  1. Gutted no-one asked who sorted out his bloody flag
  2. Indeed Tyrone. Parson likes to quote the past to back up the present situation in a lot of his posts. He'd do well to remember us consistently knocking on the door of promotion in the 80s when we didn't have a pot to piss in.
  3. Hang on a minute, only a couple of hours ago you posted on here that we needed a target man!!
  4. Still half an hour to get the 10 million for Buckley
  5. Maybe self preservation?
  6. This is message board gold. Right. There.
  7. No worries chaps, to paraphrase, defence of the manager is coming.
  8. Twas ever thus Merce... We're coming up to the best part of a decade of it now yet still some refuse to come to terms with it
  9. Need to defend like beavers now
  10. I'm sorry but to pay 5 million on a 24 year old striker and then have to teach him how to make runs and get into goal scoring positions beats the shit out of me.
  11. I'd put my house on us not making the playoffs, in fact I'd put decent money on us not getting in the top 6 at any time this season. Feel free to bring this post back if I'm wrong. You won't need to though. Oh and Brentford will be playoffs minimum, even though we 'stuffed' them 1-0.
  12. No, but I think there's a few been deep into the class A judging by how many think we're bound for the playoffs,
  13. I seem to recall a big push in the national press to get Ince the job here with mild undertones of racism in football management. I was always of the opinion it was this that pressured William's into appointing Ince, especially as Michael Laudrup had been interviewed too.
  14. That's good enough for me then. He won't be a pudding if you rate him Tyrone.
  15. Hell of a win. There really is no need to change anything after that is there?
  16. Looks like for the umpteenth window in a row we're in for the South Korean lad Foo Kin Nowan.
  17. I kind of know what you're saying Dave but , and I want this to make sense, I think he's too much of a footballer to play CH. No doubt he has great ability on the ball but I feel positionally he gets caught out, overplays in the wrong areas and is not dominant enough. I also find it odd that Pep has not blooded him too much in the first team. Especially when you consider they have a central midfielder currently playing in there. We'll see over time though, he is still young.
  18. Controversial opinion alert.....I think (as fans) we overrate him and he won't make it at Prem level. There, I said it.
  19. Agreed. I work with a few and they say he's a wing back, never a full back.
  20. Very highly rated this lad, was going to post his name but didn't want 'the usual suspect' either badgering me on strengths and weaknesses or telling me we can't afford his wages. Or that he'd already recommended him in 2006.
  21. I'll be interested to hear TM's full take on this in the press conference on Friday. Surely someone will press him on it?
  22. Looks like we're back to the old tag line "Pay offs not Play offs"
  23. So, even with astronomical agents and signing on fees we're still looking at 6 million minimum.
  24. I've heard this a few times now and, I'm not saying you're wrong, but why is there a transfer debit of just shy of 9 million in the accounts up to March 2019? I can't think of any other significant outlay in that period apart from the 1.5 mill for Armstrong.
  25. BINGO!!! The lad is puddled.
