The finishing was in keeping with the rest of the performance - flat and lacklustre. We got what we deserved - nowt. -

No, which may not be a bad thing! -

The utter futility of it all. We’ll bounce around mid-table, (at best), and are more likely to see the squad further weakened, rather than strengthened, in January. Meanwhile , the “geopolitical issues”, as Mr La - Dee - Dah Gunner Broughton dubs them, are eating away at the foundations of the club. Oh, and let’s not forget shameless, grubby second hand car salesmen, Waggott, is still at the wheel. -

There’s no dressing it up, that was utterly dismal, and I think we were fortunate not to lose by more. Realistically, the current team / squad is midtable, at best, and we will lose at least as many as we win However, it was the lacklustre nature of the showing that really rankled. One eye on Wednesday, perhaps? (from the players, not the coaching staff) -
Yes, I think a picture is emerging as to who the better manager is between him and Rosenior. History repeating itself at Brum, with them replacing a low profile manager, who was doing well, with a big name. It backfired when Zola replaced Rowett, and this is heading the same way.

Blimey, no last minute sickener and a mid-week away win! We do like a trip to the Den 🙂 -

I know some keepers prefer to punch, but he takes it to the extreme. That will be costly, sooner or later. -

For now, at least 😉 Tonight’s match sponsor, Lurpak. -

Certainly not in the Championship, at least. -

Oh well, at least we got the disappointment in early for a change. -

A point or three would be great. Not sure that Rowett going is a good thing for us. As we know, results often improve in the aftermath of a managerial departure. Anything other than our standard midweek away defeat, please. -

It’s becoming like ‘virtual’ VAR in the Championship. You never used to see such long delays in officials making a decision about the legality of a goal, (whilst the attacking team are already celebrating). I suppose that’s not necessarily a bad thing, providing the eventual decision reached is the correct one. Until the ball is back on the centre spot you can’t be sure a goal will stand. -

🙂 Here's hoping / dreaming it happens. It's just a shame we weren't drawn at home, as that would've been a night for us to look forward to. -

I think they will, because they’re not in Europe and this competition is their most likely route to a trophy this season. -

That definitely belongs on the optimists thread 😉 The win today is crucial, but it was against a club who have been pretty dire this season, (and will most likely result in the departure of their manager). We've won one and lost four of the last five games. It's a small but very important step in the right direction. -

I was expecting to see you posting in the optimists thread that we're only five points off the Play Off places, Jim 😉 -

Thank goodness for that! A very important win which gives us a nice cushion from the bottom three. Would’ve been horrible sitting on five successive defeats for a fortnight. -

I think there is definitely an element of that in his approach. He often highlights what Maggot has said re - no pressure to get results. With the above in mind, I suspect his attitude is, "I'll stick to my guns , come what may". "If you want to sack me, it will cost you". -

That’s awful news. Wishing your Mum strength to fight it and the very best wishes for her recovery. -
Ennis : Poor injury record (Mr La-de-da gunner Broughton guilty of overlooking this). Telalovic : Looking like a panic buy. Basically, like buying a player from an English club’s academy. Might come good in time. We don’t have time. Leonard : Similar to Telalovic, a youngster who should be getting eased in, not chucked in at the deep end.

Well if our supporters are that thick , they don’t deserve any better. I think Waggott would be the main target.
