  1. I guess if Waggott thinks that his buddy, Mowbray, is for the chop, it’s in his interests to distance himself in order to attempt to save his own skin. I doubt very much he has the authority to hire and fire, but could make recommendations.
  2. As previously stated re - Ainsworth, you have to factor in the size and limitations of Wycombe Wanderers. There is an element of risk about the step up, but there is an element of risk with most appointments. I just believe he would be a good fit, and would immediately unite the fanbase. His enthusiasm would also be a breath of fresh air. Highly unlikely it will happen for three obvious reasons. We are run by ignorant buffoons, he's under contract and is with the wrong agency.
  3. Yes, I think it’s time the violins were put away. At most other clubs he would’ve been long gone. Its just not the right way to run a club and, IF, they decide against offering Mowbray a new contract, what happens next, and how long does it take.
  4. Yes, and that decision will impact on the atmosphere at kick off. Give people something to believe in.
  5. It's standard practice for managers to show support for each other. A bit like when Kaminski was asked about Mowbray, Wilder would not say anything derogatory.
  6. Fair point, but they have had the distinct advantage of a sh*t load of money to spend, eg the January window. In relative terms they are in danger of blowing it.
  7. The battle of the bottle jobs.
  8. The context of this game will become clear after QPR v Sheffield United on Friday evening. It will be very interesting to see how we do if the game actually means something.
  9. Yes, why wait until we’re 6 points off the Play Offs? It’s beyond satire to be the worst team in the League over a fifteen game stretch, and then go and batter a decent, middling team on their own ground. We can only hope QPR fancy it on Friday evening.
  10. Just finished work and got the result. Don’t know whether to laugh or cry. The flat track bullies ride again.
  11. I remember Everton almost going down in the 90’s, until Hans Segers “chucked” one in the net for them. My hunch is that they will be the ones to drop. Tough looking fixtures and a manager who looks out of place in a relegation battle.
  12. Yes, imagine being an Everton player or supporter right now. Just what they didn’t need before entering the lion’s den.
  13. I'm hoping the only reason Mowbray's departure hasn't been announced is that we still have a theoretical chance of promotion.
  14. Still waiting for all the “twists and turns” that one or two were promising 🙄
  15. I’m a former season ticket holder and haven’t had any direct info from the club.
  16. I think they have a spy on here as I appear to have been kicked out of their happy crappy group after some negative comments I posted about it on here. I can live with that 😂
  17. The season ticket launch could hardly be any lower key, could it, other than putting a hand written sign on the ticket office window. I only know about it because I visit this site. Might as well just be some random saying, “Meh, what else are you going to do every other Saturday afternoon?” Get Waggott and Mowbray sacked and show some ambition.
  18. https://www.westbromnews.co.uk/2022/04/22/steve-bruce-could-still-be-axed-by-west-brom-at-end-of-the-season-steve-madeley/ Yes, but have they checked with Rothwell’s Dad? 😉
  19. Yep, should be a half season ticket as we only play for half a season. The only way they will shift a decent number is by binning Mowbray and bringing in someone to reignite interest ASAP.
  20. No surprise. Maybe Rothwell’s Dad was just mouthing off, or quite possibly didn’t know the full story Unless West Brom’s owners are as daft as ours, there is no way they would jettison Bruce for Mowbray. Evidently they are not that stupid. Please don’t let this mean we are stuck with Mowbray.
  21. Well if we have to put up with Mowbray again they should be half season tickets from the off, because that’s all we play for.
  22. You’re also playing on Sunday, so that’s not their game in hand, but if I was an Everton fan with their fixtures I’d be pretty worried.
  23. I would prefer Burnley’s run in to Everton’s. They could be ahead of Everton by the weekend.
  24. Yes, that was it, I think, the one Gav was alluding to, (2017).
