  1. A complete shithouse. Funny how Charlie Nicholas is pretty much calling for Marco Silva's head yet he defended Kean to the bitter end.
  2. I did mate. Now if you'd used Dack as an example I was right with you and I can't disagree with the model you suggest. Using BB within the argument was what I pulled as paying 7 million on a 'project signing' isn't something we should've done and isn't 'common sense'.
  3. Your 1st post said he has cost us 45k a week. So, by that token you're saying - we aren't paying him any wages (because as you rightly say 'mate' 7 million divided by 3 years is 45 k a week) Plus, as we both know we aren't paying for him weekly we have shelled out a hard 7 million. On the nose up front so that cash has gone. Finally, put yourself in his agent's shoes, would you accept 10k or less per week when the buying club is willing to spend that much on the fee? You're talking about a club that paid Jason Lowe 15k a week here!! All assumptions but backed up with some sort of rationale and one I believe stands up. I will accept you're right on one thing though, I have no idea on his wage. Just like you.
  4. Sorry but your 45k a week 'assumption' conveniently ignored the fact he'll be getting paid every week !! Furthermore you broke the transfer fee down into instalments when I'm sure a hold up in the deal was that Forest got paid up front. As for 'assuming' he's a top earner, chances are at 7 million his agent would be pressing for big coin, he'd have plenty of reason to based on the size of the fee. No agenda there, how many 7 million signings are paid less than 10k a week? I may sound conceited here but I'm rarely wrong in my judgement of players, I'd love to be proved wrong here but I won't be. We'll make a huge loss on the lad and he'll contribute very little on the pitch, I can't point to an attribute he excels at. Finally, apologies mods, totally wrong thread.
  5. A lot of assumptions there H and are you suggesting BB doesn't get a wage?!! He'll be on 20k a week minimum I'd say do a million a year on top of the 7 million that was just the fee Forest received. Anyway, my argument was the signing for the money spent was 'common sense', it's anything but that, the lad is crap.
  6. 7 million on Brereton is 'common sense'? Blimey.
  7. You don't push for the playoffs, you get in the top 6 and either stay there or push for top 2.
  8. Meanwhile the goldfish on the Facebook page are lapping it up.
  9. Only if it's a shite back line. Generally one centre half will compete and the other will drop 10 yards behind to cover. Added to that the 2 full backs will tuck in narrow to cover as well. If you're talking about long diagonal balls that's different but would also suggest Gallagher is playing wide rather than central.
  10. Takes me back to when MGP was given an assist for taking a throw in
  11. No. I'm just pointing out that ultimately strikers are judged on goals not headers won. I'm delighted he put himself about yesterday and was a handful in the air but he needs to hit the old onion bag once in a while too.
  12. All well and good but if he doesn't contribute goals he's not doing the main thing a striker is paid to do. I daresay no-one will mention how many headers he wins if we lose a couple and his drought continues...and that's before his price tag is taken into consideration.
  13. I think there's an awful lot being put on being 'able to adapt' to different formations. My lad plays at a reasonable under 18s standard and they seamlessly drop into 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and 3-5-2 during games when needed so I'm pretty sure full time pros have the ability to do so too. One thing is for sure, it's hardly worthy of the gushing praise I'm seeing on here.
  14. Be interesting to see how the next couple of games pan out now. TM like GB before him usually sees his arse when the top 6 is looming, let's hope he takes the handbrake off and goes for it this time.
  15. Now this would be an exciting signing, he's a step up from anything we currently have. If there's a chance to get him it's one we have to make happen.
  16. It's not fact. You said everybody thought they were good appointments, I bet 'everybody' didn't.
  17. Raya has all of the natural attributes to be a top top keeper, what he lacks (decisiveness, distribution, command of the penalty area) can all be coached. I'm not sure our YTS keeper coach had it in him to gain that necessary extra 15% improvement.
  18. Minutes silences before games, especially at Anfield when the kitman's dog has died. Seriously though, tragic as it was, I remember minutes silences for Ken Bigley and Ian Huntley's victims Holly and Jessica - really? At a football game?
  19. Just watching the highlights, what the hell is Walton doing rooted to his line as Cunningham is trying to shield it back to him? Surely he should be taking charge of that situation.
  20. A great win and a thoroughly enjoyable performance to watch. I thought we looked a good side.
  21. Downing is a class above anyone else on this pitch
  22. The lad Gallagher is shite and 5 million worth of shite too. Quite how Mowbray saw fit to waste pretty much the whole budget on him (and Brereton beforehand) baffles me and now he shunts him on the wing as his ineffectiveness has become so apparent at the expense of a game changer in Rothwell. His time has been up for a while, just hope there is someone at the club who will pull the trigger before we're too deep in the shit.
