  2. Yeah it's not rocket science now. If fit that 11 starts the next game and take it from there. No need for huge changes based on the opposition, let them worry about what we can do.
  3. Totally agree on his point in Nyambe nullifying Benrahma ably assisted by Evans who dropped in front to stop him receiving the ball. However, your last point hits the nail on the head.
  4. Rothwell really putting paid to the myth that he doesn't work hard without the ball, he's been superb tonight.
  5. Rothwell at the heart of all of our positive play here, he really commits the opposition
  6. Stuart made an interesting point in the last 3 managers hired all had promotion from this league on their CVs so one would expect that's part of the criteria going forward. So, could be Warnock, Hughton or Pearson....but will probably be Malky Mackay, Nigel Adkins or Coyle again.
  7. Benrahma has the ability to beat us on his own, best player in the division for me.
  8. I'll argue all day that the quality at this level is nowhere near what it was in the mid to late 80s. Take the 87-88 season and players playing their trade at that level. Teddy Sheringham, John Sheridan, Andy Ritchie, Stuart McCall, John Hendrie Gary Pallister, Gary McAllister, Mike Newell, Tony Cascarino. Plus we had Barker, Garner, Archibald, Price and Hendry - I'm not sure I can name half a dozen players at this level now, better than those.
  9. Looks like a bad un, plays like a bad un, he is a bad un.
  10. And on 2 of those occasions (I was born in 71 so dunno that one) the manager was sacked and we went on to be successful thereafter. I read all about our 'natural level" but recall teams put together on a shoestring in the mid 80s challenging in the play offs year in year out. We've had something like 5 seasons in the 3rd tier in our 144 years yet we should accept and appreciate where we are? The perspective you are trying to give is flawed based on history (not to mention significant investment currently on the playing side) and the argument on who would replace TM with is moot as it's plain to see the team is regressing and will end up back in L1 if he is left in charge. He simply has to go.
  11. I'm glad you said that. Now, be honest, in all of those 55 years can you remember us being so bad and, if so, when?
  12. If the scoreline stays as it is and the fans don't turn today, they never will. Apathy will kill this club.
  13. You just KNOW this is going to happen
  14. Another one for those on the FF
  15. Yep, pretty much this. I see us starting brightly, conceding against the run of play, conceding again before HT then rallying and snatching a draw with a late goal. Mowbray claims a never say die attitude, avoids the brickbats, the fans are happy and we bumble on.
  16. Yes, and how much better were we run back then. Amazing what can be achieved with a competent CEO.
  17. I'm pretty sure that even the shower of shite in Pune would allocate funding for ongoing maintenance if Waggott found his bollocks and asked for it.
  18. Looks like Waggott is fluent in corporate bollocks speak. What does multi year plan even mean when it comes to ignoring basic maintenance? What a prick.
  19. I'd like to think that someone will ask about this at the next FF meeting.
  20. And if we had 20,000 on each week we'd be further up the league cos it's the stayaway fans' fault you see. It's almost like someone is preparing the narrative for them....
  21. Well said. I even read on the Facebook group that we are punching above our weight the other day.... What is it? 5 seasons (I think) in the third tier in our 144 year existence.
  22. Thing is mate that there's a world of difference to when we were 'middle of the road' under Kendall, Saxton and Mackay compared to now - at least we gave it a go and we didn't have a pot to piss in back then. Fair play for sticking your head above the parapet though, I was made aware of this site through exactly the same means.
  23. Based on the amount of times you've suggested Ainsworth for the Rovers job I'd assume you'd already know the answers.
