If we're only making 1 signing it has to be a left back , the 3 we have are shite ! And we have to start playing Nyambe at R/B Nyambe Tosin Lenighan and a new left back , that would improve our defence no end

My lad and I have had a discussion this evening, suggesting our own preferred line ups for tomorrow . What became apparent is that we both felt our line ups would be best , but Mowbray would choose something comepletely different , in fact neither of us could actually predict what he will choose tomorrow ... If we can't predict what team he will pick surely the opposition won't either

We will finish top 10 this season .. There I've said it I am going to go out on a limb here and say (Harrison Reed apart) the players that have have come in are better or at very least equal in ability to those players that have left so the squad has improved .We've added physical size to the squad . There was times lasts on when I looked at our players and thought we must have the smallest m in terms of height , squads in the division . We have young players like Travis Nyambe Rothwell and Brereton that will improve this season and kept our best players like Lenighan and Dack

I'm In

I've seen him play 5-6 times and been impressed every time, he's aggressive he wins everything in the air and so dangerous from from set pieces and a thunderbolt of a left foot but he young and he's raw and he got a lot to Improve on .. He sometimes wanders into areas of the pitch you don't really want to see c/b in and If he can work on his distribution a £5m gamble the today could easily become a £20m player for somebody in the future But as you say apart from an off the cuff remak from Mowbray there has been no evidence of us or anybody else being interested whatsoever

Reading Mowbrays comments about looking at players whose valuations at start of window were a lot higher than now , part of me hoping its is Jake Cooper he's is talking about ... I don't think I've see him linked with a single club all summer and I wonder if that's because the valuation was sky high and now it's more realistic
-
Very happy with the Ipswich keeper , think he's an upgrade on Both Walton and Raya ... Would still rather have 2 capable defenders in though
-
Yeah cheers went today and bought one ... and the away kit isn't as horrid as the publicity shoots suggest
-
My lads to be honest. . Came In from work they told me it's broken down because we wouldn't guarantee him or city he'd be a starter ... are the little shits winding me up ..I've been scrolling here n twitter can't see anything
-
Is it true the deal for the city lad as fallen through? ?
-
Sorry if slightly off topic bit does anyone know if the club cash as been allocated to the season tickets yet ?? ... was gona go tomorrow and get new kit (see what I did then to bring it back on topic) ..
-
Who can Also play c/b .... Or left wing or centre mid
-
I would have expected Mulgrew to have moved on by now to be honest ... I am a fan of his I think he's been a fantastic player for us and will never forget the contribution he's made especially over the last 2 seasons but it's quite clear he is no longer capable at this level . I was kind of hoping Mowbray had a grown up conversation with him at the end of season thanking him for everything telling him and his agent to find a new club and granting him a free transfer , I genuinely thought Sunderland would have been perfect for him and he's not the only one Bennett , Gladwin and Smallwood should all have had same conversation

City lad today ... Jake Cooper and Julian Speroni next week ?
-
Just speculating but ... Maybe the scenario is that the main target still has a year left on his contract and the fee his club still want and his wages were just too hot for us , loaning a GK for 12 months give us a chance to re-visit that target next year . I know there talk was we were looking at bringing 2keepers in ... I don't think we should I would be happy ... No let me re-word this .. I would rather we go with Walton and the Canadian and bring in another Defender than use whatever budget is left on a 3rd keeper
-
So the popular opinion is Walton is not an upgrade on Raya but on par Weve lost Reed Rodwell and Conway (so far) and brought in Johnson Downing Gallagher and The city lad is waiting in the wings that I am really hopeful will improve us defensively and we've only spent around £2m I am obviously going to be in the minority on here. but that is not half as bad a window as some are making out
-
So is Walton the number 1 GK or the number 2
-
Keeper surprise plus Foderingham ???
-
He's 28 , so Keeper coming in has got to be in 30's not a problem as I think that's when keepers at their peak , what does slightly concern me , If Foderingham is coming surely he knows which other keeper is coming also and he still believes he as a chance of making first team
-
Martin Skrtel was mentioned in here couple of days ago , if we do play 3 at back I wouldnt want to be a forward against him Lenighan and the 7 footer
-
I remember debating 5 at the back last summer when England were using it during the World Cup , using Nyambe's in the right sided c/b role in the same way Southgate used Kyle Walker and with Lenighan centre and Mulgrea left , Bennett and Bell wing backs ... 12 months later and that could very well end up being the starting line up against charlton ... Williams in for Mulgrew maybe

Real shame that about Forster if that's the case , he was the one in my opinion was the best of all mentioned , he's a bit like Hart in the fact he's been dropped form first team and trying to rebuild his career , but Hart as actually played games at Torino , West Ham and Burnley and hasn't been able to turn it around , Forster has spent the last 12-18months as a number 3 so has not had the chance to turn it around , dropping down a division just might have done the trick for him
-
It will be Rodwell won't it ??
-
Funnily I think the signing of Gallagher will help Brerton , although he was signed for less I think there will be more pressure on Gally to deliver and less will be expected from BB
