  1. Rooney will be the manager there by the end of the season, no danger.
  2. Don't know about keeping faith with Evans as he'd only started 3 games prior to Brentford.
  3. Ffs, I'm not saying he does, nobody is!!!!
  4. I honestly believe he reacted to pressure on his performance after the no show against Barnsley, the tide was turning. Now, do you seriously think that Mowbray 'stuck to his guns' when he dropped Bennett and Gallagher and then picked an unchanged team for the next 2 games?
  5. Just had a read through the reaction to, what I consider to be the watershed moment, the team news in the Brentford thread. Hardly any dissent on there and pretty much universally positive which, you have to admit, is pretty unusual on here.
  6. I never stated it was the side 'the fans wanted' you'd get hundreds of permutations for that one, it's who he left out in Bennett and Gallagher and that both were shoehorned into positions to accommodate their selections. You're right though, I'd have dropped Armstrong, I look at him as a head down merchant, but he was the match winner today so well done to him.
  7. Did you type that with a straight face? He made changes based on fan pressure and at odds with all his previous team selections, then picked an unchanged side for the first time this season!! Hardly 'sticking to his guns', if he had I'd wager the results would be very different.
  8. Yes yes fucking yes!!! Shit or bust every week now come on!!!!
  9. Or bending a sublime free kick onto an upright. I think you may well eat those words, he will play in a top division in Europe next season or the one after - guaranteed.
  10. Mitrovic, Benrahma and Kalvin Phillips
  11. Yeah it's not rocket science now. If fit that 11 starts the next game and take it from there. No need for huge changes based on the opposition, let them worry about what we can do.
  12. Totally agree on his point in Nyambe nullifying Benrahma ably assisted by Evans who dropped in front to stop him receiving the ball. However, your last point hits the nail on the head.
  13. Rothwell really putting paid to the myth that he doesn't work hard without the ball, he's been superb tonight.
  14. Rothwell at the heart of all of our positive play here, he really commits the opposition
  15. Stuart made an interesting point in the last 3 managers hired all had promotion from this league on their CVs so one would expect that's part of the criteria going forward. So, could be Warnock, Hughton or Pearson....but will probably be Malky Mackay, Nigel Adkins or Coyle again.
  16. Benrahma has the ability to beat us on his own, best player in the division for me.
  17. I'll argue all day that the quality at this level is nowhere near what it was in the mid to late 80s. Take the 87-88 season and players playing their trade at that level. Teddy Sheringham, John Sheridan, Andy Ritchie, Stuart McCall, John Hendrie Gary Pallister, Gary McAllister, Mike Newell, Tony Cascarino. Plus we had Barker, Garner, Archibald, Price and Hendry - I'm not sure I can name half a dozen players at this level now, better than those.
  18. Looks like a bad un, plays like a bad un, he is a bad un.
  19. And on 2 of those occasions (I was born in 71 so dunno that one) the manager was sacked and we went on to be successful thereafter. I read all about our 'natural level" but recall teams put together on a shoestring in the mid 80s challenging in the play offs year in year out. We've had something like 5 seasons in the 3rd tier in our 144 years yet we should accept and appreciate where we are? The perspective you are trying to give is flawed based on history (not to mention significant investment currently on the playing side) and the argument on who would replace TM with is moot as it's plain to see the team is regressing and will end up back in L1 if he is left in charge. He simply has to go.
  20. I'm glad you said that. Now, be honest, in all of those 55 years can you remember us being so bad and, if so, when?
  21. If the scoreline stays as it is and the fans don't turn today, they never will. Apathy will kill this club.
  22. You just KNOW this is going to happen
