  1. I’m convinced Travis will go and I think deep down he wants to. He is good mates with Sammie, Dolan & Brittain and despite all their ‘thanks & appreciation for the club & fans’ they’ll be telling him to make the move away, I’m certain of it. On Rovers Instagram posts he’s all over Brittain’s & Dolan’s new moves, yet nothing on any of Miller’s announcement. Maybe looking into it too much, but my gut feeling says he’ll be gone by end of August. Hope I’m wrong. More confident Tronstad stays, but of course, the club need to offer that contact soon!
  2. Was hoping Axel Henriksson would have been announced by now. Reckon JDT has had a word with him?!!
  3. Surely we will bolster the squad with loans once we have finalised this lad from Sweden. Historically we have utilised loaning. Might have missed a few but: 21/22 - Van Hecke, Zeefuik, Clarkson, Khadra & Poveda 22/23 - Morton, Thomas, Hirst & Mola 23/24 - Hill, Koumetio, Ayari, Moran & Chrisene 24/25 - Sanderson, Beck, Baker, Cozier-Duberry, Dennis & Woodrow You would guess from above we would bring in four loan players? Brighton & Liverpool usually our first port of call, any names likely?
  4. Agree with the comments regards Travis. Head went down when Eustace left, that was obvious. Now he's seen two of his team mates reunited with JE, Dolan gone to Spain and now Brittain off too. He's good mates with Sammie Szmodics too and just get the feeling they are telling him to move on. The club is a cess pit with Pasha and Gestede running things. Hate to be negative, but this season is going to be tough.
  5. Completely agree. I wasn’t a huge fan when he first joined, as he often stood motionless in games and looked unsure, but he’s grown on me. I like him. He doesn’t dodge questions and his interviews don’t appear hurried.
  6. We just cannot entertain losing Travis, Tronstad or Brittain in addition to those who have already left. Every new player deserves a fair chance in a Rovers shirt before being fully judged, but the signings we've made and the latest rumours are a bit of a concern! Based on 24/25 stats: Signed: Sidnei Tavares 33 appearances, 1 assist & 1 goal playing in the Portuguese top division with a club finishing 10th of 18. Signed: Dion De Neve 32 appearances, 3 assists & 2 goals playing in the Belgian top division with KV Kortrijk who were relegated finishing 15th of 16. Rumoured: Marwan Al-Sahafi 28 appearances, 1 assist & 6 goals playing in the Belgian top division with Beerschot who were relegated finishing 16th of 16. Rumoured: Sivert Mannsverk 20 appearances, 1 assist & 0 goals playing first two games of the season for Ajax before moving on loan to Cardiff who were relegated finishing bottom of the Championship. Coincidentally that one assist was for the opening goal in our 2-1 loss to Cardiff! Hard to be positive at the moment.
  7. Oh, then that’s perfect. Just looked at it online and thought why have they ruined it! Looks a nice shirt.
  8. Genuinely would have bought it, if it didn’t have the Venkys logo on the sleeve.
  9. Just hope it’s not Derby he goes to. Their deluded fans are driving me mad on social media thinking they are going to be a top six club all of a sudden!
  10. Humble pie time for me. Wasn’t Ismael’s biggest fan and was incredibly critical of him. However, he has overseen some great results in recent weeks and more importantly, it seems like he’s bonded with the players. Kudos to him. Who knows what next weekend will bring, but regardless of the result, this squad of players, who we all predicted would be involved in a relegation scrap this season have done the shirt, club and supporters proud. My favourite season since the Hughes era. 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️🔵⚪️
  11. Ismael wouldn’t look out of place in Madame Tussaud’s. He’s got absolutely nothing about him. Stands there frozen in time. Cannot stand him. Eustace may have had an average squad overachieving but this bloke will take us down next season, no doubts at all on that.
  12. Said so many times this season that under Eustace I was back to the enjoyment of the Hughes era. Not based purely on the results, but just lost all enthusiasm under Ismael. Was prepared to give him a chance but it’s awful, just awful. Completely lost interest.
  13. Can’t really add anything that hasn’t been said, but the future looks bleak. Two managers in Eustace & Lowe at least produced some results with these players. They look so un-interested under Ismael and the passing is absolutely woeful. Every time the camera panned to Ismael it looked like the tv had paused. Would have been encouraging to see some kind of fight from him. Poor appointment confirmed for me.
  14. What the f?!k was that Hyam? Sunday league level f?!k up.
  15. Forshaw’s passing been so sloppy today. Constantly giving it away.
  16. Let’s give him a chance before all the negative comments.
  17. We need the three points here more so today. WBA, Coventry and Norwich all currently leading. Edit: FFS 🤬
  18. Out of interest, whilst on my lunch break, a quick look at the poll list candidates win rate (%) Excluding caretaker roles. Only included Allardyce' last two roles as I don't think he'd really be under consideration and don't have time to include all of his jobs!. Included our last three managers for comparison. Aitor Karanka (Middlesbrough) 46.80 Richie Wellens (Leyton Orient) 45.86 Rob Edwards (Forest Green Rovers) 45.28 Jon Dahl Tomasson (Blackburn Rovers) 44.44 Ryan Lowe (Plymouth Argyle) 42.97 Ryan Lowe (Bury) 42.67 Richie Wellens (Swindon Town) 42.17 Tony Mowbray (Blackburn Rovers) 40.45 Ryan Lowe (Preston North End) 37.60 Richie Wellens (Salford City) 36.67 John Eustace (Blackburn Rovers) 34.62 Richie Wellens (Oldham Athletic) 32.56 Steven Gerrard (Aston Villa) 32.5 Gary O'Neil (Wolverhampton Wanderers) 31.75 Aitor Karanka (Nottingham Forest) 30.80 Rob Edwards (Luton Town) 30.77 Gary O'Neil (Bournemouth) 29.73 Rob Edwards (Watford) 27.27 Richie Wellens (Doncaster Rovers) 23.08 Aitor Karanka (Birmingham City) 21.10 Sam Allardyce (West Bromich Albion) 15.40 Sam Allardyce (Leeds United) 0.0
  19. I did vote for Gerrard, but you have made a very valid point here and the media coverage of Gerrard kicking off about backing etc would exceed that of JDT & Eustace, so for that alone, I think they would swerve him. I think they have learnt their lesson and will go for someone now who will quietly go about their business and tow the Waggott/Pasha line.
  20. I've voted Gerrard too. None of the names really jump off the page to me and anyone one of them could be a hit or miss, but maybe with Gerrard's high profile, we'd get a bit more media attention! The last two Liverpool legends that managed here did alright and in fact Souness win rate at Southampton (the last English club he managed before Blackburn) was less than Gerrard's at Villa.
  21. Just listened in on Radio Derby to Eustace first interview to see what he had to say. Main points relevant to Blackburn was: - First approach was made on Friday. - Bought into the long term vision of the club (Derby) which backs up the rumour of assurances he was seeking with us. - Wanted to be part of a club that cares about its history. - Not had any communications with club owners since has time at Kidderminster. Time for us to move on, but was interested in what he would say. I'm sure there will be more to add as apparently a number of national press were present.
