  1. The amount of paranoia on here is frightening. It's a way of creating funds outside of FFP. I would be more worried if they did nothing and allowed us to run the club on income generated by 9,000 fans. Regardless of all the mistakes , ignorance, complacency and arrogance portrayed by our owners, in the cold light of day we are poorly supported. I don't disagree with people's personal motives for non-attendance, but FFP will always restrict our growth due to the lack of income.
  2. Pears conversely ecstatic on being offered a 4yr deal.
  3. Filling his head at all the things to be worried about Reading, rather than how to beat them.
  4. Another reference to fitness levels and intensity of training. When is the intensity of training going to come to fruition? We have, as last season, not seen a performance where our fitness levels in a match seem superior to the opposition.
  5. Another example of accepting mediocrity, the whole set up reeks of complacency , hence as I suspect do the players not willing to renew contracts. The whole set-up needs a refresh, starting at the top.
  6. It really is a strange situation down at Ewood, poor crowds, an inevitability that we will not break into the top six. A manager who consistently makes the same mistakes regarding tactics. Sat at half time knowing that we would at the very least, be hanging on to 3 points at best. There needs to be a spark. A CEO that has alienated thousands of supporters by unrealistic ticket pricing, lack of a local board of directors with their finger on the pulse. An acceptance of mediocrity, whilst relying on an absentee owner to plough ridiculous amounts of money to keep us afloat, albeit through their own mis-management Can only assume that the players not agreeing to renew contracts can see that the future at Ewood is far from rosy. There has to be a point when major decisions have to be made about the current set-up from top to bottom.
  7. There is not enough bite in midfield, no strength or defensive nous. Mowbray wants to play tombola, no consistency other than the inability to hold on to a lead, never mind a clean sheet. 3 at the back doesn't work, Substitutions other than Brereton, like bringing schoolboys on to a man's game.
  8. Clearly the influence of new personnel will hopefully shake the club out of its Covid slumber. Whether circumstances around the furlough of staff, or the delay in appointing new people contributed to the pre-season malaise, is up for debate. The season ticket package is as generous as can be expected without undercutting full season ticket holders, but the adjustment to walk on prices is one that hopefully will encourage people to attend. Cue another Mowbray death spiral.
  9. So if there's a massive restructuring behind the scenes, why all the cloak and dagger innuendo.
  10. Not at the walk on prices at present, totally out of context with the area and situation. If walk on prices were realistic, and conversely season tickets were aligned price wise, then perhaps, but for this season it is a catastrophe.
  11. The FFP calculations take in previous two years and the projection for this season. We have obviously had to reign in our salary levels as a consequence of the mis-management and Covid effect. So any new manager would not have the usual "new money" bounce, this presumably ties in with the supposed u-turn on sacking Mowbray. We are effectively on a self imposed embargo, due to the profligacy of the previous 2 seasons. Not really surprising that in April whilst a decision had been made, the lack of funds made the position unattractve to potential managers.
  12. It's my understanding the 3 year cycle is rolling, not a 3 year cycle and start again.
  13. The comparison between Souness and Mowbray one you would die for, and one you would fall asleep listening to. The choice is yours.
  14. Been looking through Rovers seating plan, frightening the apparent availability at the moment.
  15. Southampton paid £15 million for Che Adams, surely Arma worth close to that.
  16. Mine keeps stuttering, hoping on full launch the quality improves.
  17. Anyone having problems playing video clips on Rovers TV, the toolbar does not have the settings icon to adjust to 360 pr.
  18. Bolton have allocated areas that have social distancing, if people require. I know of a few Rovers season ticket holders that would prefer some flexibility on season tickets, be it social distance seating, TV coverage, flexibility as per Covid restrictions. The silence from Ewood is embarrassing. Presume with projected sales of tickets, the club assume social distancing will not be a problem. A supporter lost rarely returns.
  19. The most comical aspect is that I contacted them from my supposed defunct email address and they responded.
  20. I have a tiscali email address ,which although 20 yrs old receives all communication. All except anything from Rovers. Contacted Rovers and they responded that the email was undelivered, due to out of date email address. However when I purchase tickets etc I get a confirmation of purchase. Suggest the database for generic emails from Rovers is at fault. Another to add to the general feeling that the incompetence is not just allied to football matters alone.
  21. Have emailed the club with similar concerns, no reply.
