  1. I judge a window at the end of it. I look at Wigan Sam Tickle
  2. Yes I know that but some clubs have made no signings so far. 3 transfers already make half of the money spent in Cannon for £10m, Jones for £5m and Whittaker for £6m. We got 7 days to make a quality striker signing, left sided attacking player and left back before the deadline day. I understand and agreed that we should one attacking player signing by now but why we haven't we done know the full reasons
  3. I have no idea No excuses but exactly why the transfer window in January is rubbish for most of it. For the first 2 weeks not much happens then middle of the months things start moving eventually
  4. If we had signed Thomas-Asante when we put a bid for him then that would quality signing for me. That reported was around middle of the month. January window is always slow..every year the same. You can all the time before the window to identify targets but unless it a player a club wanted rid or you can afford to.pay the asking price(which tbf we should be able to do so with Szmodics money) then you will make quality signings towards the end of the window. Was he even a target to be fair? He might have been our target on here but was he on Rovers transfer shortlist? So maybe the owner should have stuck with Liam Rosenior instead? and they reinvest money they recieved into good players like Liam Millar
  5. the EFL says the game live on TV Homepage - The English Football League
  6. it would be great to strengthen but in the January window, early quality signings don't happen until you are willing to splash the cash or signing out of favour players at club like we did with Dion Sanderson for example or Boro selling Jones and replacing him with Whittaker who knows but do expect any club to sign 3 players before the Burnley game is very unrealistic. The January transfer window is slow as ever and you will see it pick up now in the last week just like always. Like for example if we wanted Bamford from Leeds then Leeds rightly wouldn't release him until they had a replacement in.
  7. no we haven't failed this window at all. lets await and see who we bring in. 8 days to go not for me. Yes Eustace did, but if we can't bring those experience players Eustace wanted then we can still bring in quality players.. Eustace's comments at the weekend mentioned quality players signings Lets see what we do in the transfer market and lets the next 8 days play out.
  8. You have completely misunderstood The £5m budget point was what I wanted us to spend NOT what is available. Lets wait for Tuesday 4th of February to see what we actually do. The second goal was a deflection of Batth How is that Pears's fault? isn't Pears the second best in terms of percentage of saved this season?
  9. no they haven't. Towards end of the season Sky, the clubs and EFL agreed the terms would rolling 4 week period.
  10. Just a complete and utter guess
  11. That's why you need to smart and clever in the recruitment department You are obsess with putting Hedges down at every opportunity. Scarlett wasn't unwanted by Oxford at all, but Spurs recalled him over the lack of playing time. He scored 4 goals in 20 games whilst their main 9 striker Mark Harris has 5 goals in 26 games. what do you based his other 2 loans were unsuccessful no I didn't.
  12. Not at all, we just dont agree at all We don't know why we haven't tho don't we? Settling in? Overlook the points he cant last longer 50/55 mins? Not the game changing loan signing we hope for? ?? This guy isn't a novice when he has European football this season He has 8 days left to prove you wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if Rovers sign Spurs's striker Dane Scarlett on loan. Then add Kargbo and a cheap/loan left back in
  13. He has quality but this is first loan and I don't think we should expect too much. We need a player who can used pace to get behind but also last longer than 50/55 mins Its the type of striker signing we should be making and someone who we should be signing. We need that quality striker who I would like permanent one if possible Also my point stands that we will judge Rudy on these next 8 days and the quality he brings in. some signings work out and some don't. For example take Hirst who struggled here but at Ipswich has been major part in their 2 promotions they have achieved and now playing PL football. I think we could do better but also someone who can impact games much more. We already need to understand this his first professional loan and I think expectations on him were too nigh
  14. I'm not a massive fan of ACD personally. I don't think he offers too much going forward and I would be tempted to cancelled his loan and bring in another winger instead
  15. West Brom, Norwich City and Luton Town are interested in a move for FC St. Gallen striker Willem Geubbels, so why aren't Rovers? We could a buy given what we have taken in money wise or even loan to obligation to buy in the summer. This is smart player transfer Rovers should be doing. Time for Gestede to deliver quality for Eustace, the players and the fans. You will be judge on this Rudy and the quality you bring in the finally 8 days of the window This player looks very good on this video and just what we need up front. 16. They have 7 or 8 first team regulars out so any new manager would still have to pick the same team and I would say in recent games Ange has changed style and not attacking football. Plus they are still n 3 cup competitions so their season could be successful one. I would actually back Ange and stick with him especially if he win a trophy this season for next season and bring in quality signings.
  17. Since being injured we have missed him badly and he is much better than replacement for Telalovic. well keep crossing the ball into the box for him to have shots at goal if he wasn't up to would he not been scoring goals at this level?
  18. Yes it could go either way and I think its best to judge if he signs here and his performances. You can made judgements before but based on what given where he is playing, how likely we would have seen him, etc ?
  19. Pleased for him and I hope his good form carry ons for the rest of the season and beyond
  20. I understand your points made and agree somewhat but given the budget we have(which should be much higher and spending some decent money this window(£5m). I agree our priority should be on other areas like a quality striker, left side attacking player and left back with Pickering injury As other poster said that Forshaw was good yesterday and I agree with him that some people minds were mind up on him before he put a Rovers shirt on good for the update Unleaded. You seem to rate this player and know abit him.
  21. Shouldn't we judge the player and any player how they play here? I get you 2 examples of players you probably thought were underwhelming signings when they signed in Steven Nzonzi and Chris Samba. Also haven't we scouted this player given we were linked with him in the summer.
  22. How many walk ons tickets have we sold?
  23. Would sacking him really change anything when they have massive injury crisis there and who would they target right now? Would they be better with Ryan Mason in charge as caretaker manager and then appoint a permanent manager in the summer? or judge it in the summer?
  24. why do Keepers bother with walls anymore? Surely it would be easy to just stand in the middle of the goal?
  25. no @MarkBRFCI haven't accept any sort of mediocre but understand that Travis and Tronstad are our key players and any players are going to be behind them in the pecking order. I did think Eustace would rotate more with Baker playing more but he didn't. Yes @arbitro we all want quality player signings. We haven't reinvested the money we received for Wharton and Szmodics like we should have done. The summer was the time to reinvest that money into a couple more quality signings. in this window we need a left side attacking player, striker and left back the Nixon news is Rovers still after Lewis O'Brien who Preston wanted aswell. Also Nixon in reply to my question is he our Main target has said its still live
