  1. Good team 2-1 Rovers Armstrong double
  2. Give it a rest Bruce!!! I gave an assessment on how we could have a 4 to 5 million footballing budget.
  3. Suggest you look at these posts where I gave an assessment on why we could have a 4 to 5 million budget. Also instead of posting a selective part of the post here the full post.
  4. I would suggest you look back and quote me accurate which you havent. I gave a basic assessment and didnt say we have a 5 million budget. ? Club has said we had a wage cap in place and wont go above that.
  5. No Benrahma or Raya in the Brentford team today
  6. Well I've seen him play. No special and not someone who I think is any better than Wharton or Williams
  7. Well if Fulham was happy with us playing 60 or 70% of wages but then Bristol City came in and offered to pay in full then Fulham will cancelled our deal and push the player to go there. You speak like it's so easy to bring players. We have players in for medicals then gone elsewhere for different reasons so is that Rovers fault?
  8. He was in for medical supposedly so terms was agreed. Has FFP been scrapped so far? I think Rick Parry wants to bring in a wage cap for all Championship clubs? Are you in favour of that?
  9. Well that's why I asking you as you are the stated we shaved 100k off the wage bill? So is that fact? I know Rovers were paying 10k of Adarabioyo's wages. Well of course income streams matter. More income then more you can spend and become less reliant on owners money unless they willing to. Yes other clubs have make signings. We had Ayala in building and having a medical then he goes to Middle East. Is that Rovers fault cos he gone for there for his own reasons? We was in Mawson but we couldnt afford all of wages but Bristol City could. We was in Kipre and WBA offered him a chance of PL and he jump at it. Would you rather stick to wage structure or start over paying in wages and fees? Or over pay in terms of agents fees or transfer fees?
  10. is that fact we shaved 100k of the wage bill? Well look at the income streams of the club and the amount we spend on players' wages and fees over the last 4 years there is massive deficient there which the owners have to fill. well if we were close to signing Daniel Ayala or Kipre then wages we offered weren't the problem. PL Club signed Kipre and Ayala has gone to Middle East so will be more money than here. Have we ever enter contract talks with Sarr? is he really that good? squad player at a team who was relegation in the end
  11. I think thats is very much over the top comment thats people who don't whinge and moan on here, couldn't really care less what happens to the club. We care what happens to the club all the time. If I problem I tend to deal with the situation. Like I was unhappy about new Shirts not been on sale so I sent an email to Lynsey Talbot at the club.
  12. I can understand that. Does feel natural or normal not being to attend home or away games. It's still strange now
  13. 1-2 Rovers. Armstrong double
  14. Looks like both teams will play 3 at the back tonight. Do wonder how many teams will go 3 at the back this season?
  15. Swansea still interested in Williams. Sold Celina for 3 million so have some funds https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-city-transfer-business-still-18916419
  16. Peterborough to win league 1 Bradford to win league 2. what does other people think?
  17. first game tonight and how do people think it will turn out? Expecting a 1-1 draw Now on the season predictions for the league. I fancy Forest to win the league and have a good squad. Norwich second with their squad. Playoffs is wide open for me and 14 teams will be targeting them. I expect us to be one as long as we bring the signings in we need. I think Brentford won't make top 6 after selling Watkins and Benrahma likely to go. Bournemouth will struggle under Tindall and won't be making top 6 this season. closer to the bottom 3 than top 6. Reading, Wycombe and Barnsley to go down.
  18. challenging for playoffs as long as we the signings we need
  19. Armstrong tells us his reasons here when he signed permanent for the club.. " I enjoyed my time here last season and it was a no-brainer to come back," "It hasn't quite sunk in yet, because I've been at Newcastle all my life, but I'm sure I'll settle in quickly. "The lads have been texting me every day since I left, asking when I was coming back! It's nice to feel wanted and it's nice to feel at home, so it was a pretty easy decision." Plus having his most productive seasons under Mowbray clearly he can get the best out of him as he has done so far. Heckingbottom and Parkinson couldn't. So let's play for manager who knows me best and gets the best out of me. Why couldnt Preston afford his wages?
  20. Thanks Josh. Yes but overlooking that he had played here before, the Manager has got the best out of him twice in young career and knew most of the squad. All others factors that played a part in his decision to come here.
  21. That's must be so annoying for the club falling through after everything was almost done. But if money matters more than playing in competitive league and getting to premier league then what can the club and manager do Any news on current targets?
  22. Not at Stuart but if you look at a number of players who left us and done nothing with their careers afterwards was it worth moving on. Players David Bentley, Chris Samba, Roque Santa Cruz, Benni McCarthy, Lucas Neill in our PL days. Now championship days like Jordan Rhodes, Rudy Gestede, Ben Marshall. Some players like Duffy and Hanley have gone on and played regular PL football. .
