Yes, that would be typical of the totally shambolic way the owners operate, and would leave us in serious trouble in preparing for next season. But, hey, we have been assured that the future is bright and things are changing 🙄
-
So if people at the club are happy to freely give information to outsiders about these plans, and “many others” have this information, why the secrecy? As of yet, we have seen no tangible evidence that anything is changing for the better at the club in any meaningful way.

Why is the forum in black and white?

I’ve just restored the colour and have had an epiphany that Tony is our lord and saviour after all 😉 -

Barring an unexpectedly good result v PNE, I think Mowbray’s departure might be announced prior to the last home game. I’m not sure about the “100% support”, but it would take the heat out of the occasion. -

It felt like meek acceptance from the majority of supporters in the ground. People are prepared to accept this crap, which is very sad. -

He got injured right at the end of the game on Friday. Let’s be honest, we will probably never see the player of a year or two again. -
Maybe it’s all a cunning plan from Mowbray. Sign the contract at WBA and then perform so terribly at Rovers that WBA pay him off before he’s even started 😉 No smoke without fire, but I would be astounded if Mowbray goes to WBA. I doubt he has signed a contract there and, assuming he hasn’t, why on Earth would they want him now? Bruce continuing or Dyche far more likely.

Silvester is the club secretary, so you can count him out of the decision making process. Waggott’s football pedigree is a tragi-comedy and he is basically a hired goon. That leaves Pasha, aka the invisible man, as king maker. If, as suggested, he’s the guy who jettisoned Warnock for Coyle, he is evidently clueless.

Championship 21/22

It’s not inconceivable that we could beat Stoke. However, I firmly expect us to lose at Preston. -
If WBA finish the season strongly, I would wager that Steve Bruce will be their manager next season.
-
If he does that he risks annoying them, and that would put his job at risk, (if he plans on staying).
-
Hmm. The way it’s going, WBA will finish higher than us this season. Would they really swap Bruce for Mowbray if that happens? I doubt it.

Venkys are a gift horse for someone like Mowbray. I’m not comparing him to Kean, but he is basically employing the same tactics to preserve his job. Feeding a load of spin to gullible fools. -
Yes, Davis intentionally borrowed that quote to use against Boris.

Which the prospective club will now have sent to their solicitors to wriggle out of 😂 Why would anyone with one iota of ambition want Mowbray? He’ll be on that plane to India to bullshit his way into a new contract. -
That would be David Davis, who sometimes jumps on the trains I drive to London at Howden. I think he’s a knob, but I did mouth “good morning” to him on the platform from the cab a few days after he said that. Unfortunately, like Johnson, Mowbray is still in situ.

Agreed, We won’t pay the wages for a decent manager, but are happy to throw money away in all sorts of ways. That comes down to not having the right person / people making the decisions, (you may as well have a word with Lulu as Waggott for what power he has at the club). We can afford it, but are blinded by ignorance. The “strategy” is certainly not to develop players and let them leave for nothing. The bottom line is that is what will happen.
-
Coyle was a one season wonder (ever in football). There in lies the difference.
-
…..and of course any decent manager will bring in one of the club’s own youngsters if he is good enough. Have a look at what respected football folk are saying about Dyche. The sad thing is, if our owners and / or their advisers had half a football brain between them, they would be on to Dyche’s agent today. That is the reason he is an unrealistic target. Not because we couldn’t get him, but because this strategy you speak of is a figment of your imagination. We are looking at giving away two of our academy alumni this Summer. Some strategy.
-
Well that makes more sense than getting giddy over a bloke who was at Barnsley for five minutes. No, I don’t think he would come here, unfortunately. As for our youngsters, they are taken care of by the Academy staff. That doesn’t come down to the first team manager. He gets to pick the fruits of the labour of others, (eh, Tony?). We need a manager who has half a chance of getting us promoted. Not many fit the bill. Dyche clearly does.
