  1. Another Waggot Masterclass.
  2. Is there more wiggle room regarding FFP next season?
  3. Barnes and Leonard.
  4. So we now have 3 extra categories of fans who through the amateurish marketing attempts, and under performing team will have serious doubts about attending next season. 1 People who understandably through Covid did not renew last season, but are willing to attend next season, are penalised. 2 Half season ticket holders after witnessing another Mowbray death spiral. 3 Final Five ticket holders. Add to this the half- hearted campaign and video, surely only diehards will renew, sadly I'm one. The whole set up reeks of complacency, an acceptance of mediocrity.
  5. Advised both my daughters that today's pricing is really not worth paying, first time I've ever done this in 30 years
  6. At least we won't be paying a fee for his inclusion in the Belgium team.
  7. That memory will last a lifetime, unfortunately. So weak, the goalie was led on the ground waiting for it to roll to him.
  8. If you look at Giles video clips at Cardiff he has Moore and Flint to cross to, we have dwarfs.
  9. This potential transfer has been on since the mysterious back injury Monday night. Further accelerated after the meeting on Thursday. If a deal has been agreed then replacements must have been sourced. Only failed medicals will disrupt proceedings.
  10. If a transfer is a possibility, then Brentford have been interested before. The link to Brentford midfielder could be part of a deal
  11. Maybe but , he is a poor left back, in a back four..
  12. Oli Burke's stats has his first youth football team as Mowbray Rangers. Presume it's a piss take on his Celtic career.
  13. Agree, having worked in Burnley for 40 years, the early 70's was banter and friendly rivalry, however once we gained the ascendancy it turned.
  14. Regardless of all the misgivings about Venky's, Waggot and Mowbray, the one thing that stood out today was the players care about wearing the shirt.
  15. The comment was in reply to a statement that people will flock back to Ewood for Premiership football or new owners. It's the conditional supporters I have a problem with, not people who cannot afford it , which is perfectly understandable.
  16. History says otherwise. Sure people attended watching a Premier League winning side, but don't forget the dwindling attendances Ince/Allardyce era. John Williams drastically reducing season ticket prices to raise attendances. Are people who add clauses to there attendance at Ewood, like Premiership football or a change of ownership , just fans and not supporters. Being a Rovers supporter is not conditional, it's supporting through good times and bad. We will only be a strong as the income we achieve, which larger attendances will go a small part in helping.
  17. Whoever is right, it is better than doing nothing at all.
  18. If everything is viewed as negative, then that's paranoia. The only problem regarding points deductions is the relative amount of the sale, Derby and Sheff Wednesday were massively disproportionate to the actual value.. 90% of non attendees will not return if Venky's depart, that is the crux.
  19. Investment is linked by the constraints of FFP due to low income. I don't in any way believe Venky's are as you surmise, far from it. As other posters have intimated, there appear to be changes in the club, new appointments , a leaner organisation, but for reasons beyond our thoughts, do not seem to want to announce these. At the end of this season, we drop off, within the 3 year cycle, an expensive recruitment season. With Armstrong's sale and this cash injection through the training ground, hopefully allied to the expected departure of Mowbray and Waggot, we may be looking to a brighter future, On non attendance, my father stopped going after the Wembley 1960 debacle. When we were at our lowest ebb, early1970's he started attending again. He ruefully remarked that his non attendance had achieved nothing, only the demise of the club and denying him watching the club he loved.
  20. The amount of paranoia on here is frightening. It's a way of creating funds outside of FFP. I would be more worried if they did nothing and allowed us to run the club on income generated by 9,000 fans. Regardless of all the mistakes , ignorance, complacency and arrogance portrayed by our owners, in the cold light of day we are poorly supported. I don't disagree with people's personal motives for non-attendance, but FFP will always restrict our growth due to the lack of income.
  21. I meant I bet Pears couldn't believe his luck.
