  1. I think that Waggot has to take huge blame regarding this team and it’s performances. He took about 10 times longer than any other ceo to appoint a manager and would still be deciding if Broughton hadn’t come in to force his hand. Absolute amateur hour. The consequence of such dilly dallying was that there was insufficient time to assess the squad and decide who to bring in, resulting in very poor decisions. He also allowed the recruitment team to be depleted and not replaced quickly enough so that the new management team were left ill prepared to make the informed recruitment decisions needed. JDT meanwhile refuses to acknowledge that his style of play does not suit the scant squad at his disposal. By now he should be up to speed as the requirements needed to be successful in the EFL, but apparently not. Unfortunately I can only see any recruitment in this window as exasperating the situation. He needs to wise up, and quickly otherwise we will go into a TM style death spiral very soon. It will be deja vu again.
  2. We effectively play 4-2-4 and then find it surprising when we are over run in midfield where there is only one player( Garrett) who can tackle. Formation and selection totally wrong. When is JDT going to learn?!!! give me strength.
  3. We are always bullied off the pitch and yet JDT still wants technical players.
  4. Why are we so incapable of clearing our lines!!😡 why can’t we win any tackles.
  5. If it’s a case of spending money then I would rather it was used for Hugo Vetlsen, if it’s a possibility, rather than on Cantwell. I think once a bad attitude has set in or the mojo has been lost it very rarely comes back. Eg Dele Ali.
  6. We desperately need an experienced tough tackler who is comfortable on the ball.
  7. I have a signed copy of his book. He gave to to my father- in-law Ken Furphy and signed it “to my friend, Pele”. Ken managed him when he played for New York Cosmos in the 1970’s
  8. Morton is useless at tackling. Players just stroll past him. We need a player with bite in the midfield but sadly that’s not Travis.
  9. We really struggled when TM tried playing a possession based game. Only when we mixed it up and played more direct, as we did last year, did we do better. We don’t have the players for it. We are just playing ourselves into trouble a lot. Pep Guardiola has a lot to answer for.
  10. I’ve just checked and mine says the same. However, it says it runs out in June 2023.
  11. Did well at Portsmouth and how well was BBD doing prior to last year. With age comes maturity maybe he has learned how to play and will be a real gem. Anyway a loan with a view would be best option.
  12. That’s why svb was important because he can cover rb and rwb. If he doesn’t come then we may have a problem.
  13. Philips only passes sideways to JRC or Ayala so it comes down to Ayala to pass through the lines which he is not very good at. It limits our ability to pass quickly and effectively out of defence.
  14. I think our hands are tied due to the new rules for ffp coming in next season. Phili says we are limited to salaries being 90%, presumably that means 90% of turnover which will be incredibly hard to achieve unless our revenue grows substantially.
  15. Every time he got the ball there was nobody for him to pass up the line to, he was left on his own so would lose it or have to re-cycle it. Where are the tactics?!
  16. Yes and we cannot afford to lose BBD as we have no goal threat at all.
  17. Agreed, but as usual the referee let’s them get away with every game!
