  1. Bowyer chose Chris Brown ahead of King, which was ridiculous.
  2. According to Hull Live, Palmer is out injured.
  3. Agreed, but we were grinding out points, which was already an improvement on what had gone before. All history now anyway.
  4. Hedges to score the winner today 😉
  5. Frank Lampard. Star struck, autograph hunting owners never learn. Frank Lampard.
  6. I remember that advert well, and only one of that couple wanted to be together 😉 A good read, though 🙂
  7. I agree. Lots of other towns had direct London services, too. In Blackpool we lost ours, but it was restored when the Preston to Blackpool line was electrified. If Lumo owners ,First Group, have plumped for Rochdale, they must just think there is a better business case for launching a service from there than other North West towns. A place like Blackburn would be more attractive to an open access operator than a franchise, (or Great British Railways). Eg, Grand Central, who run a direct London service from Bradford, stopping at stations not served by LNER.
  8. It’s Lumo, an open access operator, who have done well on the East Coast Mainline by operating a competitively priced,, no frills alternative to the main LNER service.
  9. Exactly right, and Andy Bayes said much the same pre-match on Saturday.
  10. Maybe, but I’m sure it’s not going unnoticed what he’s doing with ten bob and a bag of balls. He needs to be backed in the January Window, (and yes I know he probably won’t be and that will likely hasten his departure).
  11. Agreed, his narrative is consistent and he’s not a bullshitter or a waffler. He just doesn’t project himself very well, and there are a few too many “You knows”, but he seems to be working on that 🙂
  12. He saved us from relegation. I agree, he’s not very media savvy, (although he’s improving), but you only have to listen to the players to see that he is an excellent communicator and man manager, and they respond to him accordingly. The evidence is there for all to see on the pitch.
  13. It wasn’t a case of that at all, but I was picking up on what someone else had posted. I think it’s a lesson against being reactionary and making snap judgements before someone has had a chance to prove themselves, (or otherwise). The time to judge was at the end of the season. Survival = success, relegation = failure.
  14. There is a difference between constructive criticism and mud slinging. I have no problem with the former. It's all about opinions, and we all view things a bit differently, but it was clear to me that Eustace's strategy was to shore up the defence, (he succeeded), and make us harder to beat, (ditto). Stats can be slanted to suit an argument, but as far as I'm concerned we looked like relegation on a stick at the time JDT went. Eustace did similar when he took over as caretaker at QPR a few seasons ago, also keeping them up, so there was reason to have faith, in my opinion.
  15. He kept us up, it didn't matter how, and some (not all) were belittling and writing him off after about five minutes in the building.
  16. Oh Yes!!! From the moment he managed to bring in two assistants I knew that was rubbish. Strangely enough, I don't see him being dubbed as "Eusless" anymore.
  17. To be fair, that is a specific product and they also do "baps".
  18. .....and probably Southampton this season.
  19. I think credit goes to his two assistants, too. You see them drilling the players, (particularly the defenders), pre-match, and it's well organised and purposeful. They are definitely not just here because they are the head coach's mates.
  20. I view Park’s departure as bad news, as he appears to be well connected and a competent individual who can bring in good players. I have little faith in Gestede, and it’s a shame he won the latest power struggle.
  21. His stock is definitely high, but for now there are no openings. He was seemingly on the fringes for the Coventry and Hull jobs, so I was relieved when they appointed other candidates.
  22. Won’t be long until Eustace becomes disillusioned and gets on the blower to his agent.
  23. Believe me, I hope you’re right, but it’s the worst time to be playing them, (new manager), and the conditions will probably make the game a lottery anyway.
  24. Probably on the grounds of anticipated new manager bounce.
  25. Sorry, this is the Championship and it just doesn't work that way. Yes, we are favourites, but we know from history that does not guarantee victory. I'm relatively confident, but I'd have been more confident had the previous manager still been in charge.
