Personally, given our current position I think it makes no sense at all. Wellens has only ever managed in the lower divisions and, as you rightly say, his record is “mixed”, (and that’s being quite generous).

You specifically mentioned the structure and finances. The recruitment in the Summer was reasonable, and I would credit Park for that. Because Rovers are so dysfunctional, he’s slung his hook, again! The financial support has been pathetic and Eustace has performed a minor miracle in getting us so far up the table. He’s leaving because he knows it’s unsustainable. People on here realise the club is bringing run into the ground. Eustace can no doubt also see this.
