Yes he was. At times In the second half Buckley seemed to be as well. It all seemed pretty fluid though with Brereton having a spell there also.

A little reminiscent of the league one promotion campaign. We tended to blow teams away in 20-30 min spells but be bang average the rest of the time.

Thought we did very well. Today. Cardiff were on top until we scored. Some great goals. Loved the second and 4th. Excellent stuff. Ayala is class. Midfield did well today and well done Diaz on the hatrick. Thought Dolan was the stand out player though. Superb tracking back. The cross for the second was the best I've seen in years...and no way was he not getting ahead of the CB for his goal. Could be a real player for us.

Here's my frustration with Mowbray. The pragmatic 'defend first' and counter approach means we are picking up points in games where we wouldn't have last year. We are clearly a goalscorer short of really benefitting from this approach. Last year we had one. A more suited to counter attacking striker you'd struggle to find. Set the team up this way last year and I bet we finish a damn sight higher. His stubbornness is often to the detriment of the team.

Problem with loans. For every one that turns out to be decent, two tend to be crap. So far the Brighton lad looks good, the Leeds and Liverpool lads poor. God knows about the bizzarre injured CB loan.

Mowbray clearly settling for a point here with those subs. Be amazed if we don't concede late on.

Kudos to the ref. He's been decent this lad.

Rothwell has put in a shift this half.

If you can't play with pace and power in this league, pace and trickery is the next best option. Brereton a lot better this half.

Saw an interview with Mowbray last week talking about these 2 home games being winnable. Yet he then reflected on how last season we ended up drawing or losing these type of games and only ending up with one point not 6. Said that needed to change this season. Cue the same shit. He just needs to go.

We are a shambles. Midfield too weak. No pace or muscle up front. Not seen anything in Clarkson. Can't play him and Buckley May as well play Buckley. Brereton has been absoloute garbage. Hook Brereton and Clarkson. See what the Brighton lad can do on the wing, Buckley in the midfield and Butterworth up top. Let's go full midget.

Thought it was quite an entertaining game overall...but it highlighted all that is wrong. Still can't defend. Gallagher is absoloutely shite. Brereton is about 5% better....and because the club messed up the transfer window, there are no options to replace them. Mowbray thinks he's a tactical genius with his wing backs and 3 CB. Quite simply threw the points away. That said, radio said Lennihan should have had a straight red after 5 mins so can't grumble about the draw. As an aside, Rothwell got on my nerves. Tried to show pony instead of playing simple passes in their half. Gave the ball away a lot. Right. Anyone for tennis 🎾
