are based in Telford so why would he want to be away from them now. He only has 3 years left in pro football so why not be closer to home. Bennett and Armstrong situations are different situations and vastly different period of the footballing careers. Plus Armstrong newly wed Wife has moved with him down here I believe in Lytham, whilst as Bennett's family didn't move here.
  13. no for me. Not a player that we need, who is interest in Kaminski?
  14. believe what? wanting to work closer to his home based? He lives in Telford JH. its a 20 minutes drive. Why would he want to be away from his wife and young children now. He clearly wants to be closer to home.
  15. Dan Pike has done a podcast with the 1875 podcast Defender Dan Pike on life at Rovers and targets for the season - Rovers Chat - The Hub of Everything Blackburn Rovers News
  16. Blackburn Rovers would consider a loan move for Liverpool midfielder Leighton Clarkson Clitheroe-born Liverpool ace on the radar of Blackburn Rovers - LancsLive The Sun reporter Phil Cadden is reporting that Rovers want Yates to replace Armstrong Blackburn want Jerry Yates transfer from Blackpool as Adam Armstrong replacement while West Ham fight for £25m striker (thesun.co.uk)
  17. Bennett sent message to the Rovers fans to the Fans
  18. Been a good player for us who has passion for the club and was brilliant to the fanbase and to the younger Rovers players. Shame to see him go but the right decision now. Was fantastic during our league 1 campaign. Some great memories Cos it is much closer to his home based and much less travelling and staying away from home for days when he played here. spend more time with his wife and children now.
  19. Maybe to foreign players but I'm unsure for English players. I wouldn't want to live there. I prefer the coast to be honest. Doesn't Armstrong live in Lytham currently? why a lazy link? we have been linked to him for the past 6 months so there is some Rovers interested in him I don't know how much Yates would cost but you would hope and I think that Rovers and Mowbray should have be planning for Armstrong exit so should have a shortlist of replacements ready. any Players signing must meet UK work permit rules. They are players out there we should be looking at overseas. We need a striker that can play the lone front role and Yates from 1 game which was the Playoffs final looks like he can do that. Roversfan99's opinion on Yates and the way he plays the role is correct from what I have watched and read.
  20. It wasn't me that said this but Rich Sharpe and the LT
  21. Is London such a big attraction these days?. Why move to another Championship club when he got the chance of PL club. Think Southampton or Brighton or Norwich would be idea club for him. On Fulham, we have no idea who the manager or whether most of the squad will be there. Already seen Cairney and Adarabioyo linked with moves away. A replacement for Armstrong is a must. Yates seems to be the one they want.
  22. People thought that of West Brom and look at their search. Let's see who they go for if Parker goes
