This a thousand times over, let's not forget Axel Henriksson (who we all think is pretty crap) spoke to a paper in his home country to say how much of a dump Blackburn is and how our facilities aren't great. Players do not care how backed they are, they are contractors and move to clubs like ours these days in the hope of the next move.

"The club remains committed to work constructively with supporters and values their passion". That is absolute horse shit and should have been called out by Radio Lancs. They have been sent an open letter by multiple supporters groups and have ignored it, that is a fact. So they are clearly not committed to working with supporters at all, and Radio Lancs are a vessel peddling questionable statements.

As much as I don't rate Pears, history is telling us the replacement will be even worse! -

Whilst our 21's and first team are pretty much the same thing these days, I've wondered for a while how we have not been able to get more young players out playing professional football. We clearly see the (cheap) path of Academy to first team, surely some professional football would be beneficial before coming into Championship fixtures. -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

I have made the mistake of listening to this guys interview on Radio Lancs from last night, I cannot comprehend how he can sit there and talk about how everything is set to be fine when the injured players return (no time frame on the majority of them). There was no mention whatsoever of incomings, none! When asked about the system, injuries are the reason for the system and it isn't going to change. In a club were there is no accountability, our injury list is extremely handy for many people in power. -

If anybody in the management team or coaching team is confident of staying up, I call them a liar. I don't believe we have enough quality, fit and up for the fight players, and I 100% don't believe the coaching team can change anything. -

Its getting awkward leaving Doherty out here. Massively out his depth at the moment. -

You can semi justify that matchday squad in December. We've had TWENTY fucking days to strengthen it! Self sabotage is the only answer. -

I might be mis-remembering facts here, but didn't we gain most of our wins during the time Cantwell was out with his mystery knee injury? -

I love Sammie back and would be pretty confident he could score us the goals to stay up, but this manager would probably play him at left wing back or something stupid like that. -

The manager is just another name in an ever growing list of "if he was at a normal club would he still have a job". We are struggling with numbers but this guy isn’t helping things either! -

I should have laid more thought on this, I mean could it literally be more Rovers than to sort the pitch out ready for League One at the cost of strengthening the team to stay in the Championship. -

My understanding is you can switch up the 25 man squad as much as you want during January. You still need to comply with the home grown rules etc. -

There isnt any money per se, like at every other Championship club. Every club needs an owner/benefactor model, ours won't spend the money needed to be continually competitive in this league. -

The pathetic penny pinching nature of this club screams out that we couldn't sign a striker until somebody took Gueye of us. All on the chumps running recruitment now. -

They've paid at least £1m because it is pocket change for the vast majority of teams in this league, it is the going rate for a squad player. At our club that figure is used to take a punt on somebody from a far flung league to be in our starting eleven, in the hope the fee will multiply ten fold. We are the outlier. -

I suppose I have to be happy we have signed somebody. Hopefully he comes good. We are beyond desperate for a striker, we have either kept somebody well under wraps or its looking worryingly quiet. -

The one or two extra games isnt the problem though is it? I'd think it is reasonable to assume Cantwell and Baradji are not fully fit, Ohashi must be due a rest and is literally the only fit striker with first team experience at the club. I'd say Miller has played more football than anybody in the league with his international games added so is at high risk of injury. We are having to protect the squad rather than writing off a game. The balancing act of not losing more players has to have some thought, well unless we get Val's list signed off and sign a few first team ready players for Saturday. -

Got to agree with you there, I've never been one to "throw" a game but our squad strength is so bare we just cannot take the risk during a season that relegation is a very real possibility. I'd add Miller to that list too, the lad has played every international break. -

I can hear the manager peddling Gestede's lines already about how that list has had to be binned due to injuries. We have to spread the budget thinner on loans/signings due to the stretched squad and that is why things are taking longer.
