  1. £8million if I remember right. Kerr-ist. Bramble 'only' cost £6million.
  2. Jackie McNamara, who is far too good to be playing for Wolves. I don't know anything about this Valencia guy, but since Jackie isn't a natural left back you might be right.
  3. If Morten hadn't scored my lot would have at least been in with a chance. We played very well - typical Scotland, really, since it's not going to count for anything.
  4. I could tell you exactly what is so stupid about that 'sentence' but I know I'd be wasting my time. You seem to have an interesting defintion of prawn sandwich fan; person who appreciates basic grammatical skills.
  5. Will you ever make a post that doesn't feature "lol" at some stage?
  6. Ok, so Savage is a bit of pratt. I knew that before he signed for Rovers, but I also knew he was a good player. Personally I don't give a flying bollock what he does off the park as long as it doesn't affect his performances on it. If people are unhappy with his displays for us, that's fine and they can look for reasons wherever they like - but doing a two minute interview for Sky complaining about Toshack isn't a valid one.
  7. I read Timothy Zahn's 'Thrawn Trilogy' of Star Wars books recently, which were really nice until the underwhelming ending. All that stuff with the Noghri got pretty dull too. Then I read Kevin J Anderson's Jedi Search and wished I hadn't...that's knocked me away from that type of thing for a while. Currently re-reading Waylander as a filler until something grabs my attention.
  8. I never feel confiedent when we play Villa for some reason. No different today, I've just got that "we're going to lose" feeling gnawing at the pit of my stomach. I'm not concerned about Neill's absence as Reid has proven a capable full back in the past - I'm more worried by the prospect of Mokoena playing in the centre if Todd is unfit. Matteo moving in one with Gresko at left back seems a better idea. Come on Rovers, prove me and the pit of my stomach wrong.
  9. So what's above the 3 on US keyboards? Sounds like we should have won tonight (I was working...I heard nothing), but I would have taken a point before kick off, so no complaints really. Except about the lack of discipline - imagine how the media are going to react if we actually were to become half as bad as we're cracked up to be. That plus the suspended fine. Must do better.
  10. Jan, you never had any wonderful insight into how bad for the club Souness had 'become' - you were wailing away about how he was leading the club into ruin when he took us to sixth place and a cup victory. The fact that things eventually turned sour does not mean you were clairvoyant, it just proves that if you keep repeating the same thing over and over again for eternity, there will probably come a time when what you are saying is accurate. The fact that I favour Rangers over Celtic has nothing to do with anything involving Rovers.
  11. Agree with Mr Sidders' tactical chatter here. And giving Tugs a song as well. Even if Spurs midfield hasn't quite clicked yet, I think they are the sort of team that playing five across the middle is suited to. Spoiler tactics it may be, but I'll accept that if we can get out of there with a point.
  12. And what, exactly, did you have to be proud about?
  13. Well that result's got the optimism levels back up a notch or two. A pair of really good goals, I seriously doubt we'll see any better from Rovers players for the rest of the season. The defending for Fulham's goal was shocking though - Todd doesn't look to have started the season anything like as well as he finished last from what I've seen so far.
  14. 55. This is more bad news. Suddenly the prospect of scoring goals looks daunting again. Step forward Matt Jansen?
  15. You have a short memory.
  16. Not as bad as those non-footballing ones that affect certain people's perspective of a person in the game, though.
  17. I've nothing in particular against Southampton, but I'm really enjoying Rupert Lowe finally getting his comeupance for the disgraceful way he treated Paul Sturrock and especially Dave Jones, and just for being a snotty southern git in general. I was glad to see it all going tits up for Glenn Hoddle at Spurs as well. For so, so many things.
  18. On the subject of Star Wars music, Duel of the Fates is a brilliant composition - really exciting. Probably the best thing about Episode I, actually.
  19. Look I don't want to be the guy that always sticks up for the ex-manager, but where's the disgrace in losing to a side of the quality of Depor?
  20. "One of Graeme Souness's biggest mistakes - now there's a list - was to lose his top four scorers - Duff, Dunn, Yorke and Cole - after Rovers finished sixth in 2002-03" Why yes, that's exactly how it happened. Muppet.
  21. Is Callum Davidson still at Preston? Where is Hignett these days? Kaba Diawara? McAteer is at Tranmere ha ha ha.
  22. *OTT Gangsta accent* Damn bwoy. Shee-iiiiiiit.
  23. Real Madrid for their elitism when it comes to the treatment of their players. Bloody Birmingham City and Steve sodding Bruce in particular for all the above mentioned reasons.
