  1. I hope you were eating a Marathon bar and drinking a can of Lilt when you posted 😉
  2. From Wicksy to Renee from ‘Allo ‘Allo. They are clearly obsessed with appointing a foreign head coach (good).
  3. He’s now favourite with several bookmakers 😢 Yes, but Eustace is particularly bad, (and I’ve been a fan since he started).
  4. 🤞It seems they are intent on a foreign head coach, no matter how obscure. Thank God Eustace is called John, not Juan, or he’d no doubt get the gig.
  5. We did, sometimes, although we were also on the wrong end of some absolute hidings, including against the likes of Rotherham. Yes, we missed out on O’Brien, but would he really have made that much difference? I don’t believe it is certain he would’ve taken us up, due to the reasons given in my initial reply to you. Anyway, it sadly appears that history is about to repeat itself 😢
  6. I disagree. Although he was more sinned against than sinner, his stubbornness and lack of pragmatism made the situation worse than it could've been. His man management wasn't great, either, (eg Travis). Also, we hardly ever recovered points from losing positions during his time. With JDT it was either feast or famine, and that wasn't solely due to broken promises.
  7. That’s from a naughty click bait article,(the article, not your post), with a headline which made me believe he’d virtually gone! It’s one of two or three doing the rounds today, and Eustace is still well fancied in the betting stakes. We need Wicksy to hurry up and sign on the dotted line!
  8. Steve, Rudy and Adam will probably diary a meeting in for late January.
  9. 😂 Agreed, it grates, (and I rate him), but if that’s what’s putting other clubs off, ie that he’s John from Solihull not Carlos or Raphael, then I’ll put up with it 🙂
  10. Always wondered what had happened to him since he left Walford.
  11. JE : " Can I have funds to strengthen the squad?" SW : "No." JE : "Goodbye"
  12. Now that result will have hurt them!
  13. They won, again. The winner takes it all.
  14. We're getting close to Jim posting on the Relegation thread 😉
  15. I know it's not easy, but how badly we could've done with a quality attacking player being signed in time to play today. What unfolded was entirely predictable.
  16. Groundhog Day. Another derby where we haven’t been able to lay a glove on them. They produce one bit of quality and , once again, it’s enough. Pardon the irony, but they have the Indian sign on us.
  17. Not expected until late afternoon, (at the moment). At least they are being proactive.
  18. I think it’s just him being himself. Always had plenty to say for himself. Let’s hope he has cause to post AFTER the Dingles game.
  19. We also hadn’t won any of the previous six leading up to the Burnley game. They won (again). Time to turn the tide.
  20. To put that in context, we were in full - scale capitulation mode when that game was played, and it came as little surprise that Burnley won, without having to engage third gear.
  21. Let's hope the undersoil heating is working, (and that someone remembers to switch it on).
  22. May I be so bold as to be the first person this season to say………We’re only goal difference off the Play Off positions (klaxon), it’s still in our own hands, (klaxon) and if we play like we know we can (klaxon) we can still make the play offs (klaxon). It already feels like 2023 😉
  23. I would argue that in the 80s, (in the better seasons), it was more a case of coming up just short, rather than the kind of dramatic collapses we have witnessed in recent years.
  24. …….or at least that’s what they’ve told Eustace. We will know the reality by January 31st.
  25. There is a difference between what someone hopes will happen and what they think will happen. We all hope for a positive outcome, but, on the evidence of yesterday, that doesn't appear likely. We need to buck the trend of terrible January Windows to avoid our standard second half of the season collapse.
