  1. I always remember a game at Elland Road in 1988. We were well into the 23 game unbeaten run and took a good 5000 fans packed in behind the goals. We went 2-0 down but played brilliantly to pull back level in the 2nd half (Hendry equaliser I think) The scenes when that equaliser went in will never leave me. Finished 2-2 and we nearly snatched a win with a Sellars 30 yarder only for Mervyn Day to make a worldie of a save. Great times.
  2. Yep. I'm not Bennett's biggest fan but that pass is as good as any you will see all season. Regardless of how the rest of his game was that alone makes his contribution far better than 'useless'.
  3. Superb header!!! Sutton talking a hell of a lot of sense here. We're only dangerous when we get the ball forward quickly. We haven't got good enough footballers to pass it through teams.
  4. I've seen Brereton get the ball into feet 3 times now and fail to keep possession each time - he's weak as piss. Age 19 or not he'll never make a player. Danny Graham - class there.
  5. I see Jason Lowe’s still got it ??⚪️ #BRFC @RoversTweet https://t.co/ALmexhxR5k
  6. I'm actually reacting after viewing him in L1. To be fair, I'd love it if you were laughing at me in 6-12 months when Nuttall has proved me wrong. It won't happen though.
  7. I'm with the 'unpopular opinion' on Nuttall. Plenty of endeavour but very low on quality - his goal came because he actually missed the ball but I will credit him with being in the right place. If we're hanging our hat on him to be some kind of attacking answer we're going to be seriously disappointed. He's League 2 level as far as I'm concerned.
  8. Ha ha...Nuttall...in off his boat after he missed the cross completely!!!
  9. That's been a better 5 minutes but there's a lack of intensity and guile in the last 3rd. We seem to totally lack belief up the pitch.
  10. The thing is TM will be back slapping them on a job well done at HT. Surely we're capable of better than this as an attacking force?
  11. We may well win this game, we may well get to mid-table by the end of the season but by Christ if, after 2 years, this is the sum total on Tony Mowbray's development of a footballing philosophy, it's pretty shocking.
  12. This is pretty dire fare. God only knows how this team gets a goal.
  13. Anyone mentioned Shane Long on loan? Out of favour at Southampton and can play on his own up front and also has pace. He'd be ideal.
  14. We go mad on how good Sheff Utd were that day but we were absolutely appalling, they would have beaten us with 9 on the pitch that night. Not so sure they're that good and subsequent results do suggest that. An ageing front 2 of Sharp and McGoldrick is hardly one to put shivers down the spine either.
  15. Someone has to fill in the gaps for me on this, I'm only reading on my mobile can't see the ask admin section. Edit - just read it...intriguing...
  16. I think the most telling thing is that the focus of this thread has changed from 'Does Brereton look like a 7 million pound player?' to ' Does Brereton even look like a footballer?'
  17. As it stands Kevin Gallacher is a more effective player and he's mid forties.
  18. Said it before but every performance seems to strengthen my view that Brereton is bollocks.
  19. Never gets old that Neal. I love the way he freezes in sheer panic at the thought of driving forward.
  20. drog was a fan. He said Lowe was unfairly pilloried by the fans here (a la Wilcox, Carsley Sherwood etc.) and that every team needs a water carrier. He failed to mention that your water carrier has,at times, to carry some water. I maintain my view that Lowe is playing 3 leagues at least above his ability level.
  21. Those 3 tap ins would be fantastic anticipation and natural striker's instinct had they been scored by anyone else apart from Graham.
