Little bit of a myth, that one, Keane's stomp on Haaland was a disgrace, but the latter's retirement was down to an injury to his other leg. Celtic don't want him.....ha ha ha ha. Turf Moor calls Roy: play in the mud, get sent off lots, never have to go in the away dressing room at OT, sounds perfect for you.

What a dull game, one shot one target for each side. If the BBC has any sense that match will be last on MOTD at 23:30 and will last for about 30 seconds. Two completely stupid bookings for us with Thompson & Savage being idiots. For Citah Mrs Mills was lucky that the ref didn't spot his assault on MGP. The only highlights were being back home by 17:30 and the yapping of a couple of Hooray Henrys behind us. "I think Emerton and Neill are recovering from their game in Paraguay" "England are winning in the rugby, oh jolly good" "Oooh that was not a good pass" In the voice of Ralph (as in Ted & Ralph) from the "Fast Show" Had us in stitches. The admirable Admiral was back and looking as good as ever. As for Psycho..................got to hand it to him. He'll probably pick himself for their next match. -

Just a thought. I don't suppose you have to be a member of BRISA to be able to offer some professional help to the organisation. I'm immediately thinking of an accountant who posts here on a regular basis. Surely there must be others who would be willing to offer free advice. Maybe it might be worth a trawl of members just to see what they can offer? -
1. Yes, those selfish so-and-so who have emigrated to the USA, Australia, Malta etc should expect Rovers to keep their seats for them and attend the home matches. 2. And they should attend home matches too. Blooming slackers, and I bet if they did they would leave before full time in order to get the plane back to Sydney or where ever. Useless part-time supporters.

A gentle cycle ride for me to my local stadium. It's a quite magnificent place for those of you who have never been there before, the big surprise is that the playing surface seems to be about 20m below ground level. You enter at ground level and the pitch is way down below. Quick mutterings of "water table" and "how the hell do they drain it" from those with the wherewithall. Look out for the "B of The Bang"sculpture at the south east corner of the stadium. The tallest sculpture in the country - even taller than "The Angel Of The North" near Gateshead. The only problem is that bits keep falling off and threatening to impale passers-by. Have a look, it's impressive. But don't get too close. Have a good trip everyone. I'll be back home before the lot of you. Which will make a nice change. Prediction? Do I look like Lawro? What's the blooming point. If he, you or I were any good at it we'd all be retired to the Bahamas having scooped the Pools. 2-1 City (Friedel ogs 2 - 1 James og) -
. I think I'd need a monster spliff for this to happen. But don't worry Phil, I'm quite presentable in the correct light (which is complete darkness)

Good Lord, no yellow (or red) cards either. I'd just like to join the "Tugay Is Magic" Club. He was completely and utterly tremendous today. I think someone has already made the analogy, but it was like watching a bloke playing football on the beach with a bunch of seven years olds. Bet we're still on last on MOTD -
Brilliant! Top marks for that one.

In all seriousness, I keep reading all this stuff about attracting more "Asian" fans. Has anyone else considered that Rovers should be also trying to attract more females? Comments anyone? There's only one remotely close to my seat in the BBE. -

Tell you what Aggy, me too. I'm too busy complaining about straight bananas, black bin bags, European directives about left handed hampstirs, kittens with whiskers, brown paper packages tied up with string, & snow-flakes on mittens. But (sigh) I don't suppose that is "politically correct" either. Let's struggle on eh? -
You bleeding-heart liberals make me sick. (Blaaaaaggghh) You want to send criminals on some kind of "luxury outward-bound" adventure course in sunny foreign places at the taxpayers' expense? With the Army to look after them? The Army probably has better things to do right now than look after a bunch of criminals and teach them to build rafts, have "bonding sessions," and strip an AK 47 within 60 seconds. I suppose the next thing you are going to suggest that there is a "group hug" at the end of the day. Political correctness gone mad. I really don't know what this country is coming to. Lock the blighters up for 23 hours a day in their cells, that's what I say.

