  1. Is Markanday injured. Seems to have slipped out of the reckoning. So much promise as this article shows https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/12725376/diwali-tottenham-legend-ledley-king-on-trailblazer-dilan-markanday-as-blackburn-host-celebrations
  2. Dack’s back in. Tony has just picked him. 😉 https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/bradley-dack-blackburn-rovers-mowbray-25303006
  3. “But I came here because it’s a great project where we can create something beautiful.” I always equate “projects” to my paper mache u shaped glacial valley for geography class, but creating something beautful? I can live with that.
  4. Strange situation. Came as one of Tottenham’s most promising youngsters and JDT clearly doesn’t rate him as the finished article. Not sure if it was his injury or his style of play. Interested in your thoughts on his readiness for a senior game.
  5. Did someone mention Tombola? Working for me at Roker lads. 🤪 photo credit BBC website
  6. Did you notice him slightly raise his hands in celebration. He shot them down very quickly. That was the cherry on the turd. Awful game. No manager bounce dings us again. Passing backwards on 89 minutes finished it for me. No running into positions. Midfield overran and nobody to put their foot on the ball and control proceedings. Old Dack would have had that chance.
  7. Maybe Lenihan wishes he could be playing against Cardiff this week. Another coveted manager bites the dust https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63116336
  8. Apparently is is the maximum you can do for a player of his age.
  9. I am a little over his comment about I don’t buy the players. He doesn’t get involved in the grubby dealings but surely to God he advises who and what he wants. He needs to take accountability for how players perform and how he fits them into his “project.”
  10. Get on the training pitch in November. Sounds like another journey to me.
  11. Lovely to read this from a Watford newspaper. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/21407480.watfords-limp-lethargic-display-sees-beaten-blackburn/
  12. Near home and s nice signing on fee. Whatever rocks your boat. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/nyambe-blackburn-rovers-wigan-athletic-24967906
  13. “It's normal when it's a young group, we are in transition and this is a project. It will take time” 😳😳🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️
  14. I’ve got a massive 771 page transfer gossip hangover. I am still scrolling the page in case the FA teleprinter jammed and we got Styles over the line. Or perhaps a stonking free transfer out of contract snip from Fernatsary who is a forgotten gem with an English passport and has been a successful 20 goal a season man in a top league. Where’s my aeropress and single origin coffee?
  15. Delighted to see these comments. Shameful sAys the Goodison News https://www.goodisonnews.com/2022/09/01/everton-make-eleventh-hour-phone-call-to-blackburn-rovers-to-negotiate-ben-brereton-diaz-valuation/ As I mentioned a few chapters back, which business waits until the last minute and then tries to negotiate on the phone. They know the Venkys stance. Pay up or shut up. i do believe they want Brereton to stay and help us get into a play off position. They do have ambition for the club and are prepared to take a chance with a quality player. The beat goes on. 🎼👏🎸
  16. Interesting comment Mowbray made about his new owners “ But I feel as if there is a plan from the owners. They are not saying ‘Sunderlandhave to win the league this year’. They want to grow this club incrementally, they don’t want to spend £100 million this summer. Put talent and quality into your club and let it grow.“ Looks like another journey then? No pressure to get promoted. Luvly.
  17. I hope you are not putting too much of a gloss on this signing although i understand you want to appear whiter than white.
  18. Thinking philosophically about this last minute sale Charade that clubs go through. Why? If you need a player, budget for him and go in early. Job done. We are not buying bomber jackets at H&M when it does not matter if you miss out. I appreciate that some squad players availability depends on injuries further up the food chain. I think For some clubs, saying they went for a player gives them bragging rights with fans. Except fans are not stupid.
  19. He needs to go in this window. We don’t need the risk of an injury or a drop in form diluting the price. Plus the ability to pre sign a contract in January and all the head games that go with that.
  20. Well we did a great job with Harvey Elliott. He did a great job for us.
