We know that Gestede as head of football operations so of course he would be leading the search and working with Adam Owen to bring in players even if we had a chief Scout(who wouldn't be involved transfer negotiations) Eustace wants championship experience signings but unless we spent the players on getting them and pay higher wages for players like Wallace, Bamford and Schlupp, we can't pay those wages on our budget. So we have be smarter and clever in our transfers and still bring in experience championship like we did with Hyam or Brittain or Batth or Weimann but also look for lower wage quality players like Ohashi. We don't know what going on behind the scenes but we know we haven't renew players contracts this season or even offered Eustace a new contract. We deffo should have offered Eustace a new contract plus to our best players who should be on long term contract like Brittain, Hyam, Carter, Travis, Tronstad, Pickering, Pears. I wouldn't be surprised if Eustace left in the summer if we aren't going to back in the summer.. If we sign quality striker then I think we get playoff place. We haven't reinvested in the squad..even just the Szmodics's money where you could have used that money to sign 3 or 4 quality signings that would be assets now but also for the future.. Not seen any links to players in for us. Rudy and Eustace should know their budget for the window and Rudy should be allow to authorise signings within that budget.
