well my point was one about signings overall in the league not just Rovers related. But Its good to see Mowbray saying that club transfer targets won't be determined by the quarantine measures I think you are wrong there Rev. Mowbray knows we signings otherwise we wouldn't been trying to make signings and had players in for medicals.

Well you don't know that for the same reasons @bluebruce posted, But he would be putting pressure on him to performance and keep performing something we didn't have with Luetwiler pushing either Walton or Raya here. Do you accept this point? Surely it better playing part of the 1st team squad than at his age being number 3 or 4 keeper playing under 23's football. My Elliott question was a general question to see if anyone knew or any idea. Pears isn't just coming to sit on the bench but challenge Kaminski for that number 1 jersey in the team. Thats the difference. Look at Arsenal number 3 Matt Macey age 26 who is happy there and earning a wage at his age. He never played a game for them. Look at Martinez at Arsenal who wants to leave First team football and not happy at being a number 2. Or our number 1 Kaminski who wanted to leave his club in Belgium to come and play for us. Yes he has to perform to keep the shirt and having competition for that jersey helps increase performances IMO.

I felt we were unlucky not to get at least a point yesterday as our performance deserve. Unhappy about the 3 goals. twice not closing the shot down quickly enough and Lenihan should be showing him down the line so poor from experience player and captain. Kaminski have a good game and we look much more comfortable with him in goal and I'm sure he will get better. Think we got a bargain signing based on that game. Well done for Johnson for shoot for his goal something Rovers need to more of when the opportunity is there from 25/30 yards out. Well done to Nyambe for the assist and the good ball into the box. Armstrong put it away well also. Shame Holtby's goal didn't stand as we won the game from there IMO. I was happy with the shape and formation of the team and going forward tho you would like more shots on goal. Rothwell and Dolan had a positive impact when they came on. So many positives to take but some basic defending needed at times like closing shots down more and showing the player down the line.

Agreed with all your points made above about signing Pears. what would Elliott wages be and surely at his age he wants to play after being at Newcastle not playing for a couple of seasons? Also what was his wages at Newcastle? Pears is 3rd choice there and Warnock has said he can leave so why stay? If he is coming here, he is coming to challenge for the number 1 shirt with Kaminski I wouldn't want Cook anywhere near our great club. Can't stand him and should never be in the Rovers manager dugout ever
