  1. In the interests of a good night’s sleep, I advise you against checking the latest odds 😱
  2. Agreed, people are convincing themselves that is the reason because they are angry. The anger is understandable, but should be directed at the owners and the clowns running the show for them. I think @RevidgeBlue made a great point, too, that it should have minds focussed on how bleak the outlook is when a manager is swapping a play off fight for a relegation struggle in the same division. It’s surely unprecedented.
  3. I was working at Calderstones Hospital at the time, and the midweek before the game, a colleague had received a tip - off from someone in the know that Kenny was coming, and would be announced at the game. He wasn’t a bullshitting type of bloke, so I dared to dream. It was a “pinch me, I’m dreaming” moment at the game itself.
  4. I’ve just checked, and the gate was 10,830, and (Senior moment from me 😵‍💫) the game was, of course, in October 1991.
  5. I’d be surprised if we get 15,000 on. We didn’t fill it on Kenny’s first day in 1992, coincidentally against the same opponents. The way to fill Ewood would be to stage a half time boxing match between Tyson Fury and Steve Kean.
  6. Neither was Hull's 😉 First goal vitally important.
  7. Come on, let’s not re-write history. Eustace kept us up and left us in 6th place this season. I get the vitriol towards him, but he did a good job for us in the short time he was here.
  8. I don’t think they knew that relegation was a thing.
  9. At 73, yes. However, maybe they will canvass his opinion on who to appoint, (and then appoint the cheapest option, anyway ).
  10. They’ve got Millwall at home next week. A far more winnable game, but the pressure will be on. If they can’t win that kind of game, they really are in trouble.
  11. Very disappointing that QPR fans haven’t sung that 😄
  12. Maybe wait until after we’ve played them?
  13. Although this is quite amusing, the cold, hard fact is that a Derby win would’ve been a better result for us. QPR are a threat.
  14. When a candidate sees him, they probably think it’s a wind up.
  15. Hey, this is Venky Rovers we are talking about 😉
  16. Horrifying 😱 Don’t shoot the messenger 😉 You’d have thought so, yes.
  17. Karanka maybe? (Hope not, obviously).
  18. Speaking on Radio Lancs, Mr Nixon has just said they’ve interviewed three, via Zoom, today - one in work (presumably in this country), and two foreign coaches. He said they plan to speak to about four more.
  19. I think jumping from City to Rovers would guarantee Pep has a breakdown 😉 The guy clearly needs a break.
  20. Please tell me it's not Wellens.
  21. If there’s a delay in making the permanent appointment, and Lowe picks up a few more wins, then maybe at that point the case for him to get it until the end of the season will carry more weight. As good a win as it was, it’s only one game, and I get the feeling it was inspired more by the motivation and determination of the players, than by Lowe.
  22. A bit like Allardyce and Warnock, I don’t think he’ll apply, but will be happy to talk if the club initiates contact.
  23. Ok, I stand corrected. Them two, then 🙂
