  1. We think we are going down because we are Rovers fans and in synch with how bad we are. Plymouth and Birmingham fans will be thinking the same thing I think only Sheffield Wednesday fans will be confident. We expect Plymouth and Birmingham to win and whilst they have home advantage they aren’t easy games and haven’t been winning for a reason, they’ll look at us and think it’s not impossible for a point against a team in celebration mode. There’s also the possibility that if Leicester draw tomorrow and Ipswich win their game in hand then they need a point to confirm the title and we need a point to survive. From the outside I’d not expect blood and thunder if that was the scenario, similar to United at Ewood 15 years or so back. The other factor is we can survive by losing, non of us expect Sunderland to beat Wednesday but it’s not inconceivable. The odds are in our favour - so why do I still expect us to be relegated?
  2. Can’t imagine a more stupid and more self owning way to get yourself a ban Mocking a disaster from 1958 isn’t going to affect too many people deeply in the way he thinks yet he’s now got himself a ‘tragedy chanting’ charge!
  3. Wonder what the bookies have us down as? Weirdly I could see our odds of going down as shorter than I see the odds of those 4 games going in specific ways next week
  4. Really poor result, shocking but could be a big point all the same
  5. If results stay as they are then it’s a step to safety Need that win though
  6. Eustace sent off but Huddersfield equalise! Bonkers that I am cheering a goal by a team that can still overtake us
  7. Trying to keep some hope but 1 goal for Huddersfield and we could be safe with a draw
  8. We can’t control other teams around us results, apart from last week when we totally threw the game. Only ourselves to blame!
  9. As expected Sheffield Wednesday now doing their bit and leading WBA
  10. A point and a Huddersfield win sees us at the finish line but in reality a win is a necessity
  11. Don’t care if they are full strength there’s no excuses not to win this, they are beaten mentally and we have everything to play for Huge game, Eustace should go if we lose after going 5 at the back
  12. We tried to sign a striker but sadly the fans didn’t reach our target on Just Giving
  13. I’m surprised to see the club even mention the possibility of crowd funding for safe standing What next, crowd funding for a jet washing of the flags?
  14. I actually think it’s a really kind fixture for us, I wouldn’t fancy us against anyone top middle or bottom but a team out on their feet and exasperated should be there for the taking
  15. Leicester winning 5-0 tonight meaning if they win on Monday at Preston they are promoted which may make the final game slightly kinder Edit - if they beat Preston then a point against us guarantees (not mathematically excluding a 15 goal swing) they are champions assuming Ipswich take maximum points in their games Maybe we just make a gentlemen’s agreement like we did with United at Ewood that it would be lovely to draw
  16. I would like to place on record my thanks to whoever made it more difficult to attend, small mercies indeed
  17. First bit is still true, the likes of Stoke and QPR would canter past us we just have to somehow hope Huddersfield and Brum save us now
  18. I think that’s it, we’re going down, so avoidable and self inflicted
  19. Not even sure it’s that, we’ve just given them the win, they’ve offered very little but haven’t had to
