Agreed, people are convincing themselves that is the reason because they are angry. The anger is understandable, but should be directed at the owners and the clowns running the show for them. I think @RevidgeBlue made a great point, too, that it should have minds focussed on how bleak the outlook is when a manager is swapping a play off fight for a relegation struggle in the same division. It’s surely unprecedented.

I was working at Calderstones Hospital at the time, and the midweek before the game, a colleague had received a tip - off from someone in the know that Kenny was coming, and would be announced at the game. If there’s a delay in making the permanent appointment, and Lowe picks up a few more wins, then maybe at that point the case for him to get it until the end of the season will carry more weight. As good a win as it was, it’s only one game, and I get the feeling it was inspired more by the motivation and determination of the players, than by Lowe.

A bit like Allardyce and Warnock, I don’t think he’ll apply, but will be happy to talk if the club initiates contact.
