Is he going to say Rothwell and Nyambe wont sign new deals ,because i dont rate them as highly as they rate themselves.He leaves Nyambe out whenever he can so i do not believe it is just down to money with Nyambe. Its like when you say if we cant bring players in because of ffp they why aint Mowbray and Waggott referring to it through media and using it as an excuse. How could they use it as an excuse?It would be on their watch and their fault thst we would be close to breaking the ffp rules.

Offers have been made according to the club. With all due respect you have no idea how much these players are wanting.You have no idea if its purely down to money why they havent signed on. Nyambe might be tied down now if Mowbray hadnt given new deals to Bennett and Smallwood or if he didnt leave him out whenever there is another option available Similar with Rothwell,only this season starting every week.

I would agree he has made some very good signings but he has also wasted a lot of money aswell. And like i keep saying up until Armstrong was sold his net spend wasnt miniscule, far from it. Other clubs do spend on wages but maybe if Mowbray wasnt so quick to dish out new deals for the "men" in the dressing room upon promotion Bennett ,Mulgrew,Smallwood etc perhaps Nyambe would be tied down now. If he didnt have to choose to change our tactics,formation and personal on a weekly basis maybe we wouldnt have to have such a big squad and have to fill our loan allocation every season. Only Raya was sold for a fee above 1 million before Armstrong departed.How many players in that time were brought in? Brererton and Gallagher its looking likely we will make profit on Brererton at least but again were we in the situation as a club to pay out big fees like that and then wait 2 years before seeing anything from them? And other clubs have spent more but they have brought money in.We had brought 3 milllion in for Raya, 500k for Nuttall and a few nominal fees up until Armstrong was sold and Raya got promoted which gave us an extra 2 million. Im talking pre armstrong sale but he had plenty of money made available to him.

I can admit Mowbray has done some good things and he deserves credit for them but it doesnt matter how many good signings he makes or how much profit he makes even how much money he spends he will continue to think he is Pep and over complicate things, changing formation every other week and changing the team every fecking match.He just cant help himself, he will never stick to the formstion and personnell that suits us. And i agree the owners are useless and want them out as much as anyone but they have put the money in throughout Mowbrays reign up until this summer

Exactly just the transfer fees are brought into it. We have a wage bill that far exceeds our income the owners have to cover that. Ayala would have been a costly deal and he hardly kicked a ball for 12 months

And all the other signings?The fact prior to armstrong leaving he had sold one first team player that got a fee of above a million? Who pays our big wagebill as our income doesnt cover it? 11 players were added to our wagebill last summer

If he kept to his best 11 and stopped coming out with a load of guff in the media he would get a lot more leeway from me. He never takes responsibility and his constant changing of the team and formation is beyond infuriating.

He hasnt pulled in nearly 20 million for Armstrong.With what newcastle recieved as part of the deal and take away what we paid for him we cleared about 10 million. Gallagher and Brererton was 12 million and yeah they are playing well this season but were we in a position as a club that we could be waiting around 2 or 3 years for players that cost that sort of money to develop?

Agree with that but still until they stop paying the bills then I think its hyperbolic to be labelling them the worst owners ever when other clubs have been through a lot more than we have due to ownership.

I accept some people have unfortunately lost their jobs but not to the same degree as some of the other clubs who have gone into admin. The owners don't care about us and know nothing about football.Mowbray was given a budget last summer , a budget that allowed him to bring in 11 players so it wasn't the Venkys saying "no you can't sign Downing" it was his decision to not pursue it at the time because like the quotes Chaddy posted tells us he wanted 6 or 7 in beforehand.

Don't disagree that Venkys should be getting stick.But again you are absolving the manager of blame. Who do you think recommended that Mulgrew,Bennett, Evans, Smallwood etc etc got new long term contracts when we got promoted?Suppose it was the owners idea? Was it the Venkys who recommended Rodwell came in on good money? Was it the Venkys who recommended we hand out extensions and pay players that didn't see any action after the covid break? Ayala has played well this season, but last season after signing a deal on most likely top end of our wage structure he hardly played and when he did he played poorly. That's a lot of money over the course of those contracts for not very much in return . So although Mowbray may not do the negotiations but he recommends who gets new contracts and who is signed so we are counting the cost of those mistakes now.He certainly deserves part of the blame
