  1. If there is any substance to the rumour, it's most likely the attempt to procure external funding to completely refurbish the Ewood and training ground pitches.
  2. Any investor seriously thinking of any return on their money would be expecting PL football for an appreciable amount of time. It isn't going to happen, even a one season term in PL would not create a windfall, sadly.
  3. Can still picture his header against Man City in the FA Cup.
  4. All yesterday proved was, against poor sides who play openly, our counter-attacking style is to be admired. However as seen in the latter stages of the season, after the false dawn, we still cannot break down sides who drop deep. A plan B is required, which Mowbray has blatantly been unable to organise. Big leap of faith to keep his as manager, still dining off Lg 1 promotion.
  5. Just seen Derek Fazackerley in the Waddington Arms beer garden .Looks as fit as a butchers dog, 69 years old. My mind immediately switched to Ayala, oh dear, Mowbray Master Transfer 27.
  6. July1st 3.00pm it is then.
  7. It's becoming a farce.
  8. On reflection, the Mowbray comments on him being performance based, trying to improve each individual.,Is reflected on the pitch. A group of individuals with no set pattern of play. A cohesive team will always overcome a set of individuals, especially the standard of ours. He even had a dig at MCarthy at Cardiff, and his style of play, maybe Saturday Mowbray will get his come-uppance. Our delusional manager who thinks he can turn us into a glorious free flowing all conquering club, whilst in the meantime results are secondary. He really is entering the Keanesque realms of delusional fantasy, born out of an irrational sense of security, as we are on a journey. He really needs to be relieved of his duties ASAP. However he will cling on until the end of the season, whilst Waggot and Venky's pray to their respective Idols for safety.
  9. Above summation is now surely echoed by many.
  10. From the false dawn of early season to the slow and excruciating death throes of a manager, passionless and completely without direction. Unable to counter sides who, as all the division has, have completely negated our supposed tactics. Weighed down by £12 million wasted on two ,pound for pound, the worst forwards seen at Ewood in a long time. Unable to escape relegation, to winning promotion from a division way below the talents of Mulgrew, Graham and Dack. Now assembled a team without passion and character. Lenihan excepted , no leaders, just a lot of journeymen going through the motions. After Armstrong's departure, which is inevitable, both for financial reasons and personal ambition, would you allow a man who gives the most turgid post-match interviews a chance next season? The time has come for a change, from top to bottom, everybody from Waggot,Mowbray, downwards are treading water.
  11. The whole Academy and Development squads have a defined way of playing, each individual knows the system and style of play As a team there success is down to a cohesive plan and have beaten sides who have better individuals. Whilst retaining Cat 1 status, we live with what we can develop or pick up from the Premier League cast offs.
  12. Absolutely clueless. No passion, no bravery no character, a mirror image of the manager. Venus sat doing an impersonation of a cardboard cut-out. Thanks Tony, but time is up.
  13. The right manager will have to be either out of a job, or joining from a lower club, this rules out original suggestion of Barnsley or Reading manager.
  14. As we are at the moment, not exactly a step up. 5 loan players, numerous players out of contract, club teetering on edge of FFP precipice.
  15. Sadly, neither would come here.
  16. Advertised as Live, but recent comment from Rovers Academysays not now showing live.
  17. My wife started to get interested in watching, a trip to Oldham, as above, soon cured her.
  18. Only player I've ever seen crying on the pitch. Started off moderately well, until the previously injured Tony Field returned, everything went through Field to O'Mara',s detriment. Retrieving a ball in front of Riverside for a throw in, crying uncontrollably, confidence completely shot, never to recover.
  19. Little lad in a mans game, wimped out of his chance to equalise. No winners in the side and no plan B from manager. Too much tippy-tappy football, sometimes, especially when behind at home, a little bit of brute force is required.
  20. Possession statistics look good on paper, but it's little lads football. No aggression, physicality, or good old fashioned Ale House football when needed. It's almost impossible to have so much possession with so few shuts on target.
  21. Yes it is one of the seven, thanks.
