  1. Rover6, he was a boyo wasn't he. He was big on getting young players into the team from the academy if I remember correctly. To be fair to him, he was never afraid to voice an unpopular opinion and always put them across with good reasoning. He was a good poster - is he still on here under another 'name'?
  2. Good result against a streetwise, physical side that, on paper, you would expect us to struggle against. Not seen much of him but the lad Butterworth looks like he has quite a bit about him. On the flipside, Pickering looks like he's a level below this standard. Need to keep picking up points before injuries kick in because there isn't much depth beyond the first 13 or 14 players.
  3. We went in a partisan Celtic pub before the game called The Springfield Vaults. One of our lads was a Rangers, as well as Rovers fan and got a call from his wife while in there. His ringtone? The sash......that was pretty hairy.
  4. Great interview, loved every minute of it. What a side that promotion one was with great leadership on and off the pitch - as far removed as is possible with now. Favourite memory among many was when he took the team to Glasgow by train to play Celtic and led the team on foot through the city centre. No shits given despite half of the city hating him.
  5. Neco Williams? Gallagher is a better RB than him.
  6. As much as I want rid of Mowbray it's more important that Waggott is removed. The latest rumour of the training ground sale and leasing back makes this the most pressing matter at the club.
  7. I take it you're not convinced by Pickering, Parson?
  8. It'd be great reading the optimists opinions if we signed Jack Wheelchair. 'If we can keep him fit blah blah blah....'
  9. It's not just on there. There's a couple of posters on here who only contribute after a win to big the manager up, never to be seen after a loss.
  10. Sorry mate, Offsidestad was shite for us
  11. Never a Premiership standard player, the lad is a head down merchant with low footballing intelligence. Any manager shelling out 10 million plus needs their bumps feeling.
  12. So where is the relegation thread Jim?
  13. I rate him highly and (puts chaddy voice on) recommended him about 12 months ago.
  14. Mowbray's at the wheel Tell me how, how does it feel, We've got Waggott and Venus and Lowe All the players they just want to go But he'll carry on through it all And sell Brockhall
  15. It was and there were plenty on here well on board with it. Did it have it's own thread? If so, it needs bumping.
  16. Can you imagine the reaction on Dragon's Den had they both gone in with that pitch?
  17. Oh no, are Anderson and Kean back on the scene?
  18. He was overrated. We wanted a good CM and latched onto him as he was homegrown. Unfortunately, he's not all that.
  19. Cedric Kipre says 'hold my beer'
  20. Exactly, what a likeable lad he is. I'd written him off but I don't think I've ever wanted to see someone succeed more than him.
  21. Used to play for Rossendale against my lad in junior football. Was never one you thought was extra special and did he not also fail to make the grade at Accy? He's obviously come on from then.
  22. If true that's a truly appalling piece of business. Reach is a cart horse, like a modern version of Rick Holden, the scruffy, useless Oldham/City winger from the late 90s. And I'll bet he gets a boro style length of contract. Mark my words, this lad is crap.
