  1. A classic Venkys era, zombie supporter.
  2. All depends on how well we perform in the first half of the season. We all know what happens from January onwards.
  3. Or, in our case, it’s a sign of negligence and neglect.
  4. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Blackburn Rovers annual second half of the season collapse. A Venkys / Suhail / Waggott / Gestede production.
  5. Exactly, and that’s why any dissenting voices in (what’s left of) the crowd are in a small minority.
  6. Yes, I’ve just seen that. Puts the blame firmly on Suhail.
  7. What the hell do they think they’re doing??!! Don’t they know these sort of deals don’t happen until deadline day? Our crack recruitment team all ready to give the bottom of the barrel a good scrape on 3rd February.
  8. Must admit, I was about to buy my ticket today, then remembered it’s on the telly, and thought of how I felt sat there last night……..
  9. Yes, but the type of people I'm talking about will vent at Eustace, not Venkys, Suhail or Waggott.
  10. Absolutely agree. As I expected, the people who sit behind me are too stupid to see the connection between our usual drop off in form and the disgraceful lack of investment. Alas, the way it's going, these will be the only type of fans in the ground before too long. As all the empty seats last night illustrated, most people have simply had enough and given up.
  11. ⬆️ He’s Rovers new Chief Scout. “I want that one!” ”But he’s 33 and his legs have gone”. ”Yeah I know. That one!”
  12. Perhaps, but when all is said and done, these head coaches / managers are paid professionals, not supporters, and all we can ask is he is does his best whilst he is here. I don’t think anyone can argue that isn’t the case. I’m very much of the opinion he did very well to keep us up last season, and he’s already virtually achieved that this season. If and when he does leave, we are a Coyle type appointment from relegation.
  13. Bypass the midfield and hoof it up to Gueye to head on. That’s probably our best hope.
  14. This is where he differs from JDT. In public, he tows the party line. In private I’m sure he speaks very differently.
  15. Ten bob and a tube of Smarties. Probably an attempt to unsettle the player ahead of tomorrow’s game.
  16. I think it’s more despair and exasperation , than anger. It’s also not really a case of calling out “happy clappers”. It’s supporters who still sympathise with Venkys, and believe the narrative that they are doing all they can. The people who sit behind me are a good example. You certainly couldn’t describe them as being “happy clappers”, (one is extremely vocal with criticism of players), but they react with amazement and scorn if anti - Venky chanting begins.
  17. The irony is that, had Birmingham's new owners not sacked Eustace, there's a good chance he'd have got them to the Play Offs (as a minimum), either last season or this. They clearly fell into the trap of being star struck by a big name as a player, (Rooney), but have now probably learned, and are backing their new manager with hard cash. Had Eustace been retained, and given the same backing, the sky would've been the limit.
  18. Depends whether they were in First Class or not 😉 It wouldn't be that unusual, and arguably better in terms of players being able to get up and walk around, to prevent muscle stiffness. I remember Arsenal hiring their own Pendelino for a cup match at Preston a few years ago, but doubt our budget would stretch to that, (not cheap!)
  19. Belief. I certainly don’t believe he’s a “yes” man. I think he’s a very driven individual, and he will call out people who let him down, in private, if not in public.
  20. Burning torches and giant wicker basket on standby 😉
  21. They forgot to press “submit” 🙄
  22. Gestede and Waggott feel threatened by anyone remotely competent.