Woooh there Phil, Perhaps a point I have not put across adequately is that most addictive drug users (and by this I mean the really addictive drugs like heroin) don't deliberately start off wanting to be come addicts, and therefore criminals, to feed their habits. On the other hand you can take your bank-robbers; car-hijackers; post office with a sawn-off shotgun; straight-forward violent thug types..... who do their crimes either for the sheer malicious pleasure or because it makes them money. If your average drug addict goes a shoplifting it's to get money to feed the drug habit, not to get money for getting rich. Address the addiction and the reason for the crime disappears. Crime drops. The criminal organisation which supplies the drugs is no longer needed. Locking up the gullible, the weak, the misguided and the foolish for becoming addicted will just fill the jails with the gullible, the weak, the misguided and the foolish. Probably jabbing themselves with more smack cut with Vim. This country already imprisons more people per head of population than most of the others in Europe. By your own hard-headed standards it isn't working. Time for a re-think, I think. Anyway, that's my opinion.

Having worked in the civil service for a while I can state without fear of contradiction, that all of my colleagues have actually got faces. Which is probably a good indication of the nature of your arguement which seems to rely on tired old hackened phrases and a desire to "lock 'em up for good" attitude which has been prevalent for years and has got us absolutely nowhere. The "addictive and destructive" drug policy needs to take a good look at itself and realise that it is getting nowhere fast. The criminal elements that supply heroin are in it for the long term because it makes them rich. You can double/treble/quadruple prison sentences. Perhaps even (allah forbid) start chopping off body parts but it won't make the slightest bit of difference. An approach which no government will look at is to actually purchase heroin from the suppliers and dole it out in controlled measures to the users depending on their need. It's not really that difficult. If we can invade Afganistan & Iraq, two of the principle suppliers then the rest should be easy. Mr Smith, you use 2 grams a day. It's cut with either Vim or talc, you share a needle and you carry out 5 burglaries per day. You cost the country millions in crime, stealing DVDs and selling them for £5 to a fence. Mrs Smith, you help Mr Smith and you go shop-lifting, pickpocketing, and turn tricks for money to fuel your habit. You pass on STD to your punters Both of you are regular users of the NHS because you are so completely wasted, your kids are in care, you don't know where your next fix is coming from and all that you know is that you will screw anyone anywhere just to get the money for your next jab. ***************** Mr & Mrs Smith. Here's your 2g of smack, it'll keep you going for the next 24 hours. It's clean, no Vim, no need to commit a crime. Pass your needle back to me when you've done. You can have 1.9g tomorrow and we'll see how you go. ******************* Naaaah, lock the buggers up. It doesn't do any good trying anything different.

The way Everton are going, their potential is relegation. And they've got Chelsea next...............

So 94% wouldn't. That doesn't really help us get us anywhere does it? Just on to Chesh's point that the cocaine/heroin users start with cannabis..That's probably down to the fact that they have established the links with the drug dealing community. You'll probably find that 100% of them have been to a primary school. It doesn't really mean much. As for letting drug addicts inject Vim & die? That's probably a muslin solution. Belongs to a world long gone. Probably went out of the window with slavery, young boys up the chimney & forceful buggery at Eton. *sigh* the good old days eh?

Very true. But does it make it right, or funny, or clever? And how does it give us Rovers' fans the right to perpetuate bad taste.

The Daily Telegraph reports: " The chants of Cisse Cisse how's your leg?" were not intended to be re-assuring and it was a reminder that when people talk of falling standards in football they have nowhere to plunge further than on what used to be called the terraces." -
You're just taking the opposite view out of habit (A) David Bellamy has stopped denying global warming exists. ( (i)If you don't beleive in global warming then why do you suggest that my not driving a car will make any difference? (ii) If you do beleive in global warming then presumably you'll be taking your own advice and stop driving. (C ) Have I blamed George Bush or the USA? Care to show me where? American, Post us some pictures of ice sheets, or glaciers, or mountains with snow lines where the "before" and "after" shows them either advancing or static.
