Summer Transfer Window 2019
chaddyrovers replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
offer Samuel to Charlton on a free or a loan. Leeds fans are annoyed with them selling their best players yet again and loaning players in to replace them -
Rovers are interviewing 6 candidates this week. I'm hoping for announcement at end of the week

Yes I am abit peeved/annoyed at the lack of defenders signed. Yes I think a new keeper and Johnson will help defensive but we still needed more in terms of defenders. I also thought Mowbray would be more ruthless in terms of cutting the squad of players like Mulgrew

Summer Transfer Window 2019

We should be all over this deal and I would be very disappointed if we didnt make this deal happen I like Smallwood alot and he played with his heart on his sleeve and I have huge respect for him. I'm surprise a league 1 club hasn't come in for him like Ipswich, Doncaster or Shrewsbury. Just the sort of player they need -

I would say Norwich success is down to one man and that being Sporting Director Stuart Webber in terms of signings there. He has great contacts throughout Europe and set up a good scouting structure there plus him and Farke have a great working relationship. Its a structure I am fan off as it allow the head coach to focus on training and set the team up whilst the sporting director finds the players and focus on negotiating the terms on players we want to sign after targets are finalise by both Sporting Director and Head Coach I think it would Joe, tho I respect your view it wouldn't and that fine. I think the 2 players I mention Hector and Cunningham would improve our 11 and make us significantly. I am getting annoyed with the lack of activity in terms of signings for the positions we need. Questions should be asked if we don't strengthen more at the back as that where we need to at the start of summer. We know what we need in terms of signings and players we should be selling. I was happy with Johnson signing. The Gallagher signing make me question why we sign Brereton if Mowbray will not use him considering the good pre season he had and look our best striker in pre season. As you know I am big fan of Brereton. I can understand the Downing signing. I understand that Walton was on the shortlist but not near the top of the list. Martinez from Arsenal was a target aswell as this foreign keeper which I don't have a name for, plus Newcastle's Karl Darlow but wages too high. I thought we should have move for someone like Nottingham forest Costel Pantilimon or Southampton Fraser Forster. I hope you have seen the defenders I have suggested we should have move for or we move for by Thursday deadline. -

Rovers/Mowbray should be targeting a centre back and Left Back before the deadline. Bring in Michael Hector(centre back) and Greg Cunningham(left back and available from Cardiff) and we are looking at top 6 finish otherwise we arent. -

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17817439.rovers-dont-anticipate-crazy-end-transfer-window/ Waggott says dont anticipate crazy end of the window. So maybe 1 signing at best. Look like im going to disappointed that he hasnt strengthen the defence enough. His 1st signing should have been centre back Hector from Chelsea. They were some decent free transfers about. Or Foriegn players like Sainsbury, etc. We could have gone for Matt Clarke from pompey. Rovers have miss out on some good centre backs. Questions need to be asked why we didnt strengthen the defence more. I hope im wrong and we sign 2 defenders -

Very easy for us to say that without knowing the full facts of why each deal didnt happen. I know why Maher deal didnt happen -

We have tried for a keeper from foreign market. We tried for Adam Maher but decided to stay in Holland. We also tried for German midfielder aswell. -
How is Downing a defensive winger?

Still backing Mowbray 100% and I happy with him as manager of my club. I see no reasons to change my view. I respect other views who will disagree with me like Ewood Ace, etc. The joys of social media

Bennett wasnt to blame for the first goal. The ball was given away by Bennett but Downing gave chase and cover the right back slot then for some unknown reason move over in a centre of the pitch. But then Johnson move into the right back slot making us back 4. Bennett chased down the Charlton number 8. cos Travis and Johnson werent there. Travis should have tracked their left wing back but didnt. And Johnson should have stayed in the right back slot in the back 4. First Johnson was in the right back slot where he should have until the ball went out of play. Travis should have tracked their left wing back. I do have pictures to prove my points but it wont upload them for some reason

Disappointted about the result but I wont let it get me down or sploit my weekend. I was encouraged by parts of our play but as soon as Armstrong and Downing went off we stop playing the short passing, high pressing game that got us back into the game. Bring on Graham was the wrong tactic and Dack should have been sub not Armstrong. Dack wasnt in the game. Not going over the goals we conceded cos it been covered by the rest of you. Very impressed by Johnson in midfield. But 4 fancied teams for top 2/promotion also lost so that is slight positive

Yes very true about the car park, I have no idea why those car parks aren't used. Maybe a question to ask club. I would agree that Rover are the best thing in Blackburn. I wouldn't go to the town centre for much nowadays -

But Rovers cant control the roads or transport links. Thats down to the council and I cant see Them being in mood. I park near the old Blackburn Hospital and walk down. People could catch the train from Preston and either drop off at Mill hall or Blackburn station. Guess the one thing that has gone from the walk from station to ground is the lack of pubs on the way tbh -

I cant complain about prices of ST tickets. My step daughter got one now for 99 pounds a season which is 4.50 per game. Bargain. She is excited and been ready since 8am this morning. How we get back non ST holders who havent been for a few years? No easy answers. Spoken to a couple of fans at Blackpool who havent been to home games in ages but go regular to away games. They make a day/weekend of it. So its suits them. I cant blame them cos I did that back in PL days and when I was in 20's. -
Would they not be give aways to players families and sponsors?
