  1. But it isn't out of position at all. He has played the right back/wing back role quite alot for under 23's Of Course he will be around this team next season. Rankin Costello long term could be attacking right back. Mowbray doesn't play with natural wingers and hasn't since he came to the club.
  2. The Wigan Administrator Krasner acknowledge that the wage bill at the DW Stadium – comparatively low by Championship standards, but which represents a whopping 168 per cent of the turnover in the last set of published accounts – was proving a little bit of a hindrance. “A little bit? It’s £12million,” he replied. “It will be reduced to what we need to finish the season. “And it’s causing a problem for potential buyers – a big, big problem. “They’re not just buying a football club, they’re buying a loss-making football club.” https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/football/priority-get-best-price-wigan-athletic-says-optimistic-administrator-2914997
  3. well we don't but they have put over 165 million pounds so far into Venkys London Limit just from the official accounts on companies house website are they willing away from that? Bonus of knowing that you are promoted weeks ago but where are they playing their home games? Do they even have a stadium in Coventry to play in?
  4. Look good and different.
  5. I wouldn't be surprise if Rankin Costello start at right back next season. He has played the right wing back role for under 23's so he would be natural fit for that role
  6. Pay abit more? They are paying 6 million pounds a season. hardly a bit more is it? How much is Mowbray on? Also Leeds pay big wages on players.
  7. Steven Gerrard says he isn't interested in Bristol City head coach job after being linked to the job over the last few days
  8. No Davenport hasn't but show he should be around the first team squad next season. Him and Travis partnership could be good one for us. I expect Rankin Costello to be a first team regular by end of next season.
  9. If King does leave Bournemouth as reported hopefully we have a good sell on clause in there I asked a perfect and reasonable question about how much we got for Raya to Brentford. So no pedantic at all!!!!!
  10. Have we played that way since? Armstrong ripped that Sheff Wednesday defence apart. Very good to see. Do we know exactly how much we got for Raya?
  11. My apologies about the Jones's at Luton. I agree there is some good free players around the UK and Europe. That's where I am hoping our new recruitment structure comes to the front and we can sign them. There is a number of different situations regarding the budget and whether our key players have to leave or might want to leave. Or the owners might want the club to balance budget meaning that Mowbray might have to sell one player to raise funds to buy or bring players in for instant. Or if a PL club bids for one of of best player can we afford to reject or do we sell and reuse the money to buy. We know that Mowbray did tell Mani and someone else at the supporter consultation meeting that he had a couple of line up so I wonder if they are still line up.
  12. Keane last manager job was 7 years ago. So why haven't any Championship, League 1 or league 2 appoint him if he is thats good as a manager. For me, Keane isn't a manager but a bully and someone who wouldn't create any sort of team morale or spirit. Look at comments from Ireland players from his time there number 2. Neither Brereton or Gallagher play the Dack role and do what he does. Simple as. Holtby did it at Sheff Wednesday away. Armstrong and Holtby partnership worked so well that game We will how we set up when Dack return and is still here.
  13. of course it is.
  14. Just look at the Wigan owner who put the club in admin after 4 weeks.
  15. who said we didn't tho? We don't know what goes on behind the scenes do we.
  16. 60 points this season and Dack out injured since Christmas time. Yes we need a few signings but Mowbray would have knew this from last Summer in terms of 3 loan players and the 2 players of Graham and Downing. So we should know who we want to bring in depending on budget we have. No the signing of Brereton hasn't work and its disappointed. Gallagher for me, I think he had some good games but nowhere near enough and he overall disappointed. I don't like Armstrong out wide even in 4-3-3 formation. Yes in a couple of games but not enough since we return from lockdown
  17. Surely we should be using our young players more next season like Buckley, Davenport Rankin Costello, Carter. Maybe Butterworth next season. Yes sign a couple of experience players like 1st choice keeper, possible centre back partnership next to Lenihan and left back like Cunningham. I not expect is signing anyone for a fee if the budget is cut Jones at Luton? He took over during the Pandemic. Clolet decide to leave Birmingham to go home to Spain for family reasons. But making it public was the worst thing they did, resulting in poor results The club is a mess internal from what I heard one Birmingham fan. Who gets appoint permanent will be interested.
  18. well seems that its you who is championing Keane so surely you would know how he got Sunderland promote. I am not to make some claims on here that new owners would be better or worse than the current ones until its happens. I've explained my reasons yesterday for this opinion
  19. Leeds have to sell Jansson and their head coach Bielsa accept that last season. But he sign on loan Ben White. Did they? I didn't. In fact I wanted him moving from wing to playing up front cos IMO he is our best striker and we need to use his pace and movement there
  20. His last job is at Blackburn Rovers were IMO is doing well and progressing the club. He got out league 1 at the 1st attempt where other clubs like Sheff Utd spent years there to get out of that league. Would you agree that if WBA lost Pereira or Forest lost Grabban long term like we lost Dack they would be in their current league position? You are correct about Brentford model and they make it work. Have proper structures in place and if their loss head coach at the end of the season its wouldn't effect the overall structure of the club. But their model is unique to football but Their owner is very active at the club.
  21. Hopefully October. But they would be trials happening over the summer. at least its some positive
  22. Government has announced that fans will be allow back in Stadium in the Autumn. Great news for clubs
  23. But at this time we have a massive economic recession happening. The world is a very different place to 6 months ago. another Wigan could be around the corner. Who knows. I haven't said we should stick with the current owners just I would be very sceptical of any potential owners coming in, having the funding in place to run the club long term and who would they bring into the club to run it. Look how long it took last time to sell the club and we were in the Premier League, very well run club and Mark Hughes as manager. Plus before the 2008 economic recession.
