  1. Agreed, it certainly was entertaining, and I'm glad I made the effort. Also agreed it was good to see a strong side being selected for a cup tie, a trait of JDT's tenure, thus far. A win is a win, and hopefully it will instil confidence in the players. What would we do without Szmodicz? , (who was playing in his own Cambridgeshire derby). As for Telalovic, sorry, but he wouldn't get in Cambridge's team. We still look all over the place at the back, and that is a worry when we play teams in our own league.
  2. Who to? 😉 Yes, looking forward to 'Even more empty seats than usual' Day.
  3. Yeah, if you're watching, Gregg, soz and any chance of a lollipop?
  4. Yes, and a fat lot of good he is for “the project” when he gets recalled. Another pointless, short term signing and doesn’t even pass the “adding value” test. Neither will the two who have arrived today, and how suitable are they for a relegation fight? It’s all futile. Championship survival is the height of our ambitions, and even that’s looking shaky.
  5. I think Gregg walks around with a bag of lollipops in his pocket.
  6. Well at least he’s got a chance of going up at Ipswich, (a club in League One last season), which is more than he would have here.
  7. When is our Ofsted inspection as a nursery? It’s just going too far. An obsession with youth development, and not even all our own youth.
  8. Which was obviously such a roaring success they felt the need to ship him out on loan. He'll probably never kick a ball for them again.
  9. We will soon be playing with a team of kids in League One. For me, Broughton is a typical Venkys chancer. I think JDT has gone past caring.
  10. They will definitely be selling one less next season. Enough is enough.
  11. Let’s hope it isn’t and they finally f*ck off.
  12. Club captain with considerable Championship experience out. Lightweight kid from Brighton in. Pathetic.
  13. What a farce. We are desperate. How anyone can have a shred of confidence or optimism is beyond me.
  14. The former in my post. You only to have to experience the ‘atmosphere’ on match day to evaluate how many people really “enjoy” attending. The club is a zombie version of it’s former self.
  15. A lot of the fan base have simply stopped attending. Of what’s left, there are the naive happy clappers and the folk who aren’t happy, but attend out of habit.
  16. I agree with you in principle, but, thanks to our fantastic owners, we have been reduced to desperate beggars in the transfer market, so can't really call the shots.
  17. I will attend, but only because my work roster is preventing me from attending league games until February, (which may not be a bad thing!) With the media team currently plugging comedy nights at Ewood, perhaps our on-field comedy will peak on Saturday.
  18. The thing is, whilst Wahlstedt is still young for a keeper, he isn't a kid and has played a senior game for Sweden. He must have been playing a lot better than he is now to earn international recognition. He needed removing from the firing line some time ago, and Hilton can't be up to much at 24 if he isn't getting considered under these circumstances.
  19. Yes, I must admit I have wondered whether or not the injuries are all just down to bad luck, or additional factors. I was working on Monday, which was probably no bad thing.
  20. To be fair, that team has been weakened + add to that the injuries and the start of “the project” in 2022, and the taps being turned off last Summer. I’ve said a few times that our current circumstances (skint) are better suited to a decent, wily manager who can wheel and deal. We’re not going to get that, and I don’t see Broughton bringing in anyone better as head coach. One way or the other, we are b*ggered until the owners go.
  21. Sending a delegation sums up the arrogance of our owners. It’s absolutely incredible that naive idiots still believe they are doing right by the club. We need shot of them, even if it hurts us in the short term.
  22. Wahlstedt needs removing from the firing line for his own good and that of his team mates. Hopefully, Pears will be back soon. He’s not great, but certainly less of a liability than Wahlstedt, on current form. If Pears is going to be out for a while longer, a loan keeper makes sense, or play Hilton, who couldn’t do any worse.
