A bit of objectivity - No new manager / head coach is going to come in and immediately start biting the hand that feeds him. Unlike Gestede, Eustace has not publicly rimmed Suhail and Waggott. Instead, he's just got on with the job. Given our desperate plight, we probably wouldn't replace Eustace with anyone more likely to keep us in the Championship.

Definitely something in that, but I think someone with a bit more experience would have the nouse to dig a little deeper, be it a Rovers fan or otherwise. I guess that being a footy reporter in the local rag is generally just a stepping stone for a young journalist these days, so he’ll be replaced by someone similar in a couple of years time. He just doesn’t get it imo, in yet it’s staring him in the face. Maybe the business reporter would be more appropriate for the bigger picture, and wouldn’t need to tread on egg shells quite as much.

https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/60947Abube.png Allnigeriasoccer.com can report with certainty that English Premier League new boys Ipswich Town are on the brink of announcing the signing of Aston Villa's Nigerian midfielder Abube Onuchukwu. Only an official confirmation of the deal is pending as the 2005-born player has already put pen to paper on a two-year contract, keeping him at the Tractor Boys until June 30, 2026. Onuchukwu will officially become an Ipswich Town player on July 1, 2024, a day after his contract with Aston Villa expires. Ipswich Town have pulled off a massive transfer coup by bringing him to Portman club, beating several Championship and League One clubs to the signature of the versatile central midfielder. Apart from Ipswich Town, Shefield United and Hull City also invited him to attend trials but Onuchukwu had already made up his mind to continue his career with The Blues. Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers, plus League One outfit Peterborough United all made approaches to sign him but were unsuccessful. Although Onuchukwu played predominantly as a central midfielder while at Aston Villa, Ipswich Town are planning to use him as a left-back and left-sided central defender. He joined Aston Villa at U13 level, rising through the youth teams ranks to sign a scholarship deal with the Lions before the start of the 2022-2023 season. “ We didn’t want him anyway “ 😉

So close to leading Leics to a remarkable victory. Never mind, a Sussex win is bad news for Yorkshire 🙂 Good win for Lancs in Division One, and now out of relegation zone. Jimmy Anderson set to play in the next match at Southport which starts on Sunday.

It’s gone under the radar, (and I’m not commenting on whether or not we should have made him an offer), but the hiatus with McFadzean sums up how the club functions. A deal has reportedly been agreed in principle, but the deal hasn’t been completed. That has all the usual hallmarks of having to wait for the owners to rubber stamp a deal, so everything comes to a grinding halt. Therefore, it amazes me how there are still people who expect us to suddenly function normally and go out and be proactive in the transfer market, even if funds are available.

My money's on "Everything Heroin". It's all good, because they're a local company, and nothing to do with alcohol or gambling. -

Yes, but he's made some throwaway, positive soundbites in an interview where he shamelessly rims the likes of Waggott and Suhail, so tea and chat it is. Lovely stuff.

I think a lot of people are torn, but can’t stay away because there is still an emotional attachment. I think this forum is the most anti - Venkys part,of the fan base, which is why I like it on here. Havent got time to post the link just now, but the Interview with Gestede in yesterday ’s LT was a new low. Blatant brown nosing of all the culprits .
